WOW....I remember watching this match happened with my step brother Devin (RIP). When they won, we were running thru the house screaming like two idiots.
US Express was my favorite! I had my VCR all set but forgot to push Rec! I was jumping for joy when they won the belts back, but was quickly saddend when i realised i forgot to push record!
This is awesome. I have this on the old Coliseum video but this is the first time I've seen it here. I was a HUGE mark for the US Express. I was 9 years old and we had just gotten back from our family Summer vacation (Mt. Rushmore) and this was on TV when we got home. I was drinking a Mountain Dew and my dad was yelling at me not to spill it because I was running around the room after the US Express won the belts back.
@Derby14 Thanks man. You were right. I watched the clip again in slightly higher quality. Its hard to believe these tapes used to go for 70 bucks back then. I only wish they had a release of the Dream Team taking the title from them in its entirety somewhere. I have a copy but the video is so poor.
@suspekt29 I agree. That was a huge price to pay for an hour long video in the mid-1980s. Some of those old coliseum videos weren't overly exciting either to justify such a high price. At least they knocked Wrestlemania down to "only" $39.95 right? I remember wanting to buy them as a 10-12 year old kid in that era and my mom wouldn't let me because she thought it was too expensive.
@Derby14 I didnt buy them either. Occassionally someone would get a VHS rip from PPV and I'd watch the heck out of that. Turner Entertainment had the better deals back then. $30 for a NWA VHS tape and $5 shipping and handling.
@Derby14 Lol. Its amazing at the detail of the memories wrestling brings us. I have memories like that. I can remember every detail like that from when Orndorff turned on Hogan. These were the good ol days 4sure.
This video sticks alot..........

Listenng to Bruno Sammartino's commentary, I now think Arnold Schwarzenegger learned English by watching the WWF in the 1970s and 80s.

That was a pretty short match for a title change.

@Lfdjake91 I'd say the WWF wanted Valentine and Beefcake to be the champs so letting Rotundo and Windham win this was just a temporary stepping stone
