I'm a medical student, and I acknowledge your willing a bravery to help others with immense satisfaction of what you guys do everyday. It is sad to see the doctor's get all the credit when a patient outlives a near-death situation experience. I work as a ambulance paramedic in Willemstad,Curacao.
awesome video!! I am currently a EMT-B and a Paramedic student... and out of all the jobs I have done in my life this is the one profession that I feel is ME... is where I am suspose to be... Loving my life ...love my job! God Bless all my fellow EMS...
i am an EMT-Basic and im looking for a job i live in Houston Texas if anyone needs a Basic message me im not sure if this is the correct place to post this
@teddybears1978 Cypress Creek EMS in the Northern Houston/Cypress/Klien/Spring area may be hiring Basics. I was just there for my Paramedic Internship and they were talking about how they need a few more...in case you're still looking...
i'm goin to emt school right now while goin to college and i wanna work part time as an emt. i owe my community a lot and this is how i'm going to serve. God Bless all those people who fight everyday.
I'm vol. EMT-B in rural WI. Soon, we're going to IV-tech, can't wait. I did get thanked once. It caught me off guard. Greatest feeling in the world, though. To have someone acknowledge that you made a difference.
People don't realize; we're not the uniform we wear, we're not the patch on our sleeve, and we're not the vehicle we drove up in. Medics are medics long before they have the right to say so, they are not made they're discovered. When tragedy strikes everybody runs; some toward and some away. Those of us that do this job are all bound by one question you ask it everytime you answer a call; "If I don't, who will?"
God Bless all EMTs. You are the unsung heros. When we leave your care you never know if we lived or died. You never get the thanks for the families. But I think of the EMTs who saved my husband's life almost daily.
This video meant alot to me! I am an EMT-B and i don't do it for the recognition, i do it cus I love helping people, but it is nice to see that someone appreciates what we do.
Thank you so much for posting this! I have so many friends who are firefighters, EMTs and Paramedics in New York and they hadly ever get the ind of recognition that they deserve!
am a EMT 1 from Alaska and i can say it is the greats thing i have done and this fall i will be come a firefighter 1. i never though i would go done this path but am vary happy i did it is a great job. to all the new bee's work hard and never lose hope the test are scary but just push in till the end you will be happy you did
@tiger99882 Stuff like this makes me think your not actually an EMT heading to firefighter, because where I'm from, you need a 2.0 GPA out of high school to be accepted to any program like that, and i had to have 80% and above on every exam or i wouldn't qualify to get my license. You spell like a fifth grader and your grammar stinks.
btw the white and orange ford mod that is ll crashed up resulted in the death of an EMT. the patient compartment remained intact but the cab crushed. look it up; the gov't. has reports on it online.
well it's about time someone payed tribute to EMS personnel for all that they do! btw, why is it that there is a memorial vid for the police and fire who died on 9/11 but not one for the medics? doesn't their sacrifices mean anything?
EMS is a great career just be careful to not let it consume you because it can! I worked as a medic for 12+ years before I had to walk away for a while for my own health and sanity. I miss it and look forward to getting back into it. To those wanting to get into it, make sure you do the best you can, treat others as you want to be treated and above all make time for yourself and your family. God bless all our EMT's and Paramedics.
I am a volunteer EMT-B on a rural small town ambulance and this video is wonderful!!! It is also nice to see the wonderful comments posted by all my fellow responders. Take care all and be the HEROS that you all are!!
This video has encourgaed me to keep moving forward on my Emergency Medical Responder class. Looking forward to be coming an EMT-B and one day become a Paramedic.
You didn't get anything what it means to be medic - we aren't heroes, we are just normal people doing their jobs
The true heroes are those, who aren't medics and are still trying their best helping victims until we are their because we have chosen to do this job - they haven't, they just do it because it just happened and they can't just stand there doing nothing - THESE are the real heroes and they deserve credit
Being an EMT myself, I think this video is the essence of what we do everyday to help save lives. Thank you for appreciating our volunteering and care :)

Thanks for reminding me to never forget where I got started, in EMS.
Your quite welcome bro. My father is a Pararescue with The US Air Force. Most of the times, I don't know where he goes, I don't know to where he gets called to, I don't really know what he is always doing, I just know that he risks his own life so other may live.
