  • Excellent

  • Im so in love with this misic thank you trevor you are a genius !!

  • She was most beautiful queen in this film, most charming and hearty. It was definietly too short thread with her :)

  • This scene would have been perfect if they would have put something over her feet. Idk, something about seeing the bottoms of her bare feet just isn't heavenly :(

  • Jane was too good for Henry... :'(

  • great music but her brother was a complete shit though, my 14xgreat grandfather, Edward Seymour, Lord Hertford, later the Duke of Somerset

  • So... So... So beautiful...

  • @aoz3 i know rigth made me cry too

  • this song is so BEAUTIFUL. i cannot get over it. WOW!

  • best song in the whole series, and best song ive ever heard in a tv show

  • Trevor Morris blew me away with his work on this series.

  • @JHHBeck agree! beautiful songs!!!!!!!!!!

  • You can almost hear Henry's heartbreak in the music. His grief and his love for Jane.

  • Does someone know the lyrics? I've been searching for ages to find them....

  • @Mariekuu

It is pseudo Latin. In otherwords. It's just random words that sound nice, but once translated means nothing.

  • i cannot get over this music. too beautiful.

this is the only time in the series, anyone could feel sympathy for henry.

  • Such beautiful music, absolutely wonderful.

I'd love to know the exact words the choir is singing, is there anyone who can make them out?

  • Why does it make him out to be a young attractive thing man.

He was really fat ugly and a crap leader who was awful for England

  • @flighty1996 when he was young he was every woman's dream he became fat after an injury he got and couldn't do much after it

  • @flighty1996 Because at one point he was young, thin, attractive and very popular King actually. It's only in later life that we gain the stereotype image of the obese tyrant.

  • @pugilistofpower

but at the point when he married these women he was fat ugly and a bad king. Dont let hollywood cover up the truth!

  • @flighty1996 It's not really Hollywood is it? And anyway, I've spent many years studying Tudors times so I don't really need to get my knowledge off of a television series nor let it bother me. None of the actors in this look like the people they are portraying. His wives were all plain looking with some being quite ugly. Whether or not he was a bad King is debatable. He laid the foundations for England to rise up and forge a powerful future without Papal interference and control.

  • @pugilistofpower

well to be honest nobody knows what him or his wives look like as there were no photos and paintings were bias. What we do know is that he was the fat ugly king. The Papal forces would not have full control, look at France that was successfull. He's genrally accepted here in England as a bad King

  • @flighty1996 No, we know he was a thin, handsome, athletic King who later became fat due to injuries to his leg leaving him barely mobile, and also severe head trauma which possibly gave him brain damage and could explain his personality change. The paintings were biased in a way to make the wives look better, which looking at them doesn't say much for the women themselves. Although perception of what beauty is was different in Tudor times. And generally, people are stupid here in England.

  • @pugilistofpower

ok i can tell that you know little about History, i must say. Firstly every king was made out to be like that, so if you believe that he was thin and only became fat because of an injury, you are most wrong. He ate, slept and had sex. For the times the womens paintings were beautiful. Yes they are stupid.

  • @flighty1996 I know a fair bit about history thankyou very much. And Henry enjoyed a very athletic youth. One must only look at his suits of armour from his youth to his later age to see his expanse and weight gain. If you don't know this, then I'd say it's you that hasn't a clue.

  • @pugilistofpower

he was reasonably thin in his teens and early 20's. But after that he was just another pig.

  • @flighty1996 Yeah that's very concise. David Starkey's got nothing on you.

  • @pugilistofpower

no its called multiple research including other factors. Not just believing some series you see on Sky

  • @flighty1996 I doubt you've done any real research other than a google search.

  • @flighty1996 You clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

  • Dumpstermuffin1....Henry lost his moral fiber to marry Anne, he did it for one reason to benefit himself. He murdered Christians to satisfy his lust for power. The church of England is his legacy and it has no moral power to this day. this day

  • The Tudors is really beatiful tv show with great music, love it..

  • TheSweden000.. Women were playing things, used by Henry and their families. He knew full well Anne was to marry Percy, Henry knew this. Women had no value to him, he was a monster.

  • @Jackiezyon Yes. But a monster who was capable to feel passionated love and fiery hate. He could be a monster, full of hatred. And hatred is a very strong feeling.

  • @Jackiezyon He was just too selfish.

  • @Jackiezyon A monster who liberated all of Britain from the Oligrachy of the catholic church. Sure he ruled with an iron fist but in the end it paid off as Britain had more liberties and his daughter Elizabeth ended up creating a massive empire. He was probably one of the better british monarchs, almost as great as richard the lionheart and Edward the confessor

  • The person Henry VIII care about was himself, Jane personality was much like Catherine. The only difference is she gave him the son he desired.

  • @Jackiezyon You're talking of Henry like he was a man without feelings. That is not true. Yes, he was cruel, yes, he was unfair, but he had feelings. It was feelings that made him want to marry/execute/divorce his queens. You say the only thing he was thinking of was to have a son. Yes, that was a major part, but not the only part. He loved all of his wives, except maybe Anne of Cleves. And most of his wives, he came to hate. Henry hated fiercely, and he loved fiercely. Is that not feelings?

  • @TheSweden000 I fully agree with you. I understand his desire a son. This desire was reason the downfall of some his wives. But he believed that if he haven't a son his dinasty would end in failure and he couldn't permit it. Definitely Henry had feelings like other people but he was victim of his status and couldn't show it.

  • I think Jane was Henry's light and love, and he never recovered after losing her. I don't know if it was real love he felt for the three last wives. I don't think so.

Poor Queen Jane, rest in peace.

  • @TheSweden000 I personally cannot see Henry waiting 7 years for Jane, like he did with Anne. I believe Jane was just in the right place at the right time. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I am just sharing mine.

  • @roxylulu1 I believe anne was in the right place at the right time too. i think henry would have waited that long for any woman if it was to get out of his first marriage.. he wanted and needed a son. and he knew he wasn't getting anywhere with catherine.

  • @roxylulu1 Do you mean that he waited 7 years to have sex with Anne? That says something else to me. To me it says that he was so desperate about having sex with her that he was ready to do whatever it would take. And to me, that's not a good thing. To me, it just means that he was horny. A major part of Anne's and Henry's marriage was sexual desire and lust. Henry's and Jane's marriage was to me just pure love. I don't want to offend anyone, it's just what I think.

  • this piece is so pure... I love how it tells of Henry's loss. it's true one actually feels with him though he does not deserve it...

I feel like this song embodies everything Jane Seymour symbolized to Henry, kindness, hope, a refuge from a mad world. And when she die, she took everything.

  • Trevot Morris is the best compositor actually.

  • @Colorkkey nah he's good but hans zimmer is out of this world

  • i'm crying. Trevor Morris: you amazing man

  • This is proof of how touching music can be....absolutely incredible....the choir is amazing

  • There are no words to express how beautiful this piece is. The diminished seventh chords and excessive use of dissonance really express this piece in ways that words cannot!

  • "it's a howling wilderness without you!"...moarning for a beloved one,...-don't we all know what that feels like!?-this was one of my favourite parts of the tudors-series!-and it was as well one of the few moments within my feelings of sympathy and compassion for the reckless king henry!...

  • Music begins where words end. This makes me truly speechless.

  • This is what music should reallly be; a truly emotional experience. This piece is absolutely incredible, huge respect to Trevor Morris :)

  • This piece is soooo amazingly beautiful

  • I CAN'T BELIEVE TWO PEOPLE ACTUALLY DISLIKE THIS !

  • one of my faverte peaces of music from the tudors sound track

  • i love this song makes me cry poor henry

  • I LOVE IT <3

  • This is so beautiful, i love it!!

  • as soon as i hear the first notes in this piece of music, tears spring to my eyes.

  • Did anyone else feel like a sibling died when then show was over? I finished it 3 weeks ago and I am still so sad.

  • @ckilla111 THIS*

  • Trevor Morris paints SUCH a beautiful painting with his music. Literally. His hands are the brush and the strings, percussion, brass, etc. are the colors which he uses. I don't know much about the show itself, but just reading the title and hearing the music has told me SO much about Henry and Jane's relationship. I can feel the pain and the loss in the song and I think that's a very rare quality few composers have. To paint a picture like Trevor does. Bravo my friend.

  • Excellent! I think these moments of the soundtrack are some of the best of the entire show! Thanks for sharing! :)

  • Simply OUTSTANDING!

  • I just heard this today... It has become my most beloved scene and song in the show "The Tudors". I cried along with Henry. It was that moving, that sad, and yet so beautiful, so true. The love those two had...was truly a blessing and it was so sad to see it go--to see Henry's "light in his dark, dark world" go. =(

  • It's beautiful <3

  • A super intense song! The scene is heartbreaking!

    Thank you so much!! *-*

  • i love this song...!!

  • this is so sad... but, I think at 1:33, when the choir start to sing, it is the theme of "a beautiful mind"!! could be? it´s so similar!!

  • @SophieCullen94 That's what I thought the first time I heard it but nope it's just really similar! :)

  • @SophieCullen94

I agree. Trevor Morris's music is wonderful throughout the entire TV series, but this beautiful theme has a certain resemblance to "A Beautiful Mind" by composer James Horner, and perhaps religious echoes the music of Hovhaness. Greetings from Spain. An excellent series, and a great actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers ... :-)

  • @SophieCullen94

You are so right omg! I just listened to it and it's very very similar....................however this one i think is more beautiful because it has such a woeful tone to it.

  • what the name from this song? i love it so much!!!!

  • @NadznRS it says on the title

  • this never fails to give me goosebumbs.

  • @Egapigen

hey I've been wondering about that, too ! must be old englisch or latin or something like that... sometimes they sing "amor", like "Love" I think... but not too sure

  • This piece is just too beautiful, because of it i can't seem to not tear-up on that amazing scene

  • 2:03 gave me goosebumbs.. this is beyond art itself.

  • someone could pass me this song, I can not find anywhere. = P

  • Stunning!

  • I would give anything to have this song played in the background as I die with my husband/loved one saying the exact same things Henry said in the show. What a way to go.

  • i just can't listen it... it's so beautiful but.. i just can't bear to hear it.. it's too beautiful..
