Thanks for your comment. Usually when recording a video, I practice for an hour or so, coming up with ideas. If I was an inexperienced musician, somewhat like yourself, I too would think that taking my shirt off while playing the drums was not necessary. If I didn't practice, exert energy and sweat, I'd look like a piece of shit, too. I can see why you are confused. I hope I have helped you understand.

I like your drums cover. The rythm suits well (this is not the case of many covers available). But I am not a great fan of this kind of vocals.

I also made a cover of this song with a rather close drums beat (but no double kick). I face troubles to recorded the voices but its sounds almost close to the idea I got...

@shariotoflove yeah i was still having some trouble mixing my kick back then. in this particular mix, you cant hear the low freq's of the kick, you can only hear the clickplate around like 3-4khz...so the kick is like a click. sucks.

I downloaded the Acapella track, which means Vocals only.

You can also use a filtering technique if you have the regular version of the song + the instrumental, but that doesn't work as well as just getting the acapella.

i downloaded the acapellatrack, but you can still hear the instruments in the background slightly.

this could be one of 3 things

1. It really is an acapella track and you are hearing 'bleeding' from the artist's headphones (this is usually when you can hear the snare/claps + hihats but not really the bassy elements)

2. It's a poor filter (all elements of the song might slip through at a low volume)

3. It's not a true acapella, but some weird DJ vocals-up version of the song.

you can still work with any of those. My acapellas had a little bit of #2 but I worked around it.

i wanted to doublebass it but i can't doublebass fast enough for 32nd notes at the BPM and the 16th note double was just too slow. same applies to the blasbeats.

my drum throne was on my digital kit, and i kind of like the bouncy piston on this chair haha. funny that you noticed that lol
