I started my locs 9 months ago with shoulder blade length two strand twists b/c I didn't want to cut my hair. My twist pattern was virtually undetectable at 7 months. Maybe it just depends on the the texture of hair. Mine hair now looks no different than anyone's else's.
Hi. My hair is very soft and doesn't loc well using the other methods such as gel twist or back combing. So i wanted to start them using kinky twist with afro kinky hair. I was wondering if that would be possible or not
Was her hair started with two strand twist extensions? I can see the twist pattern not lessening if it's extension hair, but I started my mom's locs with two strand twists (her own hair), and it's now fully loc'd then entire way down with no twist pattern in sight. So please let us know if the twists in her hair is extension or her own hair. I'm thinking it's extension.
I startd mine with 2 strand twist, but im freeforming i will not b retwistn my hair. but iv seen plenty videos of ppl who started with 2 strand & their hair had the dread loc pattern 2 it after a yr. i kinda disagree with you sayn this is the only way 2 get the look or cut your off.

Thanks for the video, my daughters hair was started off by a "2 strand twist but I did them too fine. Now the locktian ha doubled, even triple them to a reasonable size. We are waiting for them to settle now. I myself had sisterlock which I went on to maintain myself but had to allow them to combine due to breakage. I now two-strand twist them and am in the process of sewing the twist together to makke thicker locks. Thanks for posting!!

I just took down my two strands b/c I was not satisfied with the parts/size. Can u give me any advice?
