hmmm. I'm from Houston. So far I got a ticket from a police officer for Litering. The public has called the police on us several times bc "its rather odd to see up climbing wall instead of drinking I guess", we have been asked dozen of times what we are doing, we have been hated on, laugh at, pick on ... and yet we continue to practice what we love the most.
that makes so much sense when he talks about it on 1.40 to 1.47.
i have been working out for 4 months now and i've decided to take it down a notch bc i have pull my back muscles (out for 2 weeks), pull my righ leg hamstring (out for 1 1/2 weeks), 2 stiches on my hands (out for 3 weeks, .... so started just doing excercise to condition body while having a little fun with parkour. NO BIG JUMPS
@keithtuber No worries dude. I just felt it was strange that you said I was being "defensive" when I was just trying to clarify. Anyways, yeah, Parkour matters to me too. :D Glad we're part of the same community of people. :D Yeah, friends.
@keithtuber Out of all that, you just picked up those two words... Sigh... It's a form of speech - it's what people say - have you never heard it? Anyway, that was a rhetorical question so I don't need an answer from you for that. I think since I've addressed your question, this conversation is pretty much done. Thanks and have a nice day.
@keithtuber Dude, you asked a question. I answered. How is that even "defensive"? I think you're the one being defensive here. If you hadn't been expecting an answer from me, then why even bother to ask? Isn't that the reason people ask questions? To get answers?
@keithtuber It matters because of accuracy. Who knows... Perhaps there's another group called "Yamikasi". These things matter because an inaccuracy in spelling, grammar, pronunciation or any aspect of language can mean a whole lot of difference. It can sometimes even mean life and death. In this case, it just means giving the correct honour to the correct group. I'm a linguist, so sue me.
Good call. I see a split coming in the community. Its okay if u want to get certified but i dont think u should have to. maybe we'll see wat happened in the martial arts ppl rebelling and forming their own styles.

I am sad to see that other groups in the USA are facing the similar problems when facing resistance against others who misunderstand the art.

Btw isn't it spelled "Yamakasi"? In the video it was spelled "Yamikasi". Typo? Or am I wrong?
