  • fucking hypocrites

  • I used to be a PC fanboy until I got my MacBook Pro. I have idea how I survived using Windows for the past 5 years.

  • recycle your macbooks for something useful now! (hint: slackware)

  • what would i want to recycle my macbook pro? its to precious to throw away

  • this is Macbook Pro, isn't it ?

  • @stevehwp No, a MacBook.

  • and just why would i want to recycle it

  • @1chasegamer Money is made of a cotton-paper blend.

  • More eco is to buy cheaper pc and install macos on it.

  • THIS ISN'T GREEN! Do you know how many tree's were cut down just to make enough money so I could buy this thing?!?!?!?!?!?

  • Those macbooks are really eye-catching!

  • i have a mac, and im never going back...to....Dell

  • Dell saved my Bell from Hell

  • a perfect example of greenwashing (recyclable does not mean recycled)

  • mac sucks

  • @MacsucksProductions Poor introduction

  • nice animation

  • I was pretty disappointed with the '09 model, the track pad was more unresponsive than a vegetable. Though I'm glad they've fixed it.

  • Does anyone REALLY still care about all the "Going Green" bull shit? I think they just advertise that to give rich, computer illiterate celebrities something to brag about. I'm pretty sure everyone has noticed they are always supporting a cause of some kind.

Besides, it would be more productive for the environment to just get rid of Apple's computer stuff altogether. Less production plants = less pollution. Apple has the OS, let other companies provide the hardware. Give people a choice, Apple.

  • @AmiableAdder Yawn...and the market share just keeps on growing! ;)

  • @xionxiox Ya because people keep buying into Apple's bull shit instead of thinking about what would really help ;)

  • @AmiableAdder yup! apple knows what consumer's want and that's why they're billionaires and you're not ;)

  • @xionxiox Ya because everyone who works at Apple is a billionaire lol.

    Anyway,s here's why I'm not rich:

    1. I've never been "in the right place at the right time".

    2. I don't use other people's ideas without their permission.

    3. I don't have the money or time, or know anyone who has the money or time, to help make my ideas come to life.

Besides, not everyone wants the same thing. I honestly don't know anyone who gives a shit about "going green" and the global warming nonsense.

  • @AmiableAdder This is the last comment I'm going to make to you. I didn't ask you what your views were on global warming and "Going Green" nor do I care. If you choose to believe people should not try to help the planet, that's on you. The reason people get rich is because they don't sit on youtube all day making videos about World of Warcraft Glitches and Ubuntu. LOL. Anyways, I'm sure you have a JOB and many friends to attend to (not). Have a blessed day.

  • Mac pollutes more them my diesel train

  • @SMGJohn What is a diesel train?

  • @easywebshow WTF!? Diesel train is a diesel powered train.............

It has a diesel engine and pollutes intense! Makes greenpeace get a hearth attack

  • @SMGJohn WTF? How should i know that? i mean wow a train which works with diesel? i think energy it's quite better! HA! and i hate the word wor whatever: WTF WTF WTF (how stupit??)!

  • @easywebshow You know Diesel? It's what is used in most cars today...

Welcome to planet earth. Energy!? Well a Diesel engine creates energy in order to move the train... >_<''

And I have no idea what you just said at the last sentence...

  • d'awwww my laptops environmentally healthy :')

  • d'awwww my laptops enviromentally healthy :')

  • BROADCAST 2000 - RUN #FTW

  • Mac is better than PC. End of discussion. So what if it has less game efficiency than a PC. That's Sony and Playstation are for.

  • apple gives health, health gives job, job gives money, money gives women, women give hiv, you still want an apple?! xDDD

  • Everything apple makes is purely ecological - made out of natural shit!

  • Wtf is the point with a healthy macbook? Do you get cancer of other computer? hah

most stupidest thing i ever seen. MacBooks are great but this? is just stupidity!

  • @MrDraugnor the point is to not make less of an impact on the environment.

  • wow this commercial was 2years ago and ive never

seened it in my entire life :O

  • thats my baby lol

  • ohhh I get the poin all that I always wanted to do with a 1000$ notebook is to recicle it

  • song?

  • awesome

  • song is from broadcast2000

  • DELL IS HELL

  • @MissSlytherin27 True. I have A Dell Inspiron 1525 and it sucks.

  • @MissSlytherin27 Dell isn't my favorite company ever, but dont start a flame war you ignorant fool.

  • song?

  • link in the sidebar

  • Mac is for casual home users. Windows is for more developement uses. Like, you can test out many things with Windows and with Mac, all you can do is use overpriced software.

  • Greenpeace: How the companies line up

    (only posting laptop makers)

    Samsung - 7.1 ; LG - 5.7 ; Toshiba - 5.5 ; Philips - 5.3 ; Sharp - 5.3 ; Acer - 4.9 ; Panasonic - 4.9 ; Apple - 4.7

    Those macbooks sure are "green".

Poor lenovo, thrown near the bottom because they refuse to remove toxic compounds essential to making the most reliable laptops... and they produce the least "e-waste" on the list.

  • New 15-inch Macbook Pros now have an anti-glare option so you can get one if you hate that horrid glare on the screen...

Right now, 15 and 16 inch Macbook Pros have an anti-glare option.

  • Apple! I'm Love'n it

  • 

  • Look... pc sucks. i have three computers, a desktop mac (seven years old), a pc desktop( one and a half years old), and a macbook( three months old)

Now, my pc has had more problems altogether, in everyway than my apple desktop.

that there says it all, macs rule, if a computer that is seven years old, and has been though hell, can run better than a one and a half year old computer, then doesn't that mean that macs are just plain better? Yea it does!

Oh and by the eay, Dell is more like Hell

  • Very childish, callmeLilSparky. Block me so you get the last word. I'll leave it at this.

I own a PC with Leopard, Vista, and Ubuntu. I know what I am talking about when it comes to hardware. I study this. It's not about Total Power consumption. It's about individual power consumption. Temperature effects the hardware, and when everything is smooshed together in a case with no air circulation, the hardware will get damaged. It's not opinion, it's fact.

  • pc sucks i have had mac and pc and pc is at least 3x slower

  • It's only slower because of the quality of the hardware. The hardware that is in your Mac is obviously of a higher grade than that of your PC, hence the deprivation in speed. If not, then you need to clean your registry up and your duplicate files, and than defrag the hard drive. I suggest using PCpitstop if you're computer savvy. I also recommend you use BitDefender Total Security, which is the best antivirus program that I've ever used.

  • @moomba445 Apple laptops are made by the same people who make Dell laptops, and a bunch of others. Look up Foxxcon.

  • Comment removed

  • pshh yeah right they have some of the best lapyops out there i love them...!

  • This is a fact, pc sucks, apple rules

  • @yankeefan610 PC means Personal computer you fucking idiot, when you say that PC sucks your saying that all computers suck.

  • wwhat's the name of the song!?

  • Too bad they're hardware is shit, and expensive as hell....I would have bought one.

  • lol care to prove your claim? 50 bucks says he is to proud to respond.

  • Expensive is an easy thing to prove. And don't give me the mac mini BS. Sacrificing performance for size is retarded. Secondly, the hardware is terrible. When you take power away from the hardware of a computer, you take away performance from the processor or the graphics card or the RAM etc. The processor and other generic pieces are just fine, but I am talking about the casing and the placement. I have nothing against the OS.

    You owe me 50 bucks.

  • LOL I didnt make the bet with you and about the hardware I know what your talking about your sadly mistaken,in system preferences there an option called better energy saver, better performance or normal so yea you may have experienced that but you can change it easy dont know about the mac mini and it seems the do sacrifice some performance for size but the small models look that way they have 15 , 17 inch models and anything less is probably not the pro brand thats probably what you were thinkin

  • When you have the options of a lower power battery, the rest of the hardware is sacrificed. Don't take me for a fool. I know all about the power-saving options on a laptop, and what I am talking about. A lower voltage to any hardware will lower the performance and the capability. Not to mention that anything that Apple manufactures is cramped together in a casing for maximum storage yet the temperature will increase and you can't put in good hardware. Which is why I like PCs. They're versatile.

  • about the lower battery power its not sacrificing its the LED screen there not taking away they just now rely on that screen its fast it great and it uses less power thats what they mean not take less from the battery so that the battery lasts longer they make the things that take battery power more efficient.

  • First off, it's LCD. Second, the screen brightness means nothing. It's the amount of power that more efficient parts can be placed into the laptop or desktop. You can't have a 100 Watt power supply and expect to run games on it on high quality. Point being, Apple's hardware is garbage, and it's expensive. I really don't feel like pulling out my computer engineering terms to explain it to a fanboy, and in a 500 character comment box. Take it from me. I know what I'm talking about.

  • Ill trust you about what you know about pc and I know were arguing but you gotta understand I own a mac I know that its an LED screen it uses 30% less power and your right this 500 character limit is limiting me to lets just end it now and on this note you like pc I like mac we can't convince each other to switch and I wish you luck.

  • no dude i don't want to start a big argument but on the new macbook it is an LED

  • Well, regardless. There are more risks and cost to an LED screen. Another poor decision by Apple. They should just stick to making software instead of hardware as well. I guarantee that Apple will make more and be able to expand their business if they just sold software, which will give the average user more decisions. In fact, it will probably be cheaper than Vista, which will give people the drive to want Mac OSX more. But w/e. I just have a bunch of qualms with Apple hardware.

  • What is the name of the song in the back ? i din't find the link ? thx

  • witch would be better mac book or the green mac book???

  • Makes me cry everytime...glad I have one :, )

  • The Australian one is better!

  • One Word. "Drool!"

  • My point is that if they truly wanted a "green" computer, they should have used more environmentally friendly manufacturing methods.

Had they tried harder and made it from thinner machine punched metal it would have costed much much less. Vanity is the downfall for this. They could also simply used recyclable plastics instead too. Injection molding is far cheaper than all of that.

  • i like green...lol

  • Does anyone know the song?

  • Run by Broadcast 2000

  • that's why it sounds so familiar. thanks.

  • Comment removed

  • But are you aware that there is no mercury in the screen of the new macbooks? and most of the inside has been changed to be more green, Like the aluminum unibody, its CC milled so the scraps can be re-used to make MORE macbooks, And the battery on all of them last longer then any other laptop.

  • Until it's made from kitten tears, twigs and pixie dust it's not "green".

  • haha,.. Yeah but what is more greener in notebooks? Compared, its green.

  • CNC milling is probably the least efficient way

they could possibly have made this. All have to be remelted etc, more power wasted.

They could have cast it but lost a little precision and needed retouching. Machine-pressed it from thinner sheet but not been able to do it one piece. They could have waterjet cut the holes out vastly more efficient than milling, also very precise, but again no.

They wasted enough energy to make hundreds of notebooks. Green? hardly.

  • But apples point was to make the world's greenest notebooks compared to others, they might not be 100% eco-green but come on. Apple does it the best way they think that will do better in all points of view. Thats what got them to where they are today with being a mobile phone leader and a computer industry leader.

  • @jaredhead2000

Aluminum is suspected to cause Alzheimers. Nevertheless, I might get a MBP because Greenpeace says its greener than the other laptops.

  • I'd rather stare at a lightbulb for a few hours and go blind than buy one of these.

  • so why are you watching this video?

  • >.> no u misunderstood i notebook dosnt have to be a computer. its like lots of peices of smallish paper to write notes in... how do you now know what a notebook is?

  • "greenest family of notebooks, actually wwhy not buy a real notebook for 1 quid and your set

  • The are "Real" notebooks the best computer you could ever invest in.

  • @jaredhead2000 it may be good for nature but not for your wallet

  • i want this : (

  • the song is Run by Broadcast

  • run by BROADCAST 2000 *my bad

  • u must be a republican.

  • I'm a green republican.

    Labels are for soup cans

  • Good to hear. =]

  • That may just be very VERY true

  • The point here is, its environmental footprint is smaller. To those of you talking about throwing away, an old one. I do not even have a laptop. Many buy laptops never having owned one. Desktops use times more energy than laptops. It is in the interest of humanity to develop a new platform with a smaller environment footprint. Is progress supposed to entirely halt too? Or, do we develop a more environmentally friendly way of progressing?

  • man.

0:08 when it turns to the side, it practically disappears because it's so thin! Hah.

I've got one, but can't have until christmas eve. :[

  • I don't understand how if you buy this computer and throw your old one away it is helping the world. The key is reuse. I think apple should stop designing iPods to break after 2 years, and make them better if their real goal is to be green, so that people don't get a new ipod if they don't need one. New things are nice, but think about if you really need something. my dad still uses his 8 year old computer because it does everything he needs it to.

  • I'm a huge PC consumer because it goes with my work. I need more power. All my old PC are transformed to servers or test platforms. And I have a great way of moving my old machines.

I install Linux and put them out on trash days with a big label saying 'Working PC'. So far I move many old PCs that way. Even spoke to two families who took them for their kids. I used to install Linux with edu software on them. Now I'm thinking of Edubuntu.

    Reuse before recycling! ^_^ \m/

  • Well said.

  • I don't really agree with what Apple is saying here about "buy a MacBook... make an environmental difference.." That's bull. But what I am angry about is how many people are fighting here about Macs and PCs. I own a PC desktop and, actually, the new MacBook in this ad. I have to say, they both have their purposes and both have pro's and cons. They both have their place and there is no need to argue about which one is better but hey, I'm not gonna change anyone's opinions. I'm just stating mine.

  • looks silver to me.

  • Quote from Apple: "People who believe these commercials are idiots". I feel bad for the people who already bought this thinking they're going to save the environment or something.

  • I own 3 PCs and two macs all of them running different operating systems like OS X, windows, and linux. I have no bias, they all have their uses.

  • Only losers buy Macs.

"OMG A CATCHY COMMERCIAL, I MUST BUY THREEEEEEE!!!!"

  • Really. Losers. Well you can keep thinking that while your Windows PC goes down when a simple program (like your web browser) crashes. Not me! I keep working, then I simply close my MacBook (knowing that it will always wake up from sleep) and put the 5lb computer in my bag to go to school. Then I open it back up, enter a blog post, capture a video, edit it, convert it to web-friendly format, then post the whole thing, in about 20 minutes. Hm. I think someone who leaves jerky comments is a loser.

  • i dont think its all that great, if your rich and like slow ass laptops go for it (: ill stick to my iphone when im not home and pc when i am

  • it might be green, but probably isn't even able to load a word document under a minute.

  • well mine can :)

  • Well this will probably sucker more hippies into buying Macs. Which most of them already do anyways.

  • LOL Since when people start worrying about notebooks recycle or going green with notebooks LOOOOOOOOL this make me laugh so hard

  • is it twice as fast?

  • Graphics card is 5x better than the previous generation, and the cpu is like 2.4 or sumpin for the entry level model. So it's pretty fast.

  • If you truly wanna go green... go suck steve job dick

  • This commercial basically says "Hey buy me or kill mother earth", I think if you piled all the cash that costs to buy a Mac and recycled it you would be doing just as much good. And by the way I just got my MacBook Aluminium today.:)

  • lets buy it then re cycle it

  • OVERPRICED........NO HIGH END!! crap machine!! apple is getting the trend of beeing "no virus" no bullshit!!!! its like comparing new york and hillbilly mountain...new york is PC, and Mac is just a small town, of course theres more crime in new york!! but also much more happening!

  • Can someone please tell me the percentage of people that when buying a laptop think to themselves "well, the specs are shit buy it is nice to the environment. I'll take it!"

  • "buy the shiny, expensive computer instead of the practical one. at only 3x the cost of a comparable PC, you can't lose!"

lol or you could buy a PC, and use the money you save to plant some trees.

but srsly macs are decent and i have nothing against most mac users, but the culture of Douchebaggery which goes along with all apple marketing can get pretty rediculous. "Go Green, buy a MacBook"? come on, like slightly more efficient computers are gonna save the planet? geez...

  • What shit, those things are made in sweatshops in Bolivia

  • lol, I currently live in Bolivia.... Macs are extremely expensive here since they are all imported and have the price jacked up. So no they are not made in sweatshops in Bolivia.

  • That was just a lot of lying BS.

Don't buy a MacBook of you care about the environment. They are made in China by children in factories powered by energy from fossil fuels like coal.

  • It's called the "greenest" because of how much green it takes to buy one.

  • lol

  • I think it is interesting to know that Apple was quite low on the Greenpeace listing of computer producers.

And do they really want to sell more computers with this? Opportunists...

  • one word: overpriced

  • more like the gayest family of notebooks

  • Have you seen Dell's pink laptops?

  • apple is for people who don't know shit about PC's so they go for this trendy, overpriced, nonsense

  • The opposite is true. Pc's dominate 90% of the market because Microsoft throws their OS at any OEM they can. I'm sure all mac users know a good deal about pcs.

Heck, I use both alot. I'm learning to develop games. I spend half my time drawing up graphics, developing, testing, etc. games on my mac, and the other half of the time trying to get it to work on the school's pcs :P

  • So you're saying that using a Mac makes you half as productive.

Makes sense. That's why only unproductive artist types use Macs.

  • 70% of America plays a computer or video game. It's a popular and growing entertainment industry. I'd rather make games than work in basic data entry, something pcs seem to be used for alot.

The only thing that slows me down is trying to make games backwards compatible with Windows. Of course, most pc users I debate with tend to side with windows because it plays games, and since Microsoft anti-competitively dominated the OS industry early on, more games are made for Windows anyway.

  • And it costs 4000 dollars.

ohh and it has features of a 100$ cpu

  • piece of shit

  • I have that wallpaper on my Dell laptop. hell ya!

  • And it only cost 2 as much :D

  • Just because they say it's green doesn't mean the other brands are not as green.

Apple is bullshit, do your own research: google "apple air pollution".

    Spread the message!

  • great to know its recycable cuz the 1st thing i think of when i shell out thousands of dollars to buy a laptop is if its safe for the environment when i throw it in the gabage....wtf???? are they saying its a disposable laptop or something

  • Macs tend to last a good 6-8 years (at least twice as long as most pcs), but regardless, it's important that they make a computer out of recyclable components anyway.

I haven't known many people that threw out a mac though.

  • Wow, you're so full of B.S.

Another mindless Apple Zombie who is willing to pay any price to own the latest shiny think CrApple produces.

  • Can you prove me wrong?

And by the way, this macbook cost $400 less than a dell xps with similar hardware/software. It also came included with all the development software I needed.

  • That was 9 months ago.

  • I am an enthusiastic mac user, but if you were unable to find a dell configuration cheaper with similar hardware, you're either bad at it or not trying.

  • Dell xps models tend to cost more than inspiration as far as specs, but are, apparently, made better quality than the inspiration model. In the configuration, I included Vista Ultimate, with in my opinion, is the closest thing to Leopard. The only difference was was the Dell's wireless card (worse) and (a $130) graphics card (better).

But, if I compared an inspiration (apparently the bargain pcs out of Dell), it probably would come to be a little cheaper with similar specs.

  • only you can make it green with the green in your wallet!

  • the only that makes me want to buy that is improved battery effiecency

  • 

  • omg wtf is this shit

  • Quastic...

It's a commercial for a Macbook. It's actual quite obvious.

    *sigh*

  • I got one of the "old Macbook Pro's, and it looks way better then the new ones. But i'm an apple supporter, so GO new Macbook!

  • i still use a pc but macs are cool

  • Who gives a fuck about the nature?

  • Bitchslapper12

    Judging by your comment....

Let me guess, your 15 years old, your white, you live in the suburbs and you come from an upper middle class family.

Must be nice to be so privelleged as to have everything you could ever want, yet still bitch about everything.

    I bet I'm right.
