He's right. I looked for 17 years for another copy of "How's Everything" after the CASSETTE broke in 1990. I first got online in 2004, and Amazon basically said "No, we don't have it - but if you send us $65 we'll send you a copy when we get one in!"
FINALLY, in 2007 a jillion copies magically appear there - and now I can die a happy man. Hell, Biro, I'll dub you a copy!
I saw the man in Scottsdale in the early 90s.
I actually heard "Round Trip" once in a Mesa ABCO around then as well.
@nobmarley806 to me the bass was played (the intro ) with the keyboard than later the bass player could be the one who plays with Casiopea ( a famous band from Japan )
you can tell grusin had some part of this track - the great DAVE GRUSIN did some fantastic fusion albums in the late 70's early 80's then his own label GRP to which I own most of the catalog thankyou Mr Grusin!!!!
this is the studio version, but on my "How's everything" album it is a live concert with a applause, almost the same song note for note but i prefer the live with the orchestra
I was only 18 in 1980 when I heard the album being played by my friend in his Sony Walkman(the very first model). Has been Sadao fan since then and I still spin the LP which I later bought until now... I also bought the CD :D
No, no, no, I just noticed you have the pic from HOWS EVERYTHING, and I not unreasonably thought the version of NICE SHOT came from that, which featured a powerhouse rhythm section (Dave Grusin, Richard Tee, Steve Gadd, et al) plus the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. I was at that concert in Tokyo as a kid, and I remember it fondly still!
Many years ago,I had another version of 'Sadao'nailing this baaad tune.Live with the 'Japanese Allstars'.It truly is not of this world. If anyone has it,I would pay dearly.
Please put me out of the misery I no doubt deserve. One love & good music to your who know.
Try to get hold of the live recording of this album. The sound production is brilliant and it has a wonderful atmospheric sound. (+ Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, and fed by the energy of a live audience at Budokan..)

この曲はスタジオ録画だから、ファンキーな曲だけれど、吹きまっくたり
dsにしろb にしろ弾きまくったりしている感じが無い。クールな曲になってしまっている。

Loveley tune - but I must agree, the live version sticks profoundly in my musical mind. Envy you being at the concert...
sperry22ut 2 years ago
Er, I see this isn't from HOW'S EVERYTHING. I was there - and there's no orchestra!

It's the best I could do :-) - I couldn't find a picture of the album or single release (if it existed).
