Hey, thanks for reviewing this. I had this game when it first came out but sold in to the Gamestop in 2005 to get store credit so that I could buy the Sims 2. Kinda wish I didn't sell it b/c although I never finished it, it was a great game. Although so was Sims 2 ha ha! Anyway, thanks for the memories. :)

To be honest, this is one of my favorite LPs of yours, Jish. I like 2D platforming games and I really like to play this one. If only they'd make another good game like this without changing EVERYTHING and keep it simple. Screw the haters, this game is one of the best he's ever played.

Wario Land 3 you couldn't die. But it was REALLY ANNOYING, because instead of dying, you were sent back in some way. I know, as several others would agree, that the sound of Wario getting hurt (Uryiyy) will echo in my head forever. ;-;

This game is really fun. I remember buying it when it came out.

Be ready for a lot more of those puzzles where you destroy a box(or block), and you can't get a certain item. Also, the bosses get a lot harder.

I remember playing the mini-games in this game all the time. They're actually somewhat enjoyable. Anyway, looking forward to watching the rest of this LP. :)

You're invincible in two Wario Land games (2 and 3), but in those the issue is getting around. The first had a 2D Mario-style life system, and the Wii game has hearts while being so easy that it asks for perfect runs.

This was the first game i got for GBA. It starts off easy but then the levels get much, MUCH more complex. I'm gonna enjoy this LP and you are gonna enjoy this game.

Priceless, this game can be rewarding when you get through it. The point is to collect treasure obviously so learn and use all those moves well to get through. When you hit that switch the time limit is all you have before you lose money in trying to reach the portal. Some ways are blocked as you found out too in doing so.

I recommend Wario Land 1 and 2 after this and also the instruction booklet is a good read for this game.

Actually, you can die in the first Wario Land, and in this one too. It's the second and third Wario Lands you can't die in. (well, you can die in 3, but only in one case)

Wow yeah haven't actually played this game either. Although from I can tell it's only slightly less vague then its predecessors. In Wario Land 1 it tells absolutely nothing, nothing at all to let you know what you're suppose to do.

And also I guess Wario's soundbites are really re-used a lot since he says the same things in WarioWorld (gamecube).

I love the Wario Land Series. In #1, it has powerups, Mario style. In #2 and #3, you are invincible, but getting hit makes you drop coins (and, bosses tend to have attacks that kick you out of the arena), while in #4 you have an honest to goodness health bar.

But, yeah. You'll pick up the mechanics of this game pretty quickly, methinks.

This game really isn't percentage based, you basically collect all the purple triangle gems and... thats about as much of a "percentage" you'll get xD

Actually, there still is percentage. Every stage (besides the first and last) has a hidden CD. Then, while fighting the bosses (again, besides the first but including the last) you must beat the bosses quickly enough to get all the treasure chests to get different endings. I was so paranoid when I was little that I had to get every treasure chest so I didn't know there was multiple endings.
