its terrible, had it for about 2 years now... Nthing I have tried works, I will be getting pills from the doctor in a week but I hear they only work 70% of the time and that the treatment has a lot of side effects. But its my last hope I guess
The over-the-counter treatments will NOT get rid of a fungus once it gets under your nail. I tried all of them over the course of 4 years. The toenail looked healthy and all visible signs of the fungus had disappeared, BUT as soon as I stopped the treatment the fungus would come back. The only thing that worked was the pills I got from the doctor. The fungus was gone within the month and I haven’t had any problems since. Its been 2 years!
Finding a product that will help you get rid of fungal infection can be hard. i recommend you try tineacide by dr. blaine. tineacide will help you get rid of the yellow, brown, green stuff on your nails and will make your nail stronger so it will stop breaking so easily.
I use a solution called TROSYL (Tioconazole) I have been using it for about 7 months now twice daily and NOTHING???....I caught it because i went to my local swimming pool and i got it from there....Im getting very dismayed about it as they look all yellow and they are 3 times as thick as normal and very brittle, i even tried getting seriously drunk and taking a pair of pliers to them and ripping them off (not advisable..lol) ...It's getting sooo down..maybe nail removal is my only option?..
@Deadlybrit try tea tree oil. seriously. my friend used it and it works wonders. Using a cotton swab/qtip and dip it in pure tea trea oil and apply it on to your nail. do this twice a day. Alo try to avoid getting tea tree oil on skin because it might irritate. Anyway, make sure u keep ur nails short, and before applying the oil, file ur nails (not everyday) and then apply it so it will absorb into ur nail. It really works, and be PATIENT. It must be better than the oral meds out there.
I got very good results...even better than your idea using just apple cider vinegar soaks once a day. Have you tried that? It softens the nails also without the use of special cream. The nail grew out leaving good healthy nail behind and the fungus under the nail died and could be removed with the point of a nail file.
okay so here is a quicker way to find a cure, first apply some mayo to infected area. then have old lady hand or a worn down sponge massage the area 3 to 4 times daily. then, with a vibrating toothbrush, remove opus in wound
Congratulations and many thanks for all work you put into this treatment! Tell me, where and how can I get the nail softening cream you used? And are you going to post any updates? bb - Toronto, ON
I'm not convinced (unless there are later vids) The sides of the new nail look flaky still. I only say this because i had the same thing. I peeled away as much old nail as possible and for 11 months, I painted Penlong- a clear nail polish anti fungal (a $100 prescription) on the nail bed religiously. The new nail came back just like yours and looked almost perfect. But the sides never looked quite right and here I am about 3 years later in the same boat again. I'm so fed up!
no of course u have to work at curing yourself..! anti fungal treatments inc. thorough detox and switching to whole food diets, eliminating sugar, avoiding all processed food- (if its in a package its processed). take echinacea supplements, put tea tree oil on nail, non-fluoridated water, Allicin (garlic derivative) supplements, colloidial silver, no mushrooms, clearing bathroom moulds properly, astragalus, wormwood (detox supp) etc pm me if yr serious about doing it &want more advice/prods..
You are doing a great job so far! Can I suggest that at night when you are watching tv, that you soak your feet for 30-40 mins in warm Epson salt water. Your feet are still very very inflamed and this will draw out most of that inflammation...Cheers!
YOOOO I HAVE THIS PROBLEM TOO :(

This process has been made far more easy, see dandpcompany.co.uk
After about 3 treatments the fungus is cured using readily available antifungal agents such as Lamisil (terbinafine) and our applicator.
We get 100 times more of the same medicine into the nail as you do when taking tablets and no side effects as it stays only in the nail.
This is new, be one of the first to use it outside of Japan, only available through D&P Company UK.
