ok I know some smart people skydive so I have a question:

I have around 40 jumps logged and I think after about 20 or so it just wasnt thrilling to me anymore and at this point its actually kind of boreing to me. I've heard that there is some protein that I may have an imballence in that may be the reason for my lack of excitment when jumping, the problem with that is it started out extremely thrilling.I want to know why some people get excited after 1000 jumps and I dont after 40. Anyone?

I had the same problem until i started jumping with other people in formation skydiving then it all came back and it was alot more interesting again.

I made 1600 jumps and have my D licence and here is your problem. Like any sport even skydiving you get over the initial thrill of doing some thing crazy.  You need to challenge yourself. Try some competition or get into building big formations with other skydivers. Give something back to the sport through like teaching students once you have enough jumps and ur D licence. There is no protein or anything, you just need to find some buddies and go challenge yourself in some competitions.

sullysix... dude,, i dont know what is up ure ass but what i said is well intentioned and true. The first thing they teach u before ure first aff jump is to analyze your line twists carefully. Many idiots such as ureself make the mistake in cautting away a perfectly fixable problem. If u can still stay with ure main shute, no reason to let it go. OBVIOUSLY, if u have 20 line twist u should cut away, but if not, give it one more second.

Prelan, L\line twists normaly occurs due to ure instability during freefall just before opening ure shoot. The more stable u are, the better it will open. Good luck with AFF and ENJOY!!! Better then sex, and lasts longer!!

Some of you seem to forget that a pro chute is much smaller and much harder too handle than a student chute. You'll never have too cut away from a twist on a student chute but in some pro chutes it can be very dangerous

I only said cut away if you don't have control at 2,500 feet. That's what the trained us to do. If you're pulling at 5,000 that's more than enough time to get a line twist out.

I did what they call a tandem jump. 10,500ft. We chewed up 6,500ft in 40 seconds. All I kept thinking of was what if I'd separate from this guy? In June last year the happened to a woman in Ohio. I was fucked up from my jump for a good six weeks. How many people can say they have done cartwheels at 120MPH?

Scary? No - a line OVER is scary.

A line twist aint shat, not unless you had a very low opening and youre heading into a tree or a barn!!

If you pack right and open stable, you'll only have line twists only once out of about 10 jumps.

eh it all depends. You can have only a handfull of jumps and a crap load of time/coaching in a wind tunnel and you might be able to pull it off. Or thousands of jumps with no wind tunnel time and you MIGHT get that good.
