John Force DID NOT crash at Dallas you dumb fucking moron. He crashed in Ennis, Texas stupid...which is 45 miles South of Dallas. How in the Hell can it be in Dallas? You didnt do worth a shit in geography class...did you?

The safety on the funny cars in 2007 were not safe as they are now if they found what was wrong with the roll cage in Medlin's you would see Medlin with a championship and If the chassis's were checked very closely john would have got the 2007 championship. It is sad how the NHRA just thinks that the center-line blocks are ok but look at what happened to johns car in '07.

Still, I long for the days at Half Moon Bay drag strip when we would pay two bucks and watch Stone, Woods and Cook's 41 Willey's, or Gas Ronda,or the Melrose Missile (an FX '62 Plymouth 413) or fuel dragsters with the drivers sitting over the third member, unable to see over the blown, injected 392 Chrysler hemi directly in front of them (hoping the bell housing would hold when the clutch went). Simpler times, and the cars were a lot slower - but just as much fun

@554687858 i know exactly where you're coming from, i'd rather have an 6 second car that i fell in love with every time i dragged it than a 4 second bracket car. thats the reason i love Pro Mod so much, i know its only just become officially part of the nhra callander but its been the biggest class in drag racing in europe for a long long time now, 30-35 cars constantly weaving around battleing for traction, actually having to be properly driven, whilst still changing gear, its bonkers, its me!

I had just started over the road truck driving when i heard a report of this accident on the satellite audio feed of CNN. When they said John Force was involved in a terrible accident, I assumed he was dead. Thank God he wasn't.....

@pagename When you crash and have road burns, you do not "feel" broken bones. I had a broken clavicle AND a compound fracture on my left wrist, and all I felt was the road burn on my head! Face first at 155mph. Off of 2 wheels. Try it sometime

Well, it IS entertainment as long as anyone doesn't get really hurt or dead. D'uh, the whole thing is for entertainment, and though the crashes are not intended, well, the drivers know those things happen. I hope he got a warm memory of that one, and some scars to frighten his grandchildren when he's telling tales. (Yeah, utopistic ideal...)

I can only hope that he lost his conciousness or got a shock at the crash; so he wouldn't feel the pain.

I was at the race on 9-23-07 and just arrived home. At the track they played (1) video about 3 hours after the accident and did not replay it. Texas Motorplex should be ashamed by not running the replay sooner and often at the track. EVERYONE at the track was upset by the lack of information provided by the Texas Motorplex after the incident. They lost alot of future ticket sales including mine by censoring this mishap to paying customers at the track.
