these Sumos are a blast. We got 4 for xmas and run them all at the same time on the track. we switched from AA's to high mah rechargeable NiMH. Gave them a real kick in the pants. LiPos are a big no-no since the motors are not brushless. just make sure you put a little piece of foam in between the rear shock tower and the back of the motor mount covering the differential case. this is an area that fine dirt particles can enter the diff and slow down the car, easy fix!

@Mrmagicman29 for the $100 + that it costs can many add ons for the sumos. Glad to see that you now have hobby grade rc. there are lots of hop ups for the sumos available,oil filled shocks and all sorts of pretty aluminum parts but they are unnecessary for such small scale unless you want flash

Hey Ali! Be honest. I know you're sponsored by Redcat Racing, but is the Sumo 1/24 Truggy worth about $50 bucks? How fast does it go stock? Is it durable? Since it runs on AA batteries, can you change the batteries to a rechargable battery pack?

i have a problem, i ran mine the first 5 days i got it. the first 4 days was fine, but the third day, whenever i turn it on, the car just takes off without even touching the controller. i did not do anything with the crystals or circuit board. do i need to get a new set of crystals or something else? mine was 27 mhz AM

hi ali thanks for introducing me to red cat got sumo buggy and loving it but i do think the steering servo should be better quality ran it into things in my house and after a while the servo quit had to by a new own but other than that it was fine

hey ali this is urgent! my friend and i built a small scale track in our back yard!we need some 1/16 scales to run it what happened to the redcats? they sold them years ago but i don't know what happened to them. we would like to have them ep if you now where we could find them! if not we could wait. think you could find out if any brushless ones are on the way? . we want some so bad we tried the 18E and it was too low. and couldnt make it on the dirt. thanks your always a help. @cayuga82 Yes I run AA, you can get NiMh Battery packs of same volts but more MAh and make them go faster. also install new upgraded motor and see it go on adrenalin rush :D

@alishanmao Hello, i just picked up the volcano exp from redcat racing. I chargered the battery for 8 hours like the manual said. However the manual does not say how long to charge it afterwards. I am getting very short run times (like 5 minutes each). Is this right or am i doing something wrong? Please respond, thank you
