korek...i myself is in favor of Martial law in order to restore Normalcy,law and order...but ofcourse on a limited time only...i think a 60 days window is more than enough to restore peace and order in that particular area.

takot na kung takot...my point is this martial law will not be another marcos type of martial rule...the world esp the US is keeping an eye on this particular situation. Besides..maraming safeguards in our 1987 Constitution that this special privelege accorded to the president won't be abused.

War is sometimes needed to gain peace. One example is the returnof mcarthur. many perished but the country was liberated from the japanese occupiers. same way w/ mindanao. to erase extremism and dictatorial attitude of some muslim leaders there one is needed also. Vision urself right now were you can go in all parts of the philippines w/o the fear of being kidnapped, whre in all parts of the country ang namumuno ay mga civilized na tao.

During eraps time although I don't like him as a president, this was the only time he did right in pushing away the abuser terrorist islamic rebels and terrorist. many camps have been succesfully taken by the afp until erap was ousted bcoz of his stupidity in hweteng and other scandals

Justice for the victim in Maguindanao is moving very slow but this Martial Law will help them achieve justice. Thanks GMA, before leaving your post you done a great job.
