  • Huh?

  • the best Bach Ive heard on guitar

  • Wow! great video!

  • wow ! congrats ! first time I hear it in G minor, original tune ... although it is common for the lute .. I guess the fingerings must be more difficult on a guitar, especially since yours seems standard tuning

    anyway , great job *****

  • Seeing you play really reinforces my trust in you as a very competent teacher.

    Thanks!

  • I thought it was written for Lute, I have the Gray book purchased it around 1970, In German it indicates, Lute Suites for Guitar.

Very Nice Playing, Enjoy it! Bravo!

  • It was originally for violin but back in them times they transcribed the pieces to other instruments such as the lute.

  • bach did, bwv 1000 is the transcription for lute

  • sweet

  • Jamie, nice job on this piece. It's one of my favorites to play.

    Bach! There is none greater!

  • Nice played, and wery good interpretion;-)

But the piece originally for lute(Fuge in Gm fur laute bwv1000) , but Bach used this piece in his Violin sonata (Bwv 1001) and transcribed it for violin with a few changes....but thats enogh music history for to day:-P

  • I'll write for you any sheet music

  • beautiful

  • Very nice.

I thought it could sound great only on violin, but this proves I was wrong...

  • Wow!

  • Very Nice! I see You've Pacticed hard! thanks!

  • Bravo!

    I love Bach!

    Thanks!

  • Buena ejecución, definitivamente no cualquiera interpreta a Bach, y tu lo haces bien. Buen apoyado igualmente. Felicidades

  • Bravo, l'important est de faire passer une émotion, pas impressioner par la technique, respecter le compositeur, et "interpréter" avec son coeur, et là, ça "passe"...

  • Full of passion! Very expressive

    interpretation! This is the most

    important component in making music!

  • Actuallly, this is an authentic performance. The sectional gaps are called agogics. Baroque performers improvised their ornamentations. Baroque experts will frown on a metrically correct performance. Gm was also the original key of this piece.

  • Its messed up that many people have an opinion on how someone else is playing the piece and are full of "advice" when they can not even come close to playing the same piece.

If you have any balls monitortastatura.....you will post a video of you playing the fugue 1001....oh wait...you just are good at telling people HOW to play and cant play yourself.

  • My sentiments exactly

  • @JHotnuts I'm sure this lady is a much better all around player than me, and I can only play the first 30 measures of this piece, but I will say that she's really rushing this. She's playing really nice in every other respect but just saying, she's rushing something terrible. I can play at least the 1st 30 measures of this better

  • Hey guy's, I have seen this guy (same user name) all around youtube criticizing hundreds of guitarists' videos. He is probably on youtube all day. Can you say NO LIFE? I happen to know he has got another username so he can log on that one and back up his other comments. He has got a video of himself playing twinkle twinkle little star and fucks it up beyond belief. This guy is as pathetic as Simon Cowell from AI. Well done Jamie!

  • Apparently you have NO IDEA who Jaime is, her books are some of the most scientific and correct information on guitar technique EVER written. She is a HUGE ADVOCATE of using a metronome properly. You have never heard this piece as written, because most people don't have the technique to back it on guitar. Have a pianist play it for you AS WRITTEN and you will see how wrong you are. I see your removed you video of you fucking up twinkle, when will you be posting your version of this piece?

  • this was supposed to be a reply to that idiot monitortastatura on the 2nd page, you tube moved it on me and won't let me delete it, sorry for the misplaced venom.

  • WOW! I have to say that I can also play this one (not as good as yours) but usually guitarists play this in Am not in Gm and you played it in G, this is so impressive! i've really enjoyed! you're brilliant!

  • Kon-you have just displayed your thorough ignorance and lack of understanding of the meaning of music. "Masterpiece"- yes, that only a virtuoso/master is capable of performing. Research who you so rudely dismiss and criticize. Oh- and post your version...

    Wonderful Jamie!

  • thanks for the "Guitar Principles"

  • WOW

  • not bad!!!

  • Very well done! I think you have a very good technique and good expression. I did notice some slight slurring in places where I'm sure you intended clear separation. Nothing afew sessions with the metronome won't fix :)
