keep the camera in the same place, record the same thing twice in two different positions, use a program with a 'crop' or 'split screen' effect to split the clips down the middle and merge them together :D I used final cut pro but you can use imovie HD, windows movie maker, adobe premiere elements and other programs all with different types of 'crop' '8 point garbage matte' or 'split screen' effects.
