when drafting a player make sure that player has "A" potential because as the years progress the play will be the best in the league. I drafted a "A" potential FS from Georgia Tech in the second round and in the next year he was 93 overall.
You said that the pictures for all the rookies are real guys. They actually repeat the pictures a lot during franchise mode. Starts to become annoying because they tend to repeat a lot. Hopefully next years game will have more guys.

I have not watched the video yet but I have played franchise alot and the biggest glitch in it being able to sort the potential of rookie players whilst scouting. Just go into scouting and press "square" or "X" on the potential column and it will order all the rookies in order from best future star to worse. When I do this I can usually draft 4 A potential players in 1 draft. You will find there are alot of rogue rookies that are sitting in the round 5 category.
when you do not simulate games how come in player stats, under games and games started everyone starts, for example a guy who never starts will play 16 games and start 16 even though he hardly played, its annoying can someone help me?? pleaseeeeee

You can always back out of the draft and scroll down to view the scout chart. Remember to ALWAYS sort your draft scouts TWICE! Sorting the scouting report once by projection will give you the lowest ranked projected players first, Sorting the scout chart twice will sort the chart from highest projection to lowest projection. And yes they are sorted correctly even when they are reading a "? projection". You cannot sort this way during the draft, you have to always check back in the scouting repor
I only use the "pro-days scouting" block to find out players stamina. But I often just skip this day altogether.
Individual workouts will unlock ALL-STATS for 5 players. I usually use this to find out where the A-list of players ends. That is I'll scout somewhere between 10-20 players down my A-sorted list to find out when on the list the B-projected players begin on the list. That way I know that anybody I draft on the scout chart above them are A ranked.
When you sort the roster (twice, to get the A rated players on top of your list) you want to do this during the "combine" scouting round.
So now you look at the top players (A overall guys will still have a ? pro-rating) when you scout these guys it will tell you their spd, str, agi, acc, and most importantly their injury rating! I hate having a 99spd 99acc WR with 56 injury!
Here is the tip, and you don't have to scout AT ALL throughout the year.
Well the only players I ever scout before the offseason are linemen and Linebackers (only when I need them).

This is a pretty good tip Ive found out, if you scout every CB who is expected to be a 3rd rounder at least one of them will be a steal. The steal is usually the fastest one. Thumbs up to get people to know about this.

Dude, to get the draft picks you want you need to trade for them BEFORE you do week 17. Once the teams know the draft pick numbers they usually do not trade. I have the 1st overall pick and went 16-0 and won the super bowl. Plus I have 2 picks in rounds 2-4 and they are the first and second picks in those rounds.
Do you have to press something for your players to pregress bacuase im starting the preseason in my second year with the jets and noone of my players got better. There was no player progression screen. I won the superbowl to so they should go up.
@imide the progression screen is in the offseason mode, u have to search for it, its an option after player management, that sucks u missed it, cause no matter what ratings go up on someone

why is it that with spd 99 can be caught from behind with someone who has a spd of 75. FROM BEHIND. wtf devin hester cant run a freakin punt return because the darn cpu is faster all the time. brandon banks has the same problem. Its not fair that the cpu can catch deep passes and keep running when i keep getting caught in a simulation that keeps me from continously running in stride. Its the same problem every year they havent fixed anything just found a better way to hide this weak program.
@maeliki I used to HATE that. Especially because i play with Mike Vick. but all you have to do is go to settings, then go to player threshold. it should be at 50, which mean its way easier for slower players to catch super fast players. set it to 0. it makes the everything fair
for anyone who likes to build teams up, you can get all of the "A" potential players by just sorting them by potential (the arrow should be pointing up) and selecting the first 15-25 players on the list. Do this at the beginning of the season and don't do any more scouting. Now just draft the guys you scouted, and they should all have A potential.

If your salary cap is low, sign your big cap hitters as kickers for 7 year deals. The next year your salary cap will be really high.

a way to get the first overall draft pick ervy year is in the Wild card round of the playoffs, Whether ur in them or not. offer the worst team in the league your 1,3,6 round picks for that year. Take their 1,2,3 rounders for that year. They always take the trade for some wierd reason

Dude, to get the draft picks you want you need to trade for them BEFORE you do week 17. Once the teams know the draft pick numbers they usually do not trade. I have the 1st overall pick and went 16-0 and won the super bowl. Plus I have 2 picks in rounds 2-4 and they are the first and second picks in those rounds.

Do you have to press something for your players to pregress bacuase im starting the preseason in my second year with the jets and noone of my players got better. There was no player progression screen. I won the superbowl to so they should go up.

@imide the progression screen is in the offseason mode, u have to search for it, its an option after player management, that sucks u missed it, cause no matter what ratings go up on someone

It's a massive improvement from last year, but just because a QB is known to scramble sometimes (Vick, Mcnabb), doesn't mean they should run 4 fucking times in a row!

@questionmark3710 You can turn that off I think. Either at the beginning of your franchise or on the controller assignment screen. Not quite sure.

why is it that with spd 99 can be caught from behind with someone who has a spd of 75. FROM BEHIND. wtf devin hester cant run a freakin punt return because the darn cpu is faster all the time. brandon banks has the same problem. Its not fair that the cpu can catch deep passes and keep running when i keep getting caught in a simulation that keeps me from continously running in stride. Its the same problem every year they havent fixed anything just found a better way to hide this weak program.

@maeliki I used to HATE that. Especially because i play with Mike Vick. but all you have to do is go to settings, then go to player threshold. it should be at 50, which mean its way easier for slower players to catch super fast players. set it to 0. it makes the everything fair

for anyone who likes to build teams up, you can get all of the "A" potential players by just sorting them by potential (the arrow should be pointing up) and selecting the first 15-25 players on the list. Do this at the beginning of the season and don't do any more scouting. Now just draft the guys you scouted, and they should all have A potential.
