My Picture is perfect on it, beutiful HD and lovely picture. Only problam is the trumotion! ive set it to high but ive noticed latley it says 60hz when changing channels which explains alot when im playing games such as fifa 10 and watching fast motion movies, is it anything to do with the HDMI cable at all or am i setting it up wrong? I need a reply please :(

hey i got a question i got the same tv..and a JVC TH-g30 dvd/surround with 1080p HDMI output.

but when i watch movies with the HDMI output i select 1080p in setup...and on the tv remote i hit Enter it says 1080P so far so good..But man the quality sucks!!!!!!...i tried all 'picture setups my own looks best.

backlight.90.contrast.90.brigh­tness.45.color.50.

sharpness.70.freshcontrast.hig­h.blacklevel.high.

but still looks crap..i use HDMI 1.3 cable..whats wrong??

Haha, I had multiple windows open, and accidentally pasted 42LG5000 into YouTube instead of where I bought it from.

hello, i am thinking of getting a sony dual 5 1/4 centercannel and a bigger sub, is it worth getting those two if i dont replace my left and right and rear speakers or do you have to get all 6 peices to do any good?

cool set up, does the 42lg5000 come with a led back light? or is that just light bleeding out of the rear of the lcd?

Well im a Student, if i would have more money to spend i would do it.

But this was the limit.

I changed the Blurayplayer to the Western Digital HD TV Player now.

Ok so i tested this tv, and the picture is awsome, it´s more of a monitor then tv, the bluray videos looks amazing on this lcd tv, but beware of the input lag when playing Tekken online, i played on this for 3 hours and every matc waz lagy, if not playing Tekken it´s the perfekt TV, 4/5 for this tv.

i wonder what the input lag is on this tv cuz it kooks real nice but many say that LG have verry problem with input lag playing like say tekken?

I played some PS3 Games and Crysis from PC. I couldnt recognize any input lag either.

Guys in "the States"..... If you're interested in this set, and there's an HHGregg store nearby, they'll beat ANY price on this. I got mine a week ago (12-20-2008) for $750 + tax. Cheapest I've seen it in stores is $949 @ BrandSmart.

Nein ist es nicht, nur Philips hat Ambilight und kein Hersteller auch nur was vergleichbares.

Zuerst hatte ich IKEA Dioder an meinem TV welches sich aber bei meinem Wandabstand von 3cm nicht eignet, daher habe ich eine 5m LED Lichterkette rechteckig hinter den Fernseher angebracht.

Eine Frage hätte ich noch. Bist du mit dem LG5000 Zufrieden was die Bildqualität angeht und das es keine 100-Hertz-Technik verbaut?

Das ist die große Schwäche des 5000er. Die bewegungsdarstellung. Wobei laufschriften und NewsTicker nicht sein Problem sind. sondern eher feine Strukturen in Textilien zb (Bluray Filmen) können ein leichtes Flimmern erzeugen.

Abgesehn davon bin ich sehr zufrieden (Fargbtreue hammer, Hauttöne sind realistisch, Weiß strahlt weiß und wird nicht gedimmt wie bei anderen Herstellern). Leider gibt es keinen perfekten Fernseher, und ich habe nur 710€ für einen neuen 42" LG5000 bezahlt.
