  • quick update: she's 6 now, and she's being tested for a few problems, adhd, aspergers and autism...thanks guys for your support x

  • if you think she could have Asperger's talk to me about it i have Asperger's and can easily recognized my own kind

  • arent asperges vegetables

  • If she gets diagnosed with Asperger DO NOT ever send her to a ''Special'' school, this will lower her chance to ever have friends or a normal life, and it will also fuck up her chances to ever graduate.

  • at 3 yrs old it is hard to tell. they dont like to diagnose till they r 7yrs old where i live. she could just have delayed speech and langage has she had hearing checked to make sure she hears sounds right?

  • she is adorable! but I would have said her behavoiur is more like a child with ADD than with aspergers, as the two are so closely connected it's hard to know for shore, in any case both condistions would need a profeshinal diagnoise.

  • sorry, but why would this behaviour make somebody suspect aspergers? I have seen it a lot of times ..all kids do that!

  • euh more 3 year old kids react like that when they always have to say things that there parents want them to say, ... indeed: let the specialist talk, and not put her in a box in 30 seconds! she is very cute!

just love her like she is!

  • she is really cute and her actions are like some that someone with autism might have, but I would need more info.

  • Your little girl is very cute :-D The facial movements, assuming they are tick-movements, are typical of someone on the Autistic spectrum, but that's not enough to go on. Does she have any sort of interests, hobbies, or activities that she is hyperfocused on? Difficulty with social interaction and difficulty expressing thoughts through speech are other ways of knowing. Aspies tend to stick to themselves or with other Aspies. People with AS also tend to think differently than others.

  • @rhiannon650 You forget the some of the "unqualified internet users" who may stumble upon this video might actually live with Asperger's and know intuitively what to look for. I am one of those people. I have had Asperger's since Day One. I know how it works. I've lived with it long enough that I can usually tell if a child has it just by looking at them for a moment. You don't have to have a Master's in Psychology to tell if a child has Asperger's.

  • @rhiannon650 people from the internet come from all types of backgrounds. the best people to ask are the people who have children with aspergers syndrome, and a lot of then are online. if you have an issue with it, then don't watch or even bother to comment. thanks.

  • that's a cute little girl! i wish her luck!

  • beauitful little girl

  • I hope asshole people with comments like that burn in hell. They apperently have no idea these children are more likely to be successful w/ constant work and practice. We just found out our 3 yr old daughter has Aspergers. My opinion-find a place like schools that specialize in these conditions and have her evaluated. Her mannerisms are very similar to my daughter but I am not a doctor.God Bless you and your beautiful family and best wishes when seeing this through.

  • @smkipus why dont you go and hang yourself... I am guessing if you have to save for college, you must already be quite unfortunate with your money situation.

  • @smkipus hey..you... drop dead.

  • @smkipus Obviously you are desperate for some attention, well done you're very brave, anonimous comment has got you a tiny bit! I'm sure YOUR mother is the best person to answer your question! the fact that you have had the thought process to put that comment there only shows the rest of us there IS something wrong with you. I hope you get the help you need.

donnanco you have a beautiful little girl, sure you are worrying unnecessarily but would waste any time checking things out

  • I'm thinking that a doctor would do a better job of diagnosing your daughter than a bunch of random strangers on the Internet.

  • A person with aspergers generally doesn't act like that. She may simply be a young kid. BUT, even if she were autistic, it doesn't mean she is AS. So how is she acting NOW?

Anyway, if she is hitting or exceeding all the milestones, what does it matter? THAT is what you should care about.

BTW ediself.... I am male and, like you, was more likely to be off reading somewhere.

  • @ukkr I have asperger, I don´t think she has.

  • COME ON! Is it like a new trend to get an Aspie labeled kid? Your kid is just being a kid!

  • dont worry i found out i have aspergers not along ago and i am 24 years old so but growing up i was never tested for it cause back then most of use was just labeled adhd and seletive mute dont get me wrong i do have adhd but on top of that i have aspergers so keep pressing the subject with the teacher and doctors and everyone that will listen

  • possible but does she have any obessive intrests routines or other symptoms?

  • she is just like every other silly 3 year old and she is beautiful

  • I hope i've got it so I can get disability benefits!

  • i don't think she is exibiting any simptoms of aspurgers syndrome. She looks like a perfectly normal healthy young girl.

  • OMG, what an adorable little girl!!!

  • @gnomederwear thankyou very much its nice to receive comments like that =)

  • I'm no expert and but have been tearing up the Aspergers/Autism world so to speak researching ... and tome based on what I read the big factor between AS and Autism is the language level, and body movements. AS children tend to score higher in Verbal/language skill than Autistic and Autistic have a higher Visual Spacial skills than AS children. AS children don't tend to do the movements seen in Autistic children, spinning, hand movements, rocking etc... does your daughter do this? My Kids are AS

  • @rprimeau95 she doesn't look like she could be rocking herself any time soon...she's just twitching and unfocused on the matter at hand. my son is the same....i thought only boys where that way, at her age i was reading in a corner all damn day long...

  • awe! ^.^

  • I wouldn't necessarily say AS; AS is so hard to Dx at that age anyway, especially with such a short clip and in such a situation. In front of a camera, many children get silly and exaggerate. It would be much more telling to see how she interacts with peers and during a "regular" activity in which an adult isn't prompting her to "say...say...say." Certainly her behavior appears odd, but you'd need much more for a Dx.

  • Does she tell you what her name is when you ask her too? or does she tell people how old she is when asked? My daughter doesn't know her or say how old she is, I have also been told that she may have high functioning autism..For example, when I spill a drink she will say "Uh oh Chloe", I think she says that because she hears me tell her Uh Oh, but I have told her numerous time that she is chloe, I am mama, and daddy is daddy. She just doesnt get it. She repeats, but doesnt understand who she is.

  • I'm new at this, but it seems to me that it doesn't cause too much harm to have them evaluated and if they get services, great. Either way the world needs to accept them as they are and who they will be.

  • Kids with aspergers have very high verbal skills, which I don't see in her. I have aspergers, I'm a girl, and when I was 3 I was speaking in full sentences and reading books. She seems pretty normal for a 3 year old but it's a 5 second video. She might have "high functioning autism" though.

  • @MissInternetGuru totaly agree. aspergers start talking with very high complicated skill, that way they call them the little professors.

  • Dude, delete that jerk's comment!

  • yh i did...blocked him 2 =]

  • If you have any doubts about her development, take her to a developmental specialist right away and have her evaluated.Much precious time can be saved by acting upon it asap.Good luck!

  • She's cute!!

  • It's very possible. I have Asperger Syndrome. I was a lot like your daughter when I was her age. I didn't like eye contact, I couldn't sit still, and I misinterpreted everything. A mental health team is not going to help much though. She needs to see a psychologist, preferably one that specializes in treating children. Good luck.

  • Also look for lining things up on the floor, and spinning toys...not playing with them as intended. spinning a car instead of rolling it. or anything else that she has as well

  • She is a young child. They do not diag in the states till after 3. All my kids are aspies and never had the typical Childhood reactions like she was having though. They were withdrawn. So maybe there is nothing wrong. Sometimes kids are just being kids. We checked into it for the fact my eldest spoke late and my middle boys eyecontact was glased. My youngest stimms all over at exciting things and when he is mad.

  • Actually, I was approached by my daughter's the teachers at Early Childhood Family Ed.(like community preschool here,) she would have got the same result from the regular preschool screening, but this got her help sooner. I don't know where you live but something thru the schools might put her on the right path. My son has a similar diagnosis, had early intervention classes and he went to regular kindergarten and is in first grade with minimal supports. Good luck!

  • Possible, mine daughter who is three and a half is similar,( very sing-songy speech., and little eye contact.) The school district has tested her as having austism/asperger's. She is receiving early intervention special ed now. It is helping, perhaps have your daughter tested?

  • i spoke 2 my gp n he reffered her 2 a mental health team??? wen they came 2 c me they didnt really understand y they were there...so i can c its gonna b a long journey!

  • @donnanco
