  • You're dumb

  • Tá morto amigo !

  • what piping size do you have? any cat or glasspack? (resonator).. sound nice man

  • WOW THATS THE N1 IM GETTING IT

  • I got da same exhaust nice sound

  • listen to my d16 custom made from philipines top that sound

    my civic hatch white

  • @phatyj sounds good and bet it was a hell of a lot cheaper than mine.

  • @phatyj actually i think this one sounds better

  • a nice sounding honda, wow.

  • Clean civic nice build

  • @Cmoneykr thanks

  • that sounds sweeeeeeeet....... buns.

  • What a nice way to disturb the peace of nature.. or better yet.. it sounds better than nature... oh yeah!!!

  • Honda and Spoon... Nice :)

  • THE VIDEO ON THE RIGHT THAT SAYS HONDA CIVIC PERFECT SOUND SHOULD GET SUED CUS THIS RIGHT HERE IS THE PERFECT SOUND!!!! WHO AGREES WIT ME??

  • hey men ! cameraaaa !!!!!

  • In today's life it's no longer VTEC.

    It's VTAKKKK!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice. someone that actually rev matches instead of just dropping gears.

  • i love how the sound of vtec crack is with your setup im make a vid of my b16a and see how its sounds haha

  • i like how there's the sound of nature in between the sounds of honda.

  • Hei, dont stole the camer :|

  • I get so sick of people bashing honda ... its not the sheer power that makes us fast its our weight displacement gimme an ls1 i bet ill eat him for lunch

  • how much did the entire build cost approx? if you dont mind,

  • @DirtyGhettoKush it's hard to say because i never kept up with it. i also spent alot of money on things i shouldn't have, like nearly 1K for this exhaust setup :/ If you really took your time and sourced the parts used and at good prices, a car like this should cost around $5,000 to build.... unfortunately, i have WAY more than that in this pos....

  • @DirtyGhettoKush fuck man i use to have a b16a2 swapped cx eg hatch and i regret selling it yo....

  • that shit sounds sick!!!! IS it just the catback exhaust or the whole exhaust piping as well?

  • @amafreak2142 It's a whole exhaust: header, test pipe, b-pipe, then the Spoon N1. The complete detailed setup is in the description. thanks :)

  • is a spoon exhaust considered rice if your not racing on tracks?

  • @sharpienoob the term "rice" is used more than a 40 year old hooker with much less satisfaction.

on a more serious note, Spoon exhausts are just about the most expensive out there and technically not considered "rice" to all the JDM heads out there. On the flip side, some people think ALL modded imports are rice. Ricers order parts from ebay then brag about their cars.

These exhausts aren't usually called rice but if your worried about someone calling you one, you should not mod a Honda :-P

  • @sharpienoob fuck haters :)

  • @civicEJ11 well said :)

  • Nah, no time wasted. You seem to know how to mod cars, Gratz.

  • @UnderTheHoodTuner thanks :)

  • that sound pretty sick..think BOUT GETTIN IT!!

  • besser gehts garnicht !

    Spoon halt ^^

  • Hector runs 3 of these, WITH spoon engines.

  • @tec41 o k3wl

  • @tec41 you mean that mexican guy from "The fast and the furious"?

  • @newlyfoundrenegade

Yeah, I'll be seeing him at Race Wars.

  • @tec41

and dont forget t66 turbos with nos and a MoTec system exhaust :)

  • @tec41

    hahaha

  • @tec41 lol and yeah dont forget what napalm saidd, hahaha :D

  • @tec41 lmao! funniest comment i have read in a while.

  • @tec41 and a motec system exhaust!

  • @tec41 stuck in bed off work with the cold, that made my day :) I thank you

  • @fairygodbrother

    Haha I'm glad, feel better!

  • @tec41 Haha that movie has so many unforgettable lines! "It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile, winning is winning"....classic

  • @tec41 yeah i know Hector likes them XD

  • @tec41 and a MoTec system exhaust!

  • @tec41 Yeah and Jonny Tran had an S2000 with a spoon engine that car made a brilliant noise!

  • @tec41 correction he was running "THREE SPOON ENGINES AND A MOTEC SYSTEM EXHAUST" lmao

  • Hey, very clean car. Respectable and gives honor to the honda racing heritage. I'd like to see this car in some TT action!

  • @ksek09 Thanks alot! I will defiantly get some footage the next time I hit the track with it. Right now I'm trying to source some sponsorship because $350 entry fee to an event is pretty steep! I had a couple back in 07 but since the economy fell its gotten pretty tough. I should def make some scca solo events though without any probs :)

  • sick shit bro that sounds amazing

  • @Jacquesabdul thanks :)

  • yeah bro nice camera too

  • @SiCivicJJ5595 thanks. it does ok but I am thinking on getting another. this is just a video function from my canon digital camera lol. it is better quality usually but wmm makes the output quality crap. I have sony vegas 8 now so it should be a ton better for future videos.

  • this is a sick vid

  • @SiCivicJJ5595 Thanks :)

  • que sete olvido la camara jajaja

  • That **** is hot! I wonder how it will sound on my 350z?

  • sweet! great sound after vtec kick-in.

  • nice sound``!!!! very agressive!!!

  • 5* man...reminds me my eg6...check it out on my videos....

  • sounds really good man!

  • What is it that makes some B series Hondas sound so raspy? I have a spoon N1 axleback on my DC2(check my vid) and it does not sound raspy like this at all.

Do you get the rasp when you use a de-cat?

  • Yes the rasp comes from removing the cat and running a test pipe. When I put the cat back in, it smoothens up. If you want to hear super raspy then check out the buddy club spec II exhausts. Friend of mine had one on an ITR and it was unbearable loud lol.

Nice Type R, great sound. Rated it 5stars :)

  • real sleeper man, 5/5!

  • @shaggyz6 what year is your civic?

  • @45Mang its a 93

  • @shaggyz6 do the n1's fit on the 89 ef?

  • @45Mang the ef exhausts come out of the other side of the car from mine and spoon does not make an n1 kit for it. you can have a muffler shop adapt one for you but will most likely have to be angled out the back to fit. a cheaper option instead of cutting on a real spoon is to get the replica muffler from jdmshit . com. they look almost identical and sound pretty much the same. It is just a universal weld on style that looks like the spoon but no need to go hacking away at a $400 axleback ;)

  • @shaggyz6 oh, so does it sound like that with a 1.5 stock with a replica?

  • @45Mang it's hard to say. the only 1.5s that i have heard are the people that run straight pipes to a ebay can. if you leave the stock cat (or atleast get a resonated test pipe) and use a good glass pack for another resonator (like a 12") with 2.25" piping and the replica, it may sound pretty close. it may not sound quite the same in the higher rpms unless you have vtec.

  • i think it sounds about perfect. my shit sounds like a ka24de lol

  • Sweet

  • like a furry, screaming samurai :D

  • sounds soo gnarly :D

  • thats a badass hatch you got there bro got a lot invested in it i like what you've done with it

  • thanks :)

  • i luv that raspy sound, it perferates ur eardrums and sounds so sexy :) when i get my hands on one, i want it to sound like that

  • @JoKeRs180sX thanks. the raspyness makes me cringe a little honestly but it isnt too bad i suppose. im not sure what it sounds like now because of the new header design. i will have to make a new vid i guess ;)

  • oh yh i sounds absolutely gorgeous, i think thats how they should sound, so that people know ur there and you have to let the vtec shout :) pls do make a new vid. its a gorgeous car tho. 10/10 for the car :)

  • @shaggyz6 Sow ait still don't understand lmao.. its not u its me. So Your Exhaust what did you do?

  • i went to another exhaust header design and it has changed the sound some so now i have to make a new video :)

  • @shaggyz6 Tell, us. Now.. Go outside right now. .and make it.:P Am tryign to pick what exhaust I should buy.. So hard. . And this sounds makes me wet down there when i hear it. Btw i got 1999 ek right now with b16a2.. Untill i get my fuking b18c5. CHEERS

  • sweet car bro, love it !!!

  • @TheMugenboy Thanks, it's been a long time money pit haha!

  • do you have link where you buyed it?...

are there combo packs where you get

test pipe, midpipe, and axle back?

  • @kapetanajvar there are no combo packs like mine available. you just have to piece them together yourself.

  • hey.. bro thats 4-1???? headers?? or 4-2-1?

  • @maghari6667 in this video it was a 4-2-1 header.

  • You can hear it hit v-tec

  • Thats how i want my EF to sound like that with a b16a....about how much was......

    Fake Spoon test pipe

    DNX midpipe

    Spoon Sports N1 axle back......

??? i was planning to do this in about a few weeks....

  • For the test pipe, midpipe, and axle back it costs around $630 including the $30 gasket for the rear section from honda. the prices can vary for the spoon n1 and the test pipe since i got mine used.

  • Damn thats one of the best sounding civics ive heard, even better than my own, now you got me wanting to change my exhaust

  • thanks :)

  • Hey friend, thanks for the answer. I just bought a replica of spoon n1. It's not the same thing but it's cool. U can check my video. Adeus!!

  • your welcome and seen your video, sounds pretty good :)

  • alrite man.sweet car.just wonderin do u have any idea wat a axle back n1 wit stock pipe, decat and stock header wud b like?im looking 4 ideas.keep da videos cummin

  • it might be kinda raspy since you are getting rid of the cat. mine is gone and has a resonated test pipe + a resonator in the catback and it is still kinda raspy at times.

  • thanks

  • hey bro itz me again i got another question ,, does the replica sound as nice as the authentic spoon n1??

  • they sound pretty much the same from what i've heard.

  • it would've been fun if someone stole ur camera while u went around Lol!!

  • LoL ya. luckily i live in a small town where very one is cool and dont steal ish.

  • hey do u know where i can get just the spoon n1 muffler?? i have all the piping and i really like the sound of the spoon n1 its sweet!

  • you cant just get the muffler by itself. the authentic n1 comes as an axle back assembly. if your wanting just the muffler itself your going to have to get a replica that's about $120.

if you really want an authentic spoon then my best advice is to search some honda forums to find a good used one because new they are ~$450+shipping for just the axle back new.

  • very nice hath what kind of motor swap are you doing on it

  • thanks. its probably going to be a B18 block and just build everything up from there. friend of mine has a k20 and those are really tempting but i really dont want to drop 6K into a motor swap lol!

  • nice i love the way the k20 sits in the engine i have a jdm h22a in mine but i dont know if i like the tranny

  • you could do whats called a h2b kit and run any b series tranny you wanted but its pretty dang expensive.

  • thanks and clean civic, its kinda hard to see in the garage though.

and no i wasn't joking about it being slow. this is horrible compared to the caliber of cars that i usually build for people. it was just built to run in street prepared for SCCA and this is the only twin cam engine i could go with.

  • can spoons fit on the new honda civics?

  • they can but you have to modify them

    /watch?v=gepUmYHf4Mk

  • how were you downshifting? im a newb sorry

  • its a technique used in circuit racing known as heel-toe downshifts. the object is to match the revs of the engine to the gear you are about to go into while braking at the same time to make the process as smooth as possible. you can see it here \/

    watch?v=IuoZeuSgEj4

i do it all the time just out of habit while i'm in this car.

    thanks for commenting :)

  • lol o ok, i was wondering becase it doesnt sound like that when i downshift normally

  • transmission??

  • GSR with LSD

  • so n1 is better for over all power response?

or just when that vtec kicks in?

  • in original exhaust form, it was better overall. the axle back reduces down to fit your factory b-pipe.

there are 2 ways you can do it. bolt it to a factory (yours or an ITR) b-pipe or factory replacement pipe (T1R or DNX)

i used the dnx but didnt like the reduction so i modified it to where the exhaust is 60mm throughout instead of the reduction at the axleback. its alot of money to go cutting on.

    Spoon n1 used + new dnx = $585 complete

    BC2 new = $357 complete

  • is there anyway to get an N1 quieter than that? .....like stock quiet? lol

  • yes you can make it much quieter than mine but it will never be as stock as quiet lol.

you can use stock header, b-pipe, spoon n1, and add the silencer; then its pretty quiet sounding.

since i changed my header its even louder now :P

  • So by louder you mean extrea fartier?

  • theres only so many ways you can make a honda sound. and its "extra" btw

  • Yeah I know how extra is spelled, the one I used was the original latin spelling.

The test pipes is what makes a honda sound like that

  • ya this test pipe is resonated so its not as bad as some. but idk i still dont like it. i'm just tired of putting money into the damn thing honestly.

  • Considering how bad the economy is right now is the best time to buy a car. Shit I saw an SRT-4 for under 10G's the other day. Z's are going for 15-ish. Turbo MR2's cheap too....

  • yep. i've got enough toy cars lol im going for a nice car like a lexus, mercedes, or bmw next.

  • id street race that if i was you

  • nah, most street races are drag races and this car is just too slow for that. i hate using a fwd car for drag anyway.

this car is built for roadracing and some autox which is a little more fun to me anyway. i have another car for the strip.

    thanks for posting :)

  • spoon n1 or Buddy club spec 2?

    whats the best for power?

    B18... ?

i know the spec 2 is ridic loud, but... meh

  • BCspec2 is good for top end power but low end is sacrificed. its best for roadracing where your using the high rpms more. its for race application so you might get alot of tickets on the street & you will be on the verge of being thrown out of tracks with a strict DB limit.

my n1 had a reduction so i took it out and now its comparable to the spec2 but not as loud.

the BCspec2 is much cheaper than the n1 but get ready 4 many noise complaints. friend had 1 on a ITR and they hated him at autox

  • who needs friends when you got a BC :) :D

  • lol! exactly ;)

  • i want one like this ! unbelievable

  • thanks. sounds slightly different now but i like it better :) new vid should be up soon, thanks for commenting

  • im jealous now...

  • Thanks. Nice videos!!

  • Nice civic. How much did you paid for the spoon n1 ?

I'm from Portugal, and i want one too. :/

  • Thanks! Tudo bem?

I got mine from a friend and was able to get a bargain for it. They are pretty expensive to import to the US at $549USD + shipping just for the axle back.

It would be best if you could find one already in your country. Try searching for a honda forum where you live and you may be able to pick up a used one.

    Hope that helps :)

  • im soo jdm i sleep at the right side of my bed lol

  • lol a friend of mine has a sticker business and he makes one that says that.

  • mugen front lip

  • correct ;)

  • damn great song

  • thanks :)

  • That is deff the exhausts to buy then! Sounds as fat as the japs spoon eggs!

  • Thanks, I appreciate it :)

  • No worries! Wud u say its a pretty quick car and worth me buying one? Is there much difference with the import sir and the uk vti? I like how you cane it in the first run then just a normal drive back... hear the exhaust note both ways then :) sounds fat!

  • It's not my definition of quick but it's decent. Unless you were going to run a class that restricted you to the factory engine then I wouldn't go with the B16. The JDM B16B has more rev-ability but that only is an advantage to an extent. The B16 will never match the larger B18, B20, K20 & etc. the torque is simply not there.

If you want a civic I would save money and get a base model, swap in a bigger engine and redo the suspension. From my search, the VTi and SiR are almost the same.

  • Nice one, cheers for the advice. My mate also has a VTI, says he doesnt like it, is sticking his only Teggy VTEC 1800 in it and hopes to turbo it. He says the handleing is shit too,is that why u said to uprate the suspension?

  • niiiice

  • thanks!

  • lubb it!

  • thank you :)

  • nice nice nice!!!

But what about smoke at 0:12???

  • thanks :) the small blue haze of smoke for a second at 11-12sec is from #1 spark plug valvecover gasket leaking down into the tube :/ seeps around the threads and into the combustion chamber. the rest is from the car sitting up for a few months and the tune I have on it. I should have made a couple more passes before the video to clear it out some but ohwell lol! new engine build coming soon anyway :)

  • to see a good civic never loses time ...

  • thanks!

  • oh nothing beats the race inpired exhaust... everytime i hear them i remember BM at it's best lol

  • ya the BM movies are great. got another header on it now and it changed the sound a good bit. should video it in a week or so.

  • i like it

  • thanks :)

  • Man!!, got to love the B16A's sound @ high rev when the vtec kicks in!!

    lovely, lovely, pure sweet sound!

  • thanks!

  • so beautiful!

  • thanks :)

  • dam kid, its about time, ive been waitin for a minute, nice launch! more vids man

  • lol ya i havent posted anything on this car for ages. this is an old video i just never uploaded it. i actually cut half of the video out because i just smoked the tires on the first one (if you look you can see the marks in the vid). thanks for the comment and promise ill get to work on making more vids :D

  • nice

  • thanks for the compliment!
