  • so what? eastern karelia belonged to russia even when there was no finland state/autonomy in any form. do you really think that russians will give you eastern karelia just because some retards yelling? the swedes have more rights on your western coast than you guys.

  • You never get it back, old dumbheads)) You was fighting so bad))

  • Russia and Finland really don't care about Karelia, as it's said it's old nostalgic crying, Finns, you never will have it!

Instead wishing someday that the land of my ancestors will be independet, not part of Russia nor Finland.

  • why do you guys cry it somwhere in Finland? Go close to Kremlin walls and cry it here, as we "vitun ryssät" do when we want something from Kremlin motherfuckers. No dare? Then shut up!

  • entäs siel 400 000 asuvaa ryssää? näinkö iloisesti otettais ne meidän kansalaisiks vai

  • send all ryssät into jails and concentration camps, as you did in 1941 when seized petroskoi? why no? "civilized" people allowed to do this, only "evil russian savages" should be blamed for it even decades after

  • Well, it was Russia who first attacked Finland in 1939, so...

Naja, of course that doesn't justify the Finnish actions in the Russian Karelia (which has never been part of Finland, unlike the Karelian Isthmus and a part of Ladoga Karelia)...

  • Ruotsihan voisi samalla logiikalla vaatia Suomea takaisin vanhaan yhteyteensä.

  • Karjala takasi vaikka pullo kerralla perkele!

  • onks tää tampereelta???

  • repes tuol lopus :D

  • fuck off, pukkinen. punks rnt dead.

  • Hyvää asiaa ajavat!

  • toi pappa päätti pistää paremmaks tos lopus :D tollane helevetinmoine banderolli mitä se ei oikee hallitse

  • Karjala takaisin, vaikka tölkki kerrallaan taanana!!

  • Muute jaksavat noi jotkut vanhukset itkee siit et haluavat karjalan takasin vaik ei se yhtää huonokaa juttu ois :|

  • Russian propaganda...

  • True.

  • Paskat sulla on housuissasi. Et selvästikään tunne aluetta etkä muutenkaan asiasta hevon vittua joten pitäisitkö turpasi kiinni ettet vaikuttaisi täys-imbesilliltä?

  • So who is stupid? HAH. You come here and say that you have historical connections to Karelia. You are a funny guy. That area has always been finnish or finnish related. Ok read history about those areas, if you have lived there about 60 years you think those areas belong to you. Just guess how long we have lived there?!?

  • It would be about time Russia would accept multicultural society. Karelia language has no real status in Russia!

  • ei vittu :DD

  • To return territory, it was necessary to own this territory. And Kareliya never belonged to Finland.

  • "And Kareliya never belonged to Finland."

Where have you been during history lessons?

  • karelia never belonged to finland, because it belonged to russia from times of Novgorod Feudal Republic to present days. But finland occupied karelia in short period of WWII.

maybe hot finnish guys still want to occupy sortavala or vyborg???)

  • It's sad how little history you know. Karelia was part of Finland from 1918 to 1945, originally recognized as a traditionally Finnish land by the Bolsheviks. For crying out loud, the damn Kalevala was based on Karelian songs. It was the USSR that invaded and took it from Finland in an unprovoked war of aggression--which was solidified by Stalin's friendship with the Nazi regime in 1939. Use your head.

  • about what karelia you talking? about little region of vyborg? i thought you talking about all karelia)))...sorry, but i think you are not fool for want it back...

  • The proper name of the city is Viipuri. There are also lands in the Northeast. The Karelia that Finland legally owned prior to 1945 included much of the NW banks of Lake Ladoga. RE: larger Karelia: Separating Finns from Karelians is largely a fantasy of postwar Soviet propaganda. They are like brothers ethnically and linguistically. The vast majority of Russians moved there after 1945 to justify the WWII invasion. Karelians have overwhelming asked to be part of Finland, and Stalin knew it.

  • Right, and how many of them lived in Petrozavodsk? Do you even know what gerrymandering is? Finland has no claim over those cities founded by Peter the Great. He built them to push Finnic peoples out of Karelia and away from St Petersburg, but Russian penetration of the Karelian interior is a postwar artifact. Hell, the majority of Viipuri is Russian now, but it was a purely Finnish town in 1944.

  • I think it was "multi-cultural", there was living there Finns, Russians, Karels, Swedes and gypsies...

but NOW it is almost only russians living there...

my grandmother lived there and she was a swede,, she fleed when the russians bombed it...

  • Vyborg was Finlands second biggest city you fool!!

  • exactly amigo, it WAS.)

  • Yea now all city is full of russkies shit who want that city? u cant even keep it clean hahahaha

  • If you move millions of Ukrainians into Karelia, of course there's going to be a majority of "Russian-speakers" there. If religion determines who gets what land, then why weren't the Baltic states part of Finland (as part of the states of Catholic crusaders)? Your arguments have no merit, and are a byproduct of Soviet propaganda.

  • Many of the "Russians" who moved to places like Petrozavodsk under Peter I were from the area that is now Ukraine. Now they are considered "Russians." Karelians lived and traded in Novgorod since before the arrival of the Slavs, but Finns aren't so stupid as to claim it is "Finnish land," unlike Russian claims over Karelia ... Go to Viipuri/Karelia and see that all of the old buildings are Finno-Karelian.

  • @mihanich

Karelian Isthmus and part of Ladoga Karelia BELONGED to Finland before 1939. Check your history, man... Sortavala and Vyborg were Finnish towns, in fact Vyborg was Finland's second largest town back then...
