  • i used the lcd on my car, a 1990 jeep cherokee, i have taken an insignia portable dvd player appart and installed it in the car, instead of buying a $700+ dvd player

  • You know you can just use the yellow A/V Cable that came with the camera. Its a heck lot easier and it's a lot more organized.

  • @warrock556 I told him that just now.

  • I tested this out...You don't need a DVD player that has AUX settings.

Like I told you before, I have two DVD players and neither has the capibility to be set to AUX and it still shows perfectly fine.

  • Much easier and more functional if you tether to a laptop. If you have a Nikon, buy the Camera Control Pro 2 software (there is also a 30 day free trial). This software is AWESOME and lets you control all settings, set up menus, and fire shots from your laptop. Images are then immediately saved to the computer and opened with Nikon Viewer.

  • Must you set the DVD player to AUX? Because I have several DVD players, I have a 13.5 inch and a 5 inch and neither have settings for me to set the settings to AUX..Is this a problem?

  • Yes..you need to set the DVD player to AUX.

  • Aw man that sucks.

What about the laptop...How would I be able to connect my camera to the laptop to see the true results of my photo?

  • And by the way...Thanks for the video.

I saw the same video with David T. and it left me wondering how can I do that....But thanks for explaining.

  • @mediaonela Most portable dvd players have a switch on the side to switch to AV in.

The Dynex PDVD7(and PDVD5) series is one of the portable dvd players that has NO AV in

A better way is to use the cable that was included with the camera and attach it to a coupler.(Not sure about yours because it looks like a DSLR).

  • Will you be able to list the items needed for the DVD portable and the camera? Where could we find/buy those at? Thanks

  • I'll try to have a post on my blog soon. Continue to check it out.

  • Thanks for the mention on your video. By the way, I am now teaching lighting workshops called Small Strobes, Big Results. DT

  • Thank you!If you are ever in Los Angeles and need a P.A..let me know!

  • My portable dvd player only has "video out", is there any kind of adapter that I can find that will convert it to "video in" ?

  • To my knowledge it has to have a video in which is why i selected the Panasonic dvd player.
