  • The odds are one out of 500,000.

You're more likely to be hit by a car on three separate incidents. In the same day.

    Just saying.

  • If you're not willing to take a 1:500000 chance you should never even leave your house.

Your chances to die in a traffic accident are much higher.

  • i wonder how many people said... "thanks bitch u fucked it up for everyone" lmfao

  • 1in 500000 chance lol

  • All I can say is: That's Aussies for ya. 8D

  • That hot chocolate must've been the best damn chocolate ever#

  • Pussies

  • Female Chuck Norris.Nuff said.

  • If this was an American, they definitely would've died. WA education system FTW.

  • almost similar thing happened to the survival program guy on discovery channel, when he was instructor in UK's S.A.S. his parashute broke in midair (if i remember well it was 100 meters above ground) and he dropped out of the sky like a rock and he survived too

  • amazing woman!!

  • She was an idiot to be bungee jumping, and a double idiot for doing it over crocodile infested waters. I'm glad she survived but she shouldn't have kids. They;d be idiots like her.

  • @terabrat With a comment like that, you should not have kids.

  • @terabrat I've never ever heard of a bungee cord snapping. Its actually extremely safe fun.

  • @Jex134 I have, actually... there was a case here just a couple of months ago that a young jumper got killed when the cord snapped. It does happen. I'm sure it's not very often but it does happen. Of course you can argue about the relative danger, I'm sure traffic accidents are much more usual.

  • @terabrat I'm sure she will have kids somedays, she's HOT!

  • It was 365 feet and not in meters! way off!

  • Of course the cord would snap if someone as big as Cenk was bungee jumping.

  • Crocodile infested river? Big fucking deal. She's an aussie chick man, we keep crocs as pets down here instead of puppies & kittie cats. ;-)

  • Passing up hot chocolate what are they crazy

  • The title of this was truncated to "Bungee Cord Snaps, Jumper Falls In Crocodile" and I expected to see the croc from Peter Pan down there with a napkin around it's neck and it's mouth open and waiting.

  • @thedarktower79 No one cares if your too scared to go bungee jumping so shut ya mouth buddy ive been sky diving and its wayyyy more dangerous and risk is worth the reward i experience more than life can normally offer to be in a situation more dangerous than life can offer, get it ;) and driving is more dangerous statistically wayy more ppl have died in a car than strapped to a cord and jumping off a building. Go look it up if u think otherwise

  • love jumping and there's always the chance of something going wrong so every jump make it like your last.. definitely a more secure jump over water obviously your chance for survival ... Whistler ,B.C here

  • you know that guy hanging there to the left is like..."SHIT!PULL ME UPP PULL ME UP

  • I wouldnt mine slapping her all over. ;D

  • @OBZRV82

Stand in line....you are after the crocodiles XD

  • what an amazing woman!!! Cant believe shes survived. very very lucky

  • we make them tough in Australia

  • Bet she scared the shit out of those crocodiles.

  • steve-o...h? :3

  • Death of final destination is gonna come for her because death doesn't like to be cheated

  • She didn't fall 400 yards/meters. Sorry.

  • Comment removed

  • Bitch cheated death. good for her, unfortunately you can't cheat death.

  • @wetdream09 Read your comment again, out loud. Can you spot the fallacy?

  • @PostgodAfterbirth yes and what i mean is death is gonna get back at her. can you read between lines?

  • @wetdream09 ..hell ya !!! agreed she cheated death and it don't matter how tough anybody is..every dog's got its day

  • @wetdream09 Oh for,..."death" isn't an entity out there waiting to get you....

That's Medieval superstition. It's like believing in unicorns.

The cord slowed her decent before it snapped thus reducing her effective free fall height to the equivalent of some cliff divers. She's lucky the river was deep.

BTW: Look at the video closely. The tip of the cord hit the water before she did. That means it shot past her. Imagine if it hit her on the way down.

  • @SpitfireOFatj lol its prob all those final destination movies iv seen. i know your right but its not that i see death as an entity waiting to get you. But i do believe some things are meant to happen and next little accident this girl has she's gone. because no one is so lucky.

  • Parachuting is much safer and more exiting

  • All I have to say is: LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. Crocodiles?! Glad she's okay.

  • The Angel's Landing hike is the most exhilarating hike I've ever done.

  • Just looked up a bunch of Angels Landing videos and now I have vertigo.

  • @DemonicCollusion Wtf are you talking about!? Go take your meds, freak.

  • @july7nyc

Did that make you mad? 'Cause you seem pretty mad. haha

  • Evolution at work.

  • They boosted. It was only 110meters

  • So Cenk would never bungee jump because something "could" go wrong... does he ever fly on a plane?... drive a car?... take an elevator?... walk on the sidewalk?...

  • A bungee cord snapping is usually the least of a jumper's worries. A sure way to die is if the cord is too long.

  • @WimpyMcWeaksauce free fall 4 football field, see how anyone could survive that one! LOL

  • I'm so glad you've got the asian guy on the show :)

  • "its a miracle!"

    - no, thats gravity.

  • She aint australian. Shes a Saffa

  • I wonder what Freud would say about people who throw themselves off a bridge for fun.

  • @7graywolf7 he would say.. revolution, people going suicidal

  • i don;t feel sorry for her why only idiots do this shit

  • @dojOdRiFTeR

lol, enjoy life a bit more man

  • @Griffinltd autoracing not something this stupid especially in afirca they didn;t even have the medical tech to help it was in sa

  • @Griffinltd "lol, enjoy life a bit more man"

Here in SOCAL there's a place called "Divers Cove". The bottom is a perfect shape for riding the rip tide. You stand in about three feet of water and wait for a wave to hit the shore. As it flows back out you dive in and it sweeps you out to sea. You find yourself flying along the bottom at high speed. You curve upwards as it slows to hit the surface. I've been shot out into 50 feet of water over 400 feet from shore in less than a minute.

  • lol damn right I'm going to go get hot chocolate

  • Look at the top comments "Ohh i think the bungee cord would have slowed her fall"...

SHE FELL A TREMENDOUS HEIGHT!!! INTO CROCODILE INFESTED WATER!!!

She landed, untied herself, swam to the shore, and had a clear enough mind to roll over and cough up all the water and blood, so she wouldnt drown!!!

And those top comments are like...Yeah, piece of cake!!! She really is a 1 in a million! Very, very lucky!

  • @rorrt not at all, your body would naturaly retch up any water in your wind pipe. not luck at all but physics, she survived the fall because the cord caught her before it broke.

  • @megabeaver23

But as she told the story, that she had the clear mind, to know to roll over, and she knew that she would cough up the water in her lungs.

And i dont really need to repeat that she fell, what was it? 2 football pitches vertically, into water? Known for being crocodile infested...

I call that pretty damn lucky!

  • @rorrt rolling over to clear your lungs is as instinctual as to put pressure on a bleeding wound, and she didn't actually hit for 2 football pitches the cord would have absorbed most of the impact before it broke, like a safety net. and crocodiles aren't just mindless machines she was probably a lot bigger than any of the animals in the water just by the size of the river compared to what is needed for a full grown crocodile to survive. The only luck would be breaking for her.

  • @megabeaver23

I thought the way they described it she was falling, the chord snapped, and then she fell 2 football pitches.

And from what ive seen on the discovery channel, crocodiles attack when they see people in distress.

  • @rorrt that would be sharks, crocodiles are actually and prefer to be ambush predators and would not likely try to attack something of larger mass flailing in the water and I doubt though that crocodiles even hunt in that are because the current would give them away and other animals would prefer shallower and calmer sources of water.

  • I don't see why Cenk has to stress ZAMBIA AND ZIMBABWE. Let's face it this could have happened anywhere. Come on folks.

  • @bulelwam It could only have happened where it did, because of the bridge and the river and the crocodiles. Btw this video illustrates why I will never go bungee-jumping. Ever.

  • I want to bungee jump out of a plane, then when it goes slack, release/cut the rope and skydive.

  • @SelfImmolator well not when it's slack, you know what i mean.

  • Cenk is definitely in more danger every day when he's driving to work in that infamous car than he'd be bungee-jumping :D

  • @grmpf Driving to work is more dangerous than bungee-jumping? That is unlikely. Bungee-jumping is an industry that shouldn'y really exist.

  • @thedarktower79 As an avid bungee jumper, I would like to say on behalf of anyone who aren't crippled by fear.

Go fuck yourself and stop telling other people how to live.

  • @grmpf Right! And I am in more danger by walking to the corner-store than I'd be by swallowing a handful of sewing needles.

  • @thedarktower79 They even said it in the video: 1 accident in 500,000 jumps. And that was on a bridge between Zambia and Zimbabwe. I just took a random guess that statistics for driving (plus in an old car) would be more dangerous than average bungee jumping, but I don't care enough to look it up.

And why did you reply twice, once with a straight answer, and then again with immature sarcasm?

  • It's risk vs. reward. I see no reward bungee jumping.

  • Oh and come on Cenk! Live a little !! on an average day about 1400 people are murdered.. In the history of Bungee Jumping 500 people have died..

    Odds of death:

    Heart disease 1-5

    Car accident 1-100

    Electrocution 1-5.000

    Air Travel Accident 1-20.000

    Tsusami 1-500.000

Those are general odds, doesn't matter if you drive a car or not..

Now the odds, if you are actually doing a bungee jump, is only 1-500.000..

  • also if you've never been bungee jumping, you wouldnt understand. There is NOTHING about PROVING your manliness. If people are asking you to prove your manliness by bungee jumping - you probably shouldnt be hanging out with those ppl

we do it for the thrill. its an adrenaline thing, a being alive thing, a human thing. if you dont want to do it, thats cool - but me, im still looking forward to my next jump

25 yrs old, and 8 jumps in counting: australia, new zealand, guam, zambia, macao & usa

  • I see a hollywood movie, book deal, speaker fees and the end of her bungee jumping career.

  • guys, come on - ive did this EXACT jump twice. its BEAUTIFUL - you literally jump into the rainbows because of all the mist - one of the best jumps in the world - and its definitely not 364 FEET not meters. get your facts right. I've also been on 8 jumps to date.

And if you are in zambia, most likely you are going on safari with lions, snakes and bugs that could bite and poison/kill you - the likelihood of that is a lot higher than your cord snapping

  • 364 feet, not meters ;) the bridge is 111 meters high = 364 feet :)

And the bungy stopped the fall before it broke, so her "real fall" was about 30-40m .. Hitting water from that height is pretty much like hitting concrete if you don't know what you're doing though..

One insane experience she got there :)

  • I <3 Australians. They're so funny.

  • @oneirishpoet or they wanted to live a little and have some fun and chose to do it this way. youre calling them/her assholes for doing what they want, that is an asshole thing to do. even if they were trying to "prove" something im sure it wasnt to you. personally im an adrenaline junkie and love doing this "stupid shit" theres nothing like it, just cus you wont do it doesn't mean your a pussy and just cause i do doesnt make me an asshole.

  • You're going to die some time, better to do it bungie jumping at a young age with your friends than to die sick old and alone yea?

  • @CaliforniaVolante stop being emo,

  • @eight18 adventuresome =/= emo

  • @CaliforniaVolante Um, no. Imagine all the things you can do between being young and not being young. You can squeeze a lot more stuff in.

  • the subtitles are very funny :))

  • yeah she's 'amazing' alright, amazingly stupid

  • too bad the stupid white bitch wasn't eaten by crocodiles, would've sent a message to the other douchebags to stop being such fucking morons...gawd how I hate these ignorant assholes who do this stupid shit to 'prove' what assholes they really are

  • A whole new perspective on, "What could go wrong?" THAT!!! Crocodiles, falling a long-ass way off of a short-ass bridge, no hospital in the entire country. Hello?!?!?!

  • 0.0002% failure rate is pretty good. It's 1000th of the chance to slip and fall off a rock apparently. It is probably thousands of times less likely than being involved in a car accident too...

  • Comment removed

  • Am I the only one that thinks there is more tragedy in that neither of those two countries have a decent hospital?

  • @Gr4yW0rld you're the most kind hearted person on youtube.

  • Who in their right mind would bungee jump in AFRICA, of all places? Wtf

  • normally ana gives the introduction, cenk gives a reasonable opinion, ana adds some pc or bs (or pcbs) and that's it. in this video it seemed like both are equally contributing to the story (of course its just a story and nothing to have an opinion on). its nice to see them together in the video.

  • Respect for this girl.

  • @SangtotheDy fuck the ignorant bitch, she should die from this stupid bullshit and take her deficient DNA out of the gene pool

  • Australian women; tougher than American men.

  • @sensateapollo yeah and even more stupid...moron

  • @sensateapollo Don't confuse "tough" with "insane" or "foolish" or worse yet "unbelievably lucky to be alive and in one piece."

  • cenk is a chickenhawk

  • The girl was lucky she didn't meet up with a hungry crocodile . Especially since her legs were tied up.

  • Even the Crocodiles were stunned by her gangsta skills. Respect!

  • She survived because she's Australian.

...and also because the cord would have slowed her fall considerably before the tension snapped it.

  • Chenks a pussy, lol and I wish he wasnt and the 2 percent happened

  • Steve Oh + Cenk = CO-HOST WIN

  • I was there in 2002. Nobody in our group took the plunge.

(It didn't look like 300 meters to me.)

  • PUT DIS BITCH IN THE GUINNES WORLD RECORD!, she deserves a metal or something haha

  • you shouldn't fly either... you could crash!

  • Like PhillyD said: "that's not an accident, that's a statistical probability"

  • The reason she survived was because the bungie cord took most of the energy out of the fall so the fall was probably more like 50-60 feet. Still a fucking bamf for being able to get herself out and take care of herself like she did.

  • ...and yes there is a chance the cord would snap, there is also a (higher) chance you would get hit by a car, or a stone would fall on your head if you go outside..does this mean u shld stya indoors? ..soo, you don't have balls, which is fine, but don't try to pass it off as "being rational"..

  • It was 354 FEET, NOT METERS! would your please do YOUR JOB and get the facts right, lame morons? Sorry, I love you , TYT, its just yes, MORONS bcs this shows you know nothing abt the subject (a rarebungee spot is just above 300 meters) and LAME bcs bungee-jumping is awesome and you are cowards who wouldn't take a walk to a mountain top that has chains on both sides..and it's not abt "proving manliness"(i'm a female), it's abt conquering your fears..

  • @surmeslevress someones got a little sand in their vagina

  • 2:31 lol

  • look how shredded up that bungee cord was, i bet they were mad that they had to buy a new one

  • Comment removed

  • Ever since I saw joe dirt I vowed I would never bungee jump.

  • she is both determined and stupid at once.

  • My roommate jumped at the same spot in '06. Said it was one of the best experiences of his life.

  • Who does the captioning for this guy? Stop captioning--they're not paying attention; it's distracting.

  • I won't even take hikes boys. I'd be the one snake bitten in my tent. I'll stay in hotels or my home. That's it.

  • When I seen this, I laughed my ass off!LMAO OMG, how stupid can ppl be? She is lucky an alligator didn't rip her ass tro pieces! Only nuts bungee jump PERIOD!

  • there's this famous bungee jumping spot in nepal that i was considering bunjee jumping from this summer but watching this video has seriously got me questioning whether it's worth it.

  • I am never surprised when I see stories of these "sports" going horribly wrong. When you ask for it, don't complain when you get it.

  • Shit Headline got my attention!!! Midwest White Folks said this

  • I'm glad I don't use Cenk's logic when it comes to determining whether or not to do something. I would've never gotten to go skydiving :P

  • @TheCreeperhunter And you are lucky to be alive and that your parachuete worked.

  • Kinda Hot

  • Why would u bungee jump above crocodile infested water

  • Time to get a new bungee.

  • That's Supergirl.

  • It was only about 100 feet saw it on PDF...

  • Cenk! Do you fly on airplanes? It was the first jump in 500 000! Your chances are a lot worse on the road.

  • @mwolfson86 Yeah, but plane rides are necessary to get to certain places. And hell, you have a better chance in a plane than a car. The difference with bungee jumping is that you have no practical reason to do it in the first place.

  • That was worth watching just for Cenks' reaction to bungee jumping. Classic.

  • ITS WHAT SEPARATES THE MEN FROM THE BOYS, ADRENALINE JUNKIES

  • The title was cutoff and I clicked this video believing the jumper had fallen literally into a crocodile.

  • Lesson here don't bungee jump in some 3rd world country.

  • Comment removed

  • This is why i wont buy a motorcycle.

  • This is why you stay inside and play video games kids.

  • Sucks to be him....

  • Only this part of the title was visible when i clicked here "Bungee Cord Snaps, Jumper Falls In Crocodile"

I thought it was going to be a really violent faces of death video.

  • No... She did not fall that far. She already was jerked back by the Bungee BEFORE it snapped. Then, she fell in. Also, the Bungee was an OLD cord!!! They were TOO cheap to replace it. I know, I do bungee and safety means you change the cord if it loses resistance during testing with special equipment. Cheap ass crap equipment!

  • @truvelocity CORRECT, new cords dont snap, those fucks dont have american style regulations and safety standards.

  • More Steve Oh on TyT!!!

  • DONT WORRY PEOPLE.... THE ROPE WAS OK!!

  • Her life was started by a broken rubber and almost ended with one

  • @insertnamehereKJK Dude that's SOOO messed up! But I chuckled anyway! LMFAO

  • @insertnamehereKJK projection much?

  • @insertnamehereKJK i lol'd

  • @insertnamehereKJK I LOL'd. :D

  • I bet its much less than a 2% (2/100) chance of falling as long as you aren't fazed by heights. the thing to hold onto actually makes it quite safe.

  • she has more balls than most commentary mouth pieces

  • its probably for the excitement of doing it rather than a better view. there's just something awesome about it, as long as you're not afraid of heights and liable to freak out.

  • Chances of dying in a car accident: 1,2%

Chances of dying in a bungee jumping accident: 0,0002%

    Usefulness of a car: 100%

Usefulness of a bungee cord: 0%

    The car wins.

  • lmao she didnt freefall into the river. if she did then the cord would have snapped without resistance.. so basically she fell the length of about 100 feet not 300m or whatever you said. dont get me wrong thats high as fuck but cmon tyt your supposed to be a show that loves science.. physics is A PART OF SCIENCE..

way to "drop the ball" on that one

    lol

  • It was the highest dive in the world. There. NExt

  • did the bungee cord slow her down a bit before it snapped?

  • dont go bungee jumping in a 3rd world country : (

  • @DJmexecution did you get that from Phily D?

  • @DJmexecution why not ?

  • @DJmexecution why not
