well they wont know the actual people. they wont have names. could be anybody around the world, they only knew geo hotz because he wasnt hiding from sony, he did nothing illegal. but yet they took away all his equipment to see what was on his pc. sony beleived they could go to war with hackers all around the world and win. anybody with some sense knows that thats impossible.
instead they attack and accuse people of piracy without proof. people where making custom firmwares that did not have anything to do with piracy. it allowed other uses kind of allowed you to use the playstation as a computer. sony didnt want this and went to war with hackers. THEY MADE THERE BED AND NOW THEY HAVE TO SLEEP IN IT.
the hackers could be anybody. it is unknown who is doing it. knowing this information knowing that they was warned, they should have thought about this and just put linux back on. it was to be hacked anyway, piracy is always inevitable, its not worth destroying your system over it. is it. and when there suppose to have some loyalty to customers, they should have done what was for the best and put linux back on ps3.
its turned from a computer to a useless box with no internet use. the ps3 does have an edge over the xbox360, but they keep taking that away, linux, internet browser, free gameplay online. once had memory card readers and the popular emotion chip which has also been removed. it is bad management that has put sony where they are today. bad management only. Its time they started giving some of them the high jump. and make the ps3 the system its suppose to be.
they really need to swallow there pride, look things over again, learn from there mistakes, and bad judgements. and try and fix this. it cant hurt at all to put linux back onto the ps3. why be so stubborn about it. is it really worth loosing the ps3 over. total loss of playstation network and its customers details. etc. should be think not just of themselves but also about loyal ps3 customers who would have also liked to see linux back on the ps3. sony COMPUTER entertainment.
did you know a 14 year old boy did the same thing to microsoft, did microsoft take him to court. NO. they give him a job. Microsoft obviously have much more common sense than sony does, am really annoyed at sony for being such a stuck up company, thinking about themselves and not about the machine and its loyal customers. iam a big fan of the ps3, but they really acheived total destruction almost of the ps3 system, idiots. i cant feel sorry for sony. but i do feel sorry for sonys customers.
