Unfortunately to make these pigs fail, would have consequences to people that actually put in a hard days work to fail aswell. Something wrong there. The fallout from punishing the few at the top that golf on their lunch breaks, will mean pink slips to the people actually doing the work.
Bernanke, Geithner, Rubens, Summers, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan & the Federal Reserve Bank know exactly what they are doing by collapsing the US Dollar:
The purpose of this financial crisis is to take down the U.S. dollar as the stable datum of planetary finance and, in the midst of the resulting confusion, put in its place a Global Monetary Authority [GMA - run directly by international bankers freed of any government control] -a planetary financial control organization" - Bruce Wiseman
Yeah, too bad corporations are in bed with the politicians that are supposed to regulate their activities. White collar criminals laugh in our faces and how they flaunt our justice system because they have paid off our politicians through lobbying and political donations. The whole system is corrupt.
I disagree, because the banks fail, they go into bankruptcy but people are still obliged to repay their debt because they're debt is bought out by another bank in the bankruptcy proceedings. When crap really hits the fan is if the Federal Reserve (which is privately owned by the big banks) raises interest rates there will be more debt slaves.
You're right, but you're wrong. The fed won't raise interest rates until they have to because they are controlled by the big banks, However, the banks and fiscal policy are at odds with each other, When the dollar is dropped as the reserve currency, their game is over and Americans will pay the price. But will they be smart enough to know who sold them out?
Just as USSR collapsed 20 years ago, America will collapse. Let's thank Clinton, Bush and Obama. Carter never looked so good,
No, Reagan turned around the US economy. All the problems started in Clinton's second term. You may want to say that he was following Reaganesque policies and that's why we are in trouble, but the economy got out of whack in Clinton's bubble term.
Except...Clinton ran a surpluson the federal budget when he left office. Nice try, but right wing crony capitlaism isn't looking much better nowadays.
Except you are wrong. Clinton never had a surplus. The surplus came frrom stealing social security funds. Moreover, the internet bubble produced windfalll capital gain taxes that vanished when the bubble burst. Clinton's boys: Rubin, Summers and Greenspan, were largely responsible for the bubble.
Everything that is wrong with the US economy today started with Clinton. Both Bush and Obama made matters worse.
@666sigma Hey Im not a massive CLinto fan either, all Im saying is Bush is the one who broke the donkeys back letting his wall street freinds runwild, funding dopey wars for oil companies and war profiteerers and then still managing to give a tax break to the top 1% of the population. Just sayin
It was Rubin, Summers and Greenspan under Clinton. Rubin (ex-Goldman) and Summers were the ones that walled off the derivatives market with Greenspan's support. Goldman's tentacles, as well as all of Wall Street, are into the Democratic Party. The same is true of trial lawyers. The Repubs cater to the Corporate Entitlement Class, but the Dems are not the party of Main Street.
European & American state aid is interlocked into the International Bank of Settlements, which is tied to World Bank, which is tied into the IMF, which is like all things: Tied into Goldman Sachs!
AIG is run by Edley of Goldman Sachs!
All roads lead to: Goldman Sachs!
Why don't sheeple want to be independent of Goldman Sachs & JP Morgan?
Instead their lives are dictated to by a bunch of arbitrage wielding sycophants & sociopathic criminals who profit by destroying the system!
Currently, the world is forming ad-hoc currency baskets for trade in order to get away from the contamination, which is the US dollar, (google: Shanghai Organizational Coop); & setting up for a new World Order Currency
Meanwhile, the USA has Stockholm Syndrome, where the terrorized population through Obama actually supports their terrorist: Last week Obama is actually giving more power to their captors, the Federal Reserve Bank, rather than prosecuting them
Given that a live interview does not give adequate time for a debate. However, this young buck reporter did not follow the conclusions, and he did not grasp the big picture from the wisdom spoken by the two experts.
They are doing exactly this at the Switzerland Banks UBS and Credit Suisse.
Those bankers are getting these "toxic" assets (specifically subprime mortgages) as bonuses and are doing a good job making them more profitable or at least trying to.
I see that people are still in for a big surprise when they finally realize what's happening. That will take until the end of 09, 1q 2010. What a big surprise it will be, nothing will be the same.
One of the best explanations why the bailout was wrong and harmful to this country. Also why this Administration is wrong and harmful. There is no racist motive here either just a simple concern that our country is being dismantled and modified to suit a global directive. That makes it no longer America.
exactly! All European Countries are also being and have been dismantled to match Global EU directives!
Its called Global Corporatocracy, and the hedge-funds of tomorrow are pushing the buttons. Forget Politicians and Govts they are all working indirectly for a kind of global casino system that they want to control. Most Humans are merely a value of abundant energy wasters & slaves in their future calculation of power management and indirect planetary control
it will only get worse - the bankers now know FOR SURE that they can risk all they want, all they have to do if they lose is call the FED and fill their accounts again.
IF you want to do your 'bit' to end the corruption & greed then take your 'POWER' back & buy yourself a 'renewable' energy array.
A solar PV array on your roof & wired into the grid makes ALL the cost of the array back in 'savings' on Bills. It pays for itself in 5-7 years by 'saving' you money every month! That's a 14%-20% return every year! After that its FREE energy! What Bank gives THAT interest rate?
If you add a solar water heater you need less electric & it all pays off even quicker!!
really? well its big of you not to mark it as spam then!
And so how do you think the Banksters have managed to wangle it so they have all the power and all the money?? The whole ball of wax goes back to ENERGY! People may not know that are in a position to take back their power... I was just pointing out HOW they can do so.
whats wrong with that? And how's it "off topic" when its the mainstay of the corporate power over people & the root of the problem we ALL face.
What PV Solar pays for itself in 5 years??? Is this a new tech? The stuff I've seen is $30,000 for less power gen than it takes to run a small home. The ROI looks more like 13 to 20 years, which is terrible considering the lifespan of the PV I'm familiar with is about 25 years, but maybe there is something new?
"In the UK it takes 7 years to pay for itself (5 with a water heater) & it cost £7000 for a top of the range array all fitted & wired to the grid."
That's absurd. In order for PV to pay itself back in the UK in 7 years you need to be paying about $1 per kWh. And that's with a rather generous assumption of a 10% capacity factor, which is probably far too high for britain.
What are you going to balance it with? North sea gas is going to decline pretty fast; you're going to import from Russia?
well power went UP 30% last year & I live in an all electric place & with electric storage heaters. It costs me £1000+ a year for PC lights utilities, heat, cook & make hot water. A £7000 array of a mix of solar PV & a solar water heater would produce enough to cover my needs. Most of the electricity I need is for hot water. If I had an integrated system of solar water heater linked by radiators & my hot water tank & a solar PV array producing electricity, then a £7000 array would cover it.
It all depends on how much you need in the first place.
If you have good insulation, you don't need so much to heat your place. If you have low-energy 'goods' then you use less. If you get your hot water from the sun you can save HUGE amounts of electric or gas (just 'warming' water cuts a huge slice of the cost of heating it up to hot)
I've seen vertical wind generators on YT that are MUCH more efficient & aren't an eyesore or dangerous. They're called Tesnic. Look em up.
as for gas there's something called Anaerobic Digestion & if we collect all the bio-waste from our rubbish & put it in an anaerobic digester we get usable GAS & usable compost. It has been estimated that Britain could generate up to 50% of its gas needs by this method alone if there was the infrastructure in place for it! Its also the best way to prevent Methane from rotting rubbish leeching into the atmosphere.
Methane is 20X more of a greenhouse gas than CO2 & this is REAL energy from waste!
Yep, definately bullshit. One of their reporters was done for fraud ffs! Advertising his own stocks and such forth. This is obscene, I'm surprised the reporters didn't try to talk them out of their arguments (like the news do ever so often). I don't trust news anymore. Not ever.

In the UK it takes 7 years to pay for itself (5 with a water heater) & it cost £7000 for a top of the range array all fitted & wired to the grid.
It doesn't NEED to "run" your home it just needs to produce energy which feeds into the grid.
You have a 2 way meter & the money you SAVE on electric bills is how you get your money BACK!
even 13-20 years is 5% to 7.5% What Bank is paying that sort of interest now?
