  • got a 2002 cooper S .... 225,000 kms, runs like diarrhoea quick and smooth

  • The mini cooper S is a blast to drive. It might not be very fast but its extremely fun. I love rowing through the 6 speed on my 2007 cooper S.

  • the 2011 mini cooper s is the fastes car in the worls

  • Love my Cooper

Way better than my Golf's (have had several)

Will not be buying another Golf!!

  • <3

  • the mini coopers in the states look so bland when compared to Europe....they're so toned down, euuww

  • @daizmiester I am pretty sure you can get the same one in North America. Unless I was on the European site, I was able to get the same one on the Canadian MINI site.

  • and how much is this car with the package?

  • These cars are Awesome, Just got one myself

  • I have a mini cooper 2010, I have been for almost 1 year with the car and just two minor repair, one in the back trunk ( just 2 hours and free of charges and the other one with the coolant ( a minor leak, repaired in 3 days) otherwise, and excelent car, a look grabber , and with 120 horses, it runs pretty decent, handling, only the M3 compares to it of the whole BMW family.

For those guys that burn the clutch.. LEARN HOW TO DRIVE A STICK FIRST YOU RETARDS!

  • I've had a straight S since Feb., 2009, with 14K on the odometer. Not to jinx myself, but the only problems I've had are sporadic and infrequent funkiness in the connection for my i-Tunes player and a plastic hood scoop which would disfigure until Mini realized they needed to create more venting within the scoop.

Oh, and the time I stripped the antenna by zipping out of my garage too fast.

Other than that it's been a joy to drive. I truly look forward to taking on the road.

  • I have a challenge for used Mini Cooper S owners (not leasers) that have lived with their car for at least 2 years. How many repairs? How many times has the check engine light come on? How many times have the auto-tucking windows failed? What issues have you run into? How long does the average "repair" take at the dealer? A day? A week? Loaner provided? What is it like to really live with, maintain and own one of these? Outside of the fabulous go-cart like drive-ability, of course.

  • @diamonddollarday , k here is the low down, ive had this car since march 1, 2008. ive had the clutch and fly wheel repaired under warranty 3 times each, averege length of repair, 2-4 days. the passanger side seat was repaired once, because the stiching came apart. the water pump has been replaced once, 85% of the engine sensors have been replaised. Mass air flow sensor, throtel position sensor, just to name a few, the computer has had to be reporgramed 2x, the timing chain and guids done 3x

  • @08Miniman I also own an 08 and aside from the standard maintenance check ups, I've only had to fix my timing chain once and reprogrammed the system once.

  • @diamonddollarday the driver seat is falling apart and mini wont cover the repair under warranty, its about a 500$ repair. the rear stabalizer bar bushings have worn out 4x. the rear fog lights dont work after it rains, the clutch still thumps even after all the work done to it. the left licence plate light works when it wants to. the driver side front fog light flickers and has to be tapped every now and then to make it stop. the ac is so so... on a reall hot day with a passanger it struggles

  • @diamonddollarday the run flat tires last about 15k and are about 200-450$ + instalation and tax,a pop depending on brand. the factory and dealer whipers dont work right. the base sound system is garbage. so to answser your question. the cars "check engine light comes on about every 20 days. its in the shop for about a day.all dealerships are different they have the option to give you a loaner or not, mine does with a 50$ admin fee. the auto tucking windows havnt failed yet. but im sure they wil

  • @diamonddollarday the first time i did the timing belt, they had the car for 21 days, i had a loaner but it still sucked... i have an engine knock that the deal cant figure out, there is also a miss, or a fluctuation in the rpm, and the dealer cant figure that out either. sorry this post is a little all over the place im just putting down what i can remember. gas milage isnt bad 50 L of premium gass gets you about 550 km mixed driving and about 600-650 km highway.

  • @diamonddollarday so to sum it up. 1 its a very fun drive if you have another reliable car that you can drive when this one is in the shop. 2, go-cart like handling ya sure, 3, if you have the time to haul yourself to the dealer every 20 or so days get one, if not stay away. oh, ive also had the battery replaiced twice, and had the car towed 3 times due to batttery issues. 4, i would never buy another car like this.if there is anything else you would like to know message me ide love to share mor

  • @08Miniman Learn to drive.

  • @killerCharade what does learn to drive have to do with anything... how does learning to drive correct my timing chain issue, or my battery, or the wippers.... sorry but your comment just dosnt make any sence...

  • Also for the record. I drove from silver spring MD, to college park MD, to lawrencevill NJ hotel, to princeton, back to hotel, back to princeton, back to college park and back home on 1 tank of gas.

    @ 72 mph i was getting 37 - 38 mpg.

  • I have a 2010 JCW Mini in the same style. Laser Blue w/ black bonnets. It is an outstanding car. I absolutely love it and have no regrets choosing this over the BMW 135 which i was considering.

Very underrated automobile IMO. The only cavet i have with it is the tires it comes with. They need to go. But other than that, it's a great car.

  • I've watched this video a bunch of times. I loved driving a car with a manual transmission but with City driving it wouldn't be practical. My dad ended up getting his first. He bought a 2009 Mini Cooper S Automatic and purchased the John Cooper Works tuning kit. I uploaded a short clip of the car and I'm trying to get him to LACR so we can get a better idea of the performance. Thanks for the JCW's review.

  • just beat one the other day with a 08 civic si

  • @axsb he wasnt trying....lol type in jeep srt8 vs civic si and see who wins bitch. I know this was random but a cvici si isnt all that. BTW, my brother has a jeep srt8

  • @axsb no you didn't... civics are shit

  • they always look nice new. wait till you start driving down the freeway, and the engine dies, or you go for lunch and the battery is dead, or for no reason at all the transmition starts making a thumping noise, oh and how could i forget the rear link kits that ive changed 5times now... but nothing tops going to the dealer and hearing these fine words " well we where not able to replicate the error" are you fuc king kidding me. or, come back next month there will be a recall for that part

  • @08Miniman Nice to hear some real truth about owning a Mini.

  • I have a 2009 JCW loaded with everything. Astro black with black Union Jack on sunroofs. The car is amazing. 60 grand with tax canadian.

  • they are 40k the john cooper works edition way over priced

  • I`m watching this because i just watched THE ITALIAN JOB and i fall in love in the car.

  • @Riste1986 once you love the mini, you can't stop it. that's called "the Mini Virus" ^_^

  • @Riste1986 omg omg omg same here haha

  • They are worth every penny. I have a 2005 MINI Cooper S, and it is the best car I've ever owned.

  • yeah my mom has one of those exact same year and model

very fun car...... though we are all tall poeple so we can only use 3 seats

  • @emantabrizi

Right there with ya. I've been motoring my 2004 for a year now :)

  • @emantabrizi what would you say to some one that says it small and not safe?

  • @ButRachaelsays21 ... I would say go buy an SUV.

  • @emantabrizi no haha im getting a mini but my aunt keeps saying its to small

  • @ButRachaelsays21 ... I received similar comments from my relatives. One of my grandmothers refused to go for a ride in my MINI. She said she likes her cars to be "bigger than coffins." Whatever...I pity those who think it's too dangerous. They'll never know the pleasure of driving a MINI.

  • @emantabrizi I second that. I love mine. I was tempted to upgrade to a TT or Golf but naaaaaah. They are fast but boring to drive. Instead Im thinking of taking my 2003 model to Lohen for tuning :o)

  • @DubbzHD ... I have not driven the new Audi TT. So, I can't comment on the "boring to drive" part. It is a beautiful car with an equally beautiful interior, but, as far as customization from the factory goes, the TT doesn't even come close to the MINI. I have driven the GTI, however, and it's a very nice, luxurious hatchback, but still not as much fun to drive as the MINI.

  • @emantabrizi Well the GTI and TT are not boring to drive as such, They are good cars but just not as fun as the Cooper S. And the R56 Cooper S is not as fun as the R53 Cooper S. Everytime i drive the mini......from the overrun in the exhaust, the whine of the super charger, the go kart handling......it just makes me smile everyday :o)

  • no they are like $30,000 alittle overpriced but still a riot to drive

  • are they like $25,000

  • I WANT ONE!!
