there's also a "Captain Germany" (Hauptmann Deutschland, who amazingly isn't a villain/nazi) though the only successful Captain other than America is probably Captain Britain (who I personally like a bit more because he's involved with the magic of olde britain, got his powers from Merlyn etc. and his tie-in to Secret Invasion was one of the best by far)

However, they didn't really need to make a whole other superhero to specifically represent those ideals; pretty much every superhero in existence fights for peace and freedom already.

@EnragedPorkchop actually at Timely Publications (Marvels first incarnation) there weren't really that many superheroes around when Cap was created, there were the first Human Torch (a Robot) and Namor (who was more of an anti-hero), and the only other famous superhero who specifically fought for "the american way" at that time was published by DC and wore a big S on his chest, and like I said in another post, Cap was created to fight Hitler and represent the U.S.A. in doing so

Now this kind of super hero would never come into existance, but back then was a diffrent time. Cap remains a cult hit thats why Marvel continue him. And yes I know im overthinking this
