My bf and I got the game for Christmas for ourselves and my son is being exposed to a variety of music he might not hear otherwise. We got Beatles Rock Band and plan to get Green Day when it comes out this year. Guitar Hero, etc. is becoming a great way to spread music and artists are recognizing that by using it to promote new albums. Get with the times and stop whining that video killed the radio star.

As for guitar hero, as a guitarist I can say that it's good for kids with absolutely no talent or inclination. For a young (or even older) person who might otherwise have hope of picking up a real guitar, it can easily ruin the necessary skills. Other than that, keep on wiggling your switches and have fun.
