They just keep it, because it's a very expensive painting. The difference between Raffaelo's Mona Lisa and Leonard's is that Leonardo's doesn't have any eyebrows.
And if you didnt notice..they told you to stop filming hehe...at the last seconds theres a lady saying NON, PAS DE CAMERAS. I know french very well and speak it extremely fluently, but you dont have to know french to understand that.
I go there every year in summer vacations (age 14) but in the last two years they did not let me FILM OR TAKE VIDS. I was like ..hm.. thats wierd and if you saw the Papyrus artwork expo .. beautiful right?
I was there 2 days ago, returned from France yesterday. They let you take pictures with flash and videos of all the artwork. There's a temporary exhibition of an Eygptian papyrus where you can't take photos. Everywhere else, no restrictions. I wonder if the flashes won't damage the artworks.
how in the world they let them use a camera in front of that painting? incredible. The french need to increase security there. Although it's nice to watch those things on your tube, the truth is that crazy dudes might not have the same respect inside that room.
imagine: 500 years old picture taking by one of the most famous people of all time, still sitting at the museum and watching us .
amazing

It's well known that this is Raffaello's painting. He was Leonardo's student. The real Mona Lisa is hidden bellow Paris. We learned that in art classes.

I do not think so .Art can not be hidden from.

I believe that flashes can damage the artworks. It even damages the human retina..
