  • @TriGGlety74 LOLOL! Silly reply... just what in the h*ll do you think is the difference?! I know more about music and music history than you'll ever know, asshat! Here you are calling a 90's house track a b4 the clubbing era track... again you need to read and talk to various people GLOBALLY about this scene! LEARN!

  • @dawn220 They've deleted his comment but you were probably right with what you've said anyway. You get extra kudos for 'Asshat'. I'm going to have to borrow that for future use. Cheers. Andy

  • @dawn220 Asshat!! Pure gold. That's going straight into my dictionary of deprecations. You've just reminded me why I read these comments. Thank you.

  • @TriGGlety74 The "clubbing" era started way before the nineties... LOL! For example people were dancing at Regine's (France) in the sixties...

  • Pure 90´s House for my taste... but sounds good. I am still Jack my House!.

  • Remember Morales playing this at the Ministry for 15 minutes, switching from deck to deck...Oh the memories

    Thanx for uploading,

May the 4th Be With You!!!

  • choooooon!!!!!!!

  • An all-time favourite track of mine

  • True, true! But that is where that specific category derives from! "Garage" & "UK Garage" are nomenclatures that come from music played at the Paradise Garage, which were coin phrased by people who never experienced the club itself! House was originally begat in Chicago and now is the phrase to describe 4/4 dance music generally. Btw if you want to learn more about dance music and how it has evolved and so called been reinvented you should start talking to some old heads.

  • Cool track but the Paradise Garage closed in 1987...this track was made in 1993!

  • Thanks ! Describing a record as "garage" doesnt necessarily mean it was played in the Paradise Garage ,just as a "house" record doesnt have to have been played in in the Warehouse in Chicago, although both these terms are derived from their respective clubs. Garage is just a way of describing the vocal house NY/NJ sound. Hope that helps. ( BTW don't confuse with UK Garage which is totally different sounding).

  • I agree - 'UK Garage' is a completely different sound than what I personally call 'Garage-House'! In the remit of house music, 'Garage' for me (what I call 'Garage-House') is characterised by a more (mainly Black American) vocal, but more importantly - emotive sound, a perfect example being Mass Order's 'Life Every Voice' or Sounds of Blackness. In short, it has more of an emotive 'gospel' feel. Just my opinion.

  • UK music is edgy, it has a high churn rate in genres... a consequence of the diverse influences that rave together... US is laid back.. Chicago sound, Miami has a sound, philly has a sound, NY etc

  • @ressla Thanks but I am not confused AT ALL... what you guys call "garage" music obviously is not the music played at the Paradise Garage but the name does indeed originate from that seminal club! I am very aware of the terms and have often questioned these categorizations. I apologize if I sound snippy but I am still active in the dance community and do regard myself as a "house head". Reading about early club life globally might help you to understand my comment which btw I still stand by...

  • @ressla dawn22- = douche!
