  • I used to play this on the Amiga CD32

  • WATCH HIM!

    Nostalgity!!!

  • lol it's mexican sonic

  • @fringeelements I didn't know mexico had green ninjas with lightsabers.

  • @fringeelements no its atari sonic

  • when i get to the end in this same level (first level) and i get the 00 thing it says GAME OVER why ??

  • Can anyone remember when Zool first hit the scene? It was Commodore's answer to Sonic and their was quite a palpable battle between the two icons at the time. Commodore fans vs. Sega fans. I always thought Zool was cooler.

  • The soundtrack was class!!!! x

  • i loved this game as a kid i played this like 10 years ago XD, and have been looking for what it was called till now lol

  • wow I'm so glad i found this thanks for putting it up! good memories! I gotta show my dad this! we used to play it together

  • I love old classics like this one

  • u r weak

  • Isn't a remake of this title music used also in Lotus (II)?

  • Good call - sounds very similar to a Lotus theme!

  • That damn game is responsible for the rottening of my teeth since I was induced to consume a LOT of chupa-chups lollipops in my early twenties! Hopefully I haven't become a diabetic! Great game. I used to play this a lot with my GF by the nineties (she is now married to someone else, HA!).

  • I hated zool 2 felt ripped off when I bought it, Zool one was an ok game but nowhere near as good as sonic, all the magazines just hyped it to bits. All that stuff about amigas proof they can do great platformers, but they already prooved that with robocod, which really was ahead of the pack.

  • Zool was a great game for the time.. Zool 2 felt like a cheap clone, which was sad considering it was a sequel.

Zool didn't have a few cool things that sonic had, but it had wall climbing and a much more varied art style.

However, what really set Zool apart was it had much better music :)

Don't get me wrong though, Sonic went down in history for good reason. Sonic was amazing.

  • There is no Dana. Only Zool.

  • The song from the intro reminds some other Amiga theme, anyone knows which one?

  • The start could remind you of the game North & south?

  • @moijk I do not recognize this music in North and South...but this is such a known theme....anybody else maybe knows it?

  • It's very reminiscent of a melody from Tchaikovsky's ballet "Swan Lake"...

So, no wonder they called that world "Swan Lake".

  • Omg I used to play this when I was like 7 haha any one know where I can play this again?

  • Great Giana Sisters is a Super Mario Clone, that could be agreed on. But Zool and Sonic has just as much in common as other platform games of the time - Zool was no clone, but had the same "feel free to rush through the board" gameplay. I would however vote james pond as the best platform on the Amiga.

  • Actually, in the first Zool game when it came on the Amiga first, at the ending there was a minor detail. You can see Zool actually kicking a blue hedgehog out of the way, to show that it's a "Sonic-Beater".

  • @Meganeo5 It clearly show that I never rounded the game. Thanks for the fun detail!

  • @Meganeo5 Yeah, I remember that! Also, on the front of one of the Amiga Action magazine editions, it had a picture of Zool kicking Sonic up the backside!

  • zool was a failed sonic clone, but i still enjoyed playing it

  • Yeah in fact, in the following years, Sonic revealed himself to be a great success instead!

Aahahahah shut the fuck up, sonic geeks, Mario is running over him with his kart

  • Actually the Sonic franchise DOES bring in a lot of money and sells many games. Not on the level of Mario of course, but a hell of a lot more than Zool ever did. I miss the golden age of Sonic though ( Sonic through Sonic and Knuckles).

  • This really brings back memories!

  • The soundtrack on this game was really good. Memories flooding back, aww man, I'm fighting the tears here.

  • @plica06 lol loser

  • got jaguar was amazing...still is...still have one too lol

  • better than atari jaguar version. more colors

  • And that beast of a player was supposed to be 64 bits! lol

  • I remember this game.... I played it in amiga, we didn`t even have the speakers, so there were no sound :D Butt I wass still amazed on graphics :D Those were the days....

  • the guy from the nth dimension

  • i had this on A500, oh those great days...

  • Gremlins Musics are Great!! Zool2 was really entertaining, my first cd game!

  • Amiga could make fast plattformers but to be true i played Zool 1 on the Mega Drive and it really couldn`t compete with most other Plattformers specially not Sonic & Mario it was a decent game. I didn`t knew it had a sequel.

  • i loved this game LOL

  • far superior to the 1st zool on amiga and better than the snes version of zool too. i played this game to death when i was little! 8-) thanks for the memories!

  • i am glad you used music rather than sounds, it had a nice soundtrack. i enjoyed this game greatly, haven't seen it for over 5 years now. kudos.

  • never knew they made a zool 2.looks ok
