I can't believe people faulted this video because nobody in it was black. Do you idiots REALLY want us choosing friends BASED on the color of their skin? Do we need a token black or Korean or Indian guy in EVERY group just to balance things out? Even if thery're only there because of the color of their skin? Does that make a lot of sense?

I wish they would build cantilever truss bridges. They're large, but beautiful. All you see is girders and simple span truss on these model railroads. When I was 16 I built a cantilever truss bridge that was 5 feet long and had 605 parts. I made my own blueprints and I won a lot of Science Fair trophies for testing the strength of it (260 pounds live load) and the other 6 bridges I built. The Bridge over the River Kwai is a cantilever truss. The prisoners didn't build that type of bridge.

Video doesn't really teach you much of anything just advertises his videos for purchase. Basically, a 6:18 info-mmercial to purchase his video products. Shame a man with such talent in the hobby can't share his techniques for the sake of the hobby.

Joe, as a matter of principle, I don't think it's worth the time to use reason against hot air. As an Indian-American, I can't see how any rational person would conclude that because a video doesn't include people of color, the video's maker is racist. I went to a model rr show in march and i was one of about 12 black modelers, in a crownd of about 500(aprox.) the reality is, there are not many of us, so i dont realistically expect to see much 'color' in anything that has to do with model railroading. my opinion: that dosent make it racist. racism is a reality in this country, no question. if you are not a victim of it then its a non-issue, understandably. but the lack of presence dosent automatically make something racist. btw: great video.

We have many good friends who are of African descent, Asian decent, and Native American descent. But to us they are not our "Black friends", or our "Asian friends" or our "Native American friends". They're just "our good friends". We don't notice color.

Thats cool but it was kinda fast. I kinda don't like how you switch from scenery, to bridges, to scenery, to tunnels, and then back to scenery. But it was still good. 4 stars.

The idea with this video is that it's a step-by-step how to on doing an entire scene, including the details like a bridge and a tunnel portal. You might not like the sequencing, but that's the order they need to be done in when I did the scene for real, so that's the order I show them in -- exactly the same order I did them in.

Yeah, but you were talking about scenery and then like he's about to say something then it switches to bridges. This is kinda helpful but it would be nice if the tunnels and the bridges were at the end.
