When the Brtitish left India, the rule at that time was that the principalities can retain their sovereignty and need not join India if they choose to..hence Hyderabad ..which was under Nizam's Rule had the right not to join india...but when It started inclining towards Pakistan..for national security ..The iron man Sardar Vallbhai Patel annexed it to Indian Union...so The fellow telugus in Madras state had no right at that time to ask the Indian government to defeat Nizam..

The comittee will be extended for another 10years or so to study deeply into the issue. If they recommand small states are good in favour of split , another committee would be appointed to study how small it should be. Then it will be implimented not only to AP but to whole country.

No question of encouraging the TRS. Our family has historic affiliations with the TDP. The mortal fear of my family members is the merger of TRS with the INC. They have spent many sleepless nights over this issue. If that happens, TDP will be decimated.
The INC is adopting a WIN-WIN model over bifurcation. It wants to gain in both Andhra and Telangana. Its unwillingness to incur the political loss in Andhra is the source of all the chaos in AP.

I am frm hyd'bad & my parents are frm andhra so i have a taste of both cultures. i do agree there is indirect discrimination against telangana and discrimination is not unique to this case, irrrespective of andhra&telangana there is wide spread discrimination based on castes, the rich & poor, the educated & un edu. if seperate telangana is the solution for its growth then let it be but hope it will not become a case where a few rich/elite higher caste telangana people only benefit from it.
