metal gear rising revengence is not officially part of the mgs timeline, it a spinoff and does not have impact on the orginal mgs timeline. This was stated by the creator Hideo Kojima

Solid snake is one of the 3 clones of bigboss, main character in MG, MG2, MGS1,MGS2, and MGS4. In MGS4 solid snake is called old snake cause he has age rapidly for some reason. Liquid Snake is villain in MGS1 and the solid snakes twin bro. Solidus snake is third clone.
My order of favourite games ever would go FFVII, MGS, Super Mario Brothers 3, Shen Mue and finally Tekken 3. I doubt any game will EVER surpass those 5 in terms of being awesome :-) Dig the glasses too & great research on the MG(S). I never played any of the handheld versions but played all the NES/SNES/PS/PS2/PS3 versions.
@that1pothead You've misunderstood what I'm doing. I just researched MGS 1 since I probably will never play that game, before I play the HD Collection. So, I'm just going over MGS then I'm going to play the games I can play, talk about those, then see how I can play the others. So, no, I'm not crazy...well, maybe a little, but not for the reason you're thinking ;)
MGS blew me away back in 1999 or so when I played it. Mainly because I had never seen anything like it before. Not too long ago I even replayed it and it was still impressive.
MGS2 on the other hand was a trainwreck. I don't know what Hideo was/wasn't doing but it was a terrible execution and blunder. The plot was ridiculously overly complex for the sake of being overly complex, Raiden was a divisive character, and the bosses were rather silly at times. It just wasn't as professional as MGS.
I cannot think of a better series for you to tackle, as there certainly isn't one I love more.
I can't wait until you play them all and can be asked to choose a favorite, I wanna hear your thoughts on the bosses, and I'm excited for the next video in this series!

I would say as a MGS fan you did a good job summarizing the series. Yes it is confusing but it will all make sense after you complete MGS4 or at least the first 3. You shoulda included how Solid & Liquid have different upbringing as Liquid has a British accent. Also you could point out simply that Naked/Big Boss&Solid have the bandana, Liquid has the hair and tattoo and Solidus has the Eye Patch. Don't forget to explain how the Metal Gear NES plot works into MGS1 and Foxhound becoming a terrori
Off the subject what are your thoughts about xbox 720 and ps4 coming to E3 this year and are you ready for them? Me personally I'm not ready for next gen consoles I love my 360 ps3 and wii and soon vita.

Incidentally, MGS was the first game I ever played on the old Playstation and by far my favourite. I still have it, plus the VR disc, Twin Snakes on the GC and MGS2 & 3 on the PS2. Sadly I've never played MGS4 as I don't own a PS3. :(
Big Boss is the greatest of all time. MGS3 had the best ending, compelling story (The Boss) and its own song (the start of it all, headband, eye patch, etc)
mgs4 had the longest story, mgs2 theme song is legendary, a story with the best twist, mgs1 had the best love story.

Make sure your eyes don't get worse. See an eye doctor if need be. I say this as a someone who has had detached retinas, cataracts and glaucoma among other eye ailments. Blind in one eye and limited in the other. Please make sure it is just allergies or whatever and not something more serious. Not trying to scare you or anything. Just take care of your eyes. Please. Besides, you have lovely eyes and I'd prefer that they work.

Metal Gear Rising is a prequel to Guns of the Patriot I heard. And Raiden was mostly the protagonist of Sons of Liberty, Solid was only in about half the game. Anyway, the information you explained was pretty good. I knew most of it and you was good at explaining it. i DIDNT KNOW about the dominant/recessive genes of Liquid and Solid, that was cool :) Did you research it on hand by playing or did you research by reading articles? Wow Metal Gear Have the best Cutscenes Kojima would be a Great Anime Director with all the slow motions and also the deep characters. Metal Gear Solid 3 is an Awesome Game, and also 4. I played 1 in the PS1 and also watch all the lets play of the Gamecube version before i played MGS 2 on the Pc. Its nice to see that you are gonna play this EPIC Saga.

About the genetic inaccuracy, MG is not known for being scientifically accurate, I mean at one point the revolver guy gets possessed by Blondy Snake because he had Blondy Snakes hand transplanted where his was cut off. Organ replacement doesn't work that way.

MGS1 (twin snakes) is amazing. I played it on psn a few months ago and it still holds up. If it had come out this year, it would be a contender for goty. If you like great stories in games, you should try the Yakuza series. OMG best storyline in a game ever, hands down. Yakuza 4 got mixed reviews, but its awesome. So many twists and turns, its crazy. Its like a Japanese GTA with a MUCH better story.

Always loved the Metal Gear story line, not sure if your aware of this but your camera is blocking the M and E from your Mass Effect poster, don't think I have to tell what is says lol.

Thanks for making it more understanding i have played all of the games and was worried that i had not understood the plot 100% because it is a reeli deep story and game got to be one of my fav :) anyways thanks again ill be watching the other parts of your videos too :D
