  • All I'll say is ..I was born too late ..:( ..but thankfuly my generation (the first of the gen Y's) still has some memories of great hairmetal (end of the 80's/early 90's) before things really began going downhill .. no disrespect to house and grunge (RIP Kurt) but nothing can trump glam and hard rock

  • Great!

  • audio is horrible

  • back to the 80

  • Ricooooo

  • i kicked Marc at a party in Batavia when I was 17. My brush with not really greatness. lol

  • Saw these dudes open for Bon Jovi in Landover Maryland and I was blown away by Ron and the boys... TRULY LOVED THIS ALBUM - Cherry Lane was my Fave!!!

  • great!

  • Total Collapse . com

  • Met Mark Ferrari and Brian Jay at a music store while they were on tour in 1985. Mark was super down-to-earth, and a really humble guy. Brain was an arrogant jerk.

  • 80's headbangers remember headbangers ball? of course you do we'd wait all week to watch sat. night a whole gang of us passing the bottle a round just jamming, laughing watching who would pass out before the show went off, i believe it was what 3 hrs? we usually recorded it good times gone for good almost all of our crowd is either dead, married and stuck, or in jail now sad but true...

  • the low volume has nothing to do with this video

  • Awsome song :)

  • haha I read Marc book... lol ROCK STAR 101 lol

  • Keel was an interesting band. You could tell that the real star was Ron Keel and the rest of the group was no more or less talented than a local bar band. You can kind of tell this by the way Ron Keel overly hams up each performance to sell the image while the rest of the band does a good job of posing their way around him.

Take the video for Tears of Fire where they play a small town bar in the middle of nowhere, but make it look like Madison Square Garden. Good 'stage moves' tho.

  • @HitlerOnTheRoof ya he fucking kills it; thats what makes a good frontman though, whether or not the band aint as good as him. too bad really, i think thats exactly what held them back from radio success. now steeler on the other hand....

  • Damn I grew up in the wrong generation

  • y sigue pateando culos por que esto si es música duela le a quien le duela

  • somebody who wants to build a hairmetal band in sweden , just sign up

  • Ohhhhhhhhhhh Marc Ferrari................. STILL love you!

  • liked all of Keel cept this album....not near as heavy or edgy!!

  • @kelcoke well, i agree the self titled keel album does have a more heavily over produced sound than the others. But i still like the album. This song & many others from it as well

  • @80sGlamMetalFan yea its still a good album...jus not one of my favs

  • i love it

  • sickk!!

  • Best fuckin Keel song EVER!!!!!!!

  • by far the best keel song...they have others, but this is the best

  • @digdug322 agreed, this is their best song

  • ron keel played also in steeler with yngwie malmsteen it is a matter of fact that i have that record from 1983 before yngwie expanded and later played with alcatraz

    keel rocks dude

  • i got LP from keel jajaja nice band.

  • i havent heard this song in about 22 years!!!

  • @hobbit151 this song is definitely awesome. i wish, RON KEEL played more guitar on all his songs. or atlest, in concert.

  • There is tons of great guitar work out there you just have to know where to look! Unsigned bands and most Prog/Power bands from all over Europe wail on guitar! Alot of the stuff coming out of abroad has strong 80's influence!

  • yeah, i think there are some good songs from rock today, but the problem i have is that the guitar is no longer glorified like it used to be. There is no SICK guitar riffs, and solos like this 80's rock, and earlier if you think about it. Today its like, how many times can i hit the same power chord. :/ lame. and some of the music that actually has better guitar, is some stuff like death metal and viking metal... no good. THIS STUFF ROCKS FOREVER MAN!!!

  • great band they open for cinderella at the house of blue in AC

  • love it

  • the bass player Kenny, is my baseball coach

  • @mwsundevil42 Really???

  • @alisimon5 Ya and he is king of a jerk

  • Alot of great memories watching this video,I miss the 80's

  • @lamons71 Me to dude !!!!

  • I would need thousands of hands to count how many people want this music back ;including myself. What I really want to say is maybe? it could have been a good idea for popular bands to take smaller bands and teach them. Sort of like; if the original band breaks up for whatever reason, theirs another band to fill in and so forth. What it boils down to is team work, 4 or 5 people in a band can't hold the world in their hands forever!

  • @golddusters go and check out bands like The Poodles, Scream Arena, H.E.A.T, Reckless Love..and you will find this music is coming back..

  • @Priestking1000 and don't forget bands like crashdiet and steel panther! :D

  • @Priestking1000 and don't forget bands like crashdiet and steel panther! :D

  • @golddusters It is coming back..bands like England's Scream Arena and Sweden's The Poodles and HEAT are carrying the torch

  • This sounds like more!! :D Amazing band!

  • Hey jacksonmetal57: You have the reason. It´s very difficult to find good metal these days. You´re right. Nothing like the 80s..

  • whoooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!! heavy metal!

  • Whoa, I thought I had only hallucinated this one...........

  • man they should bring back the classic head bangers ball so people could start getting back into this music damn it

  • I agree

  • keel truely rocks

  • I still to this day LOVE Bryan Jay's guitar solo!! It rocks my face off!!

  • Comment removed

  • my first concert was keel in tayloville ill. why cant we make relavent music nowdays (rims and bitches withstanding)? 2nd show was tesla. then ace frehley. then the ozzy and metallica years. metal rules. its just hard to find good metal now-a-days. what up?

  • This is music! What a tune!

  • hey rockers we love this music .the music we have now is a shame. and anyone with 2 eyes and an asshole knows it!

  • @crashk88 haha well said!!

  • @crashk88

oh true that mate korn and shit alike is just crap just trying to recreat what we had in the 80s and early 90s.

  • @waylee147 haha fuck you cunt. korn is 90;s music dumb fuck haha you fuckin suck at everything. FAIL

  • i'll hope they will play SRF in 2010

  • metalsyn is pretty close to accurate on the formation of Keel. A year or so before that Ron had a band called "Steeler". How do I know? Because my band did shows with them. Most memorable (to me) was the one in Irvine at the UCI campus.

  • @gpaai I have that steeler CD with Yngwie on guitar, smokin playing.

  • Yeah, he tears it up...

  • This is when life and music kicked ass!!! Girls with the hair to the roof! Damn I miss the 80's. This music kicked ass!!

  • @milkmann0069 can you find a time machine so i can get back to the 80s and back to the city so i can be happy forever

  • Tuesday night manchester will be rockin!

  • i miss the 80's

  • the 80's rock is still awsome

  • @reditreefrogs: Arizona, actually, Prescott if I remember correctly

My kid brother bought me Keel's Final Frontier on cassette, I now own five of their albums. It's fun to blast them around the rap fans at work, drives them nuts.

  • Keel was formed in Rhode Island I believe..

  • No way, not even close! Keel is from LA., formed in 1984... Their first gig was at Perkin's Palace in Pasadena, CA.

  • this video was made when music was good

  • Today's music is meaningless to me. It's the main reason why i will not watch MtV or VH1. They have gotten so far away from what got them on TV in the first place. Music Television music videos and shows about music and concerts,. Not DRSTV "Dumb Reality Show TV". The only 1 I will watch is VH1 Classic.

  • I have all the Keel CD's and blast them in the car because I like the loudness, now adays the music is there to put people to sleep....

  • If Keel had become popular earlier in the eities, they would have probably lasted. Or at least been more well known.

  • I had recorded all these videos back in the 80's on VHS. Including Hurricane, Stryper, Loudness, Krokus, everything on Headbangers' Ball but toss it away:(

  • Takes me back !!!! I remember watching Headbanger's Ball and trying to catch this video TO TAPE it on the VHS!!!! Ron Keel IS yummie!!!

  • I have a book by Marc Ferrari and he sounds like someone who's really hardworking...but the music business could've changed that.

  • Ron Keel is doing country. I met Marc Ferrari at a Vinnie Moore concert. He's a douchebag.

  • gonna see them tomorrow in maryland!

    it'll be awesome

  • I was there, l spent more time at the second stage than the main stage. Keel was pretty good, l hope they release a new disc like Ron Keel said.

  • I'll see them tomorrow at the M3 concert in Maryland. I hope they play this.

  • Keel kicks ass!!!!!.....THE RIGHT TO ROCK!!!!!

  • i love this song...a real anthem

    the solo's hot, tasty

  • Wow this song is amazing!

  • This one of my fav songs of all time.I love this song dont U. My sister was right keel fukkin roks

  • Keel rocks! Marc Ferrari is real good!

  • ANYONE UP? I NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO

I NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO 5e

  • seen this band in the 80`s he`s trying to be a country star now haha

  • SOMEONE TALK TO ME

    great vid XW

  • Sorry,

I can't get into this song...

There was a lot of crappy shit that came out back then and this had to be some of it. This band could've done better.

  • First of all, how old are you? Keel was one of the best metal bands in the 80's! The only crappy shit that came out in the 80's was rap.

  • How can you hate a song like this one, it's impossible!!!

  • die in a fucking fire. why the hell are you here if u apparently hate Keel you retard =.=. get a life other than looking up bands you dont like just to scoff at them, faggot.

  • y & t sound like fags

  • ... joke?

  • Check your dates bud. You might want to rephrase that to: "Bon Jovi ripped these guys off!"

  • Maybe you should check your dates. As far as I know, this song is from the album KEEL released 1987. The clip to You Give Love a Bad Name was released the summer of 1986, and was filmed in the middle of the Judas Priest tour the same year. I don't understand why people give me negative ratings either. Just check out the clip for YGLABN. It's almost identical.

  • Blackiesharley,Thanks so much for suggesting this song.I love it, never heard it before ,but you're right its a good one for times like these.Maybe I'll put it on my MP3 player to jog to,great talking to you!Donna

  • Man this brings back memories. Love the eighties HAIR BAND GUITARS. Great riff and hooks in this song.

  • I can't seriously watch Keel videos after seeing a "Where are they now" and he was talking about all he needs is guitar, pickup truck and dawg. Sellout.

  • Awesome song. I still have a ton of headbanger's ball shows on tape. Brings back great memories. Thanks!!

  • Ron Keel is a talented vocalist and will always be at the best of his game no matter what he is doing currently. Frankly, i think only true talent can shine outside their original packaging- not everyone can do it...can you?

    tara

  • Whatever Ron Keel's done in the last twenty years, this song kicks ass. I remember the fall of 1987 driving to my part-time job at the grocery store while I cranked this album from the cassette deck in my dad's 1984 Olds Cutlass.

Ah. Good times. Where's my mullet?

  • what band is?

  • broke back keel

  • haha ha!

  • country homo

  • ron keel is a country singer now

  • From hard rock/heavy metal to country music is much more like it.Also, very shocking!

  • he`s a country singer now

  • solo is by bryan jay

  • ya uncle ronyou rock that song lol love you uncle ron (yes that is my uncle for real im serious)

  • Holy crap. This has been bugging me forever, but I finally figured it out. Ron Keel and Nicholas Cage were separated at birth.

    I wonder if Nick can sing . . .

  • Ron's playing in Las Vegas these days, look him on myspace, got some cool tunes on there.

    DJK

  • keel look around somebody's waitin for your comeback!!!!!!!!!

yo ferrari, BADASS SOLO, that's how you do it!

  • Good roCkn' bro but that aint Marc Ferrari's solo

  • Brian Jay lived across the street from me in Carson, CA. Keel rules!!!!!!!! Final frontier!

  • what is the band doing now>????does it exist?????

  • amazing vocals kickass rhythm this band is under rated for sure no doubt

  • Forgot this song. I was listening to bunch of Keel today. IMO Black N Blue and Keel were bands that should have made it over a Warrant and a Poison.

  • I agree with you on that. However. Ratt destroys them all. warrent d martini and that sound. and then lets not forget george lynch with dokken and oh, wait, yngwie malmsteens rising force.

  • dude, that first warrant album is fuckin awesome, great solos and arrangement, fuckin sexy macho young gun rock kid shit!

  • While Black n blue and keel were great bands, I don't agree that warrant was a bad band. They cud play and compose. Although i agree with u about poison. Although i wud rather listen to poison than be seen dead listening to today's shit. today's shit blows!!!!

  • Where did Keel go ? i believe he went country.

I played country for about 2 weeks then i got my cast off. worst time of my life.rock on!

  • I think this is awesome Keel roxx!

  • I cant bielieve they replaced Yngwie fucken Malmsteen with that fucken clown of a guitar player. Hey guess what, Yngwie is still around, wheres Keel lol.

  • don't hate on Marc Ferrari

  • Ron's band Steeler was with Yngwie not KEEL.

  • Yngwie Malmsteen my ass!!!!

  • @headbanger92 Whatever your name is my ass
