  • i want one... where can i get one

  • @adam3176

under the hood of a mazda rx8

  • @MySupernegro nah i got an Rx7, i have a real one. i want a fake plastic one

  • I want one of these moving displays man. I could watch a rotary all day.

  • well done

  • rota's cant run if the motors turning backwards ><

  • Great video,

Short video demonstrating how it works, check it out if you'd like:

    watch?v=umxGxsN5vQM

  • how many teeth do the inner and outer gear have??

  • @SuperK0rn

    34/51

  • APEX SEALS!!!!!! RAGE!!!!!

  • why the top of the rotor is so far away from the case? does it gets closer when it turns due to centrifugal force? (I dont mean the rotor itself but the 3 little things at the edges).

  • giggity

  • Good we have today several projects to get different Rotary Engines which could reduce the excessive pollution on the air. I recommend you to see wwwyontoinnovaciones.blogspot.com and Inventos Mexicanos de yonto. All mechanisms there were made to reduce fricction, The Yonto Pump which is the base of The Best Rotary Engine does not need any ring or seal to work. It is self-sealed. If you study how their pieces contact each other, you will understand the lower fricction. Regards.

  • how the fuck do you draw the case for it??

  • So that's how the Wankel rotary spins.

  • It is really quiet a simple theory how it works compared to a DOHC 16V four pot.

  • @GalmTeamLeader

    german concept

    japanese engineering

  • rotaries are good because of how few moving parts there are, but the problem with them is you can get bad seals from carbon buildup if you only drive it for short trips

  • Comment removed

  • well if you viewed it from the other side it would be spining the right direction

  • i wanna get one of theis cars just to try to blow up the engin......

  • Have fun trying, it'll take a while and quite a bit of effort.

  • yea they may have problems but blowing up a engine isn't as easy as u may think

  • Nice vid, thanks, helps me with a question I had about eccentric shaft offset and rotor timing. Great!

  • they'd probably tell you to go fuck yourself

  • my mate had a crazy 12a it reved to like 11 grand in 2nd never blew up ever, the only thing that was shit was the noisy ass fuel pump behind the seats lol

  • anything can be dont...especially the rotary engine is small...i think its possible

  • isnt the stock redline for a 12a like 7k... im not sure about the 13b, but i doubt either is anywheres near capile of hitting 10.5k...

unless it was modified like hell, in that case SWEET!, well while it lasted

  • Your right 7k was the redline for the RX7.

By the way, no stock rotary will do over 10k.

  • yes they will cchange the ecu for a standalone unit and get it maped so that it cat rev to 12,500rpm stock engine just new ecu ;)

  • a stock engine will blow up before reaching 12.5k under load

  • Nopiw, by "blow up" do you mean it might throw a connecting rod? perhaps spin a rod bearing?? maybe the valves might float? lol STFU, you know nothing about rotaries, stop talking like you do and spreading your bullshit.

  • whatever

  • i have heard that a factory team got a rotary (prob specialy made) to reach over 100000rpm, so yeah i am with you, they seldom blow up.

  • 100k RPMs is utterly impossible. Physics won't allow it....Now, 10k RPM's is easy as cake.

  • no loading, probably smaller in size, also is what i have heard, so yes not necessarily true. Rotaries are still amazing engines capable of huge rpms. this being said, i still believe it, when you think of how high a standard rotary can rev and then how much higher an expensive, purpose built fully billet CNC milled motor could rev the difference would be huge.

  • correct me if i'm wrong.. but i think Mazda is the only one making rotary engine.

  • i got a question im about to buy a mazda rx-8 how much of a diff u think it take to fix a motor like that if something were to go wrong ?

  • Completely different... Most regular mechanics won't service rotarys. For service, either learn a lot about them and do it yourself, or stay friends with your Mazda dealer. 2 of my best friends have RX8s, and they both take them to the local mazda dealer.

  • Ya once you get to know about rotarys youll find there actually really simple.

  • @driftability More simple then Inline engines imo.

  • were did you get this model from.

  • Rey0176, it's called a "Wankel Engine"

  • its not german asshole its jap.

  • It is manufactured by Mazda, but the original Idea was thought up by a German with the last name Wankel

  • @logume1881 filix wankel

  • @logume1881 filix wankel.

  • @logume1881 so?

  • Comment removed

  • @logume1881

Dr.h.c Felix Wankel, and the original idea comes from Franz Reuleaux

  • you big dummy, now shove your foot into your mouth, and open up a history book. ITS GERMAN his name was Felix Wankel in the early 1950's. :-)

  • well, thats kinda like saying every 4-stroke engine is German because it uses the Otto-cycle. rey has a point, this particular "wankel" engine is a Japanese Mazda

  • Don't forget Porsche. They make BMW and Audi look like toy cars

  • nice 1 bro

  • i want it!

  • Informative!
