I turn on the random encounter feature because I wish to play with others but, if I have to wait; I still have something to do. I guess that's one reason why people will turn on the feature.
the reason why uwe boll can keep making movies is because the german government actually pays him to make movies. germany wants to look artsy and support cinema, but obviously they have no idea what cinema is since they keep giving him money.
After watching this and picking up super street fighter 3d I can safely say that this is a good review. Your only problem storm is that this isn't really your kind of game.
Most of my viewers don't watch my stuff to research games before buying. They watch to see if I have the same opinion of a game and yell at me if it is different.

If you want to play a frustrating fighting game you should download Rumble Fighter and try playing that with someone who lags and has a DSL connection :B

If you go to the trial mode and try to clear some of the challenges. You WILL become a better player. Regular matches against someone who can whoop your ass is recommended too. It's designed for an arcade stick primarily as tool of choice. As for the dialogue, set it to Japanese for a authentic Street Fighter experience. The English voices are cringeworthy.

I agree so much with the special moves and the difficulty. I put it on very easy and at one point it took me over 20 minutes to beat Zangief with a couple different characters. This game is just too hard for its own good.
I dislike long combo specials move attack things in Street Fighter IV too, even the short ones from Mortal Kombat too. I just use simple attacks and somehow win against my friends...
I'm sorry, next time you're going to do a review, try actually playing the game. You complain about the moves being too hard, but they're pretty much the same moves as in SF2, so I don't see what your point is.

I don't know why you're getting downvoted, you're speaking the truth. How a quarter circle move on the D-pad is in any way challenging is beyond me - but then again I'm pretty much at just the right age where I was brought up on Street Fighter 2, which employed QCF and QCB into almost every character's move list.
I guess when you spend your formative years playing Pokémon, a quarter circle forward does seem like a bit of feat. And I guess this reviewer is too young to remember the original...
Eh brawl is a fighting game, it involves punching and kicking and super moves. Just cause you don't like it doesn't not make it a fighting game. That's like saying Quake isn't a shooter cause unreal is better.
Cancelling a focus attack buy double dashing so the games give you about 0,05 seconds to pull out Zangief's double 360 degrees ultra move is what you should be able to do 100% of the time if you don't want to explode when you play on Xbox live....or chose Ken just like 95% of the other douchebags and get pwned every single games because I block shoryukens...
That, my friend, is the magic of SF4. 95% showryuken Ken that suck, 5% korean that kick your ass so har you can actualy lick it...

I'm not a gamer. Most games interest me for about 15 minutes. But I can do a ha-do-ken. Because I'm not physically retarded.
Your response would have been approprate if I'd said "This review is shit", but I actually offered constructive criticism. I never said that I could review the game any better - though it does seem that I already have better joypad skills than this guy, simply by the evidence that he feels a QCB or QCF is somehow challenging - and as I said above, I'm not a gamer.

great job storm, I kinda have the same view as you though, im not really interested in fighting games so much, brawl and Mortal Kombat being exception...the reason i say MK is that they actually incorporated 3D and I'm more interested in adventure modes these days, but MK vs DC was a pretty big disappointment this looks like new super mario bros graphics where the character is 3d on a 2d background which isn't ok anyway good job and keep doing what you do...oh yeah...DANCE DANCE DANCE!!

Understanding the intricacies of Street Fighter really goes a long way towards appreciating it. The cool thing about Street Fighter IV is that it has a more friendly approach than Street Fighter III but it things like the new focus attack woven into gives you a deep system that you don't necessarily HAVE to exploit to win. A lot of effort have gone into balancing the game and thats why it's raking in so high scores in reviews.

I own the game (for PS3 BTW, but that doesn't matter) and I guess this thought is a tiny bit different than yours. the fact that when you say the second fight (It could've been an exhaggeration, i dunno) can get real difficult due to the CPU player spamming, i'll say this: if you get up to Seth, try to restrain yourself from throwing your controller lol.
And yes, the menu music is, to quote Zoidberg "toe-tappingly tragic"

I bought it, I love it, but I'm one of few who'll admit that it's the same game we've been playing since it's release in the 90s. Honestly don't know why you hate the graphics on this game, they're tolerable. As for the music, it grows on you I swear.

Good review, I feel exactly the same way about these games, SF series in particular. At least in Tekken and Soul Calibur, I like the visual appeal of characters and fighting animations.

I felt the same exact way when i first heard that song, i couldn't believe that was the theme throughout every screen up to battle. It takes me nearly 30 minutes of pain just to tune it out and get my ass handed to me. Im a Tekken man myself. The music video was hilarious, i was dying.
i have to agree with you on the combo and that it as hard as ball to play without knowing how to use them. you know i got so mad that i broke my Xbox controller. -_- *sigh*
Also,the figthing games i played usualy maps all the attacks to the buttons to the right and then you tilt the control stick to preform difftent vers of the same attack. Kinda like Tekken and Super Smash Bros.
And of course pressing 2 specific buttons to make a throw and depending on what side of your enemy your facing towards.

Propa Agree w/ you, SSBB is the best Fighting Game!!! SFIV is just pure awesome, but I'd prefer Brawl.
In Brawl, anyone can win, Luck and Skill all the way. Matches are longer as well, and more space to fight on!
in SF4, you have to Mash buttons to pull of combos. Gameplay is still awesome.

I know there are settings for the requests. I said "when turned on" it caused me problems. And I had it set to "same skill".

You have horrible taste bro, that song is awesome lol And no, this is not just a fighting game. Street Fighter made fighting games happen, Street Fighter 4 is bringing back the old school style and combining it with new graphics, music and characters. If you learned how to play the game, your opinion on it may change, give it another chance. :/

I can get to the last level on the hardest mode but from hardest-easy mode I HATE SETH and cant beat him HE JUST KEEPS HAX TELEPORTING its like

great job storm, I kinda have the same view as you though, im not really interested in fighting games so much, brawl and Mortal Kombat being exception...the reason i say MK is that they actually incorporated 3D and I'm more interested in adventure modes these days, but MK vs DC was a pretty big disappointment this looks like new super mario bros graphics where the character is 3d on a 2d background which isn't ok anyway good job and keep doing what you do...oh yeah...DANCE DANCE DANCE!!

Haha sweet music video! Yeah the intro song is quite over the top.
Understanding the intricacies of Street Fighter really goes a long way towards appreciating it. The cool thing about Street Fighter IV is that it has a more friendly approach than Street Fighter III but it things like the new focus attack woven into gives you a deep system that you don't necessarily HAVE to exploit to win. A lot of effort have gone into balancing the game and thats why it's raking in so high scores in reviews.

I own the game (for PS3 BTW, but that doesn't matter) and I guess this thought is a tiny bit different than yours. the fact that when you say the second fight (It could've been an exhaggeration, i dunno) can get real difficult due to the CPU player spamming, i'll say this: if you get up to Seth, try to restrain yourself from throwing your controller lol.
And yes, the menu music is, to quote Zoidberg "toe-tappingly tragic"

Oh, also, I saw the Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li movie. It's not good. At all. Not even in a "so bad it's good" type of bad.

I bet you got a lot of hate mail for this review, bring up the points no real Street Fighter fan will admit. That's like telling a hardcore FPS fan that all FPSes are the same. I bought it, I love it, but I'm one of few who'll admit that it's the same game we've been playing since it's release in the 90s. Honestly don't know why you hate the graphics on this game, they're tolerable. As for the music, it grows on you I swear.

Good review, I feel exactly the same way about these games, SF series in particular. At least in Tekken and Soul Calibur, I like the visual appeal of characters and fighting animations.
Also, overly complicated combos SUCK. That's right. SUCK (with capital letters).

I felt the same exact way when i first heard that song, i couldn't believe that was the theme throughout every screen up to battle. It takes me nearly 30 minutes of pain just to tune it out and get my ass handed to me. Im a Tekken man myself. The music video was hilarious, i was dying.

i have to agree with you on the combo and that it as hard as ball to play without knowing how to use them. you know i got so mad that i broke my Xbox controller. -_- *sigh*

Also,the figthing games i played usualy maps all the attacks to the buttons to the right and then you tilt the control stick to preform difftent vers of the same attack. Kinda like Tekken and Super Smash Bros.
And of course pressing 2 specific buttons to make a throw and depending on what side of your enemy your facing towards.
Now that's a figther for me! xD
I mean Tekken, DoA and Soul Calibur does that.
