For those of you who might not have known...Nat spent his later years in Lakeland, Florida where he was a frequent visitor to the jazz ensemble rehearsals. When I was a student I had a chance to listen to him, learn from him, even visited his home. I had a chance to take a few lessons with his bass player at the time, Walter Booker. Amazing times...wish I had appreciated it more when it was going on. RIP Nat...
