cant the govt or private sector get their act together enough to give loans or handouts to entrepreneurs with good ideas to get businesses started and create jobs? maybe with a profit sharing deal prior so they can just get some money to get up running, create jobs n get the economy growing n rising again!?

alot of people r saying the stats for december and the last few months, if not even longer, r just rigged. infact wot is really happening is people are running out of their unemployment benefit, then the g-men say unemployment has fallen, when in reality its benefit payouts that have fallen, and they just say well those people must not be unemploed anymore.

TRUE FACTS as per DofL, anybody can find them on their website: "The unemployment rate fell by 0.4 percentage point to 8.6 percent in November, and nonfarm payroll employment rose by 120,000" but then "The number of unemployed persons, at 13.3 million, was down by 594,000 in November".
The secret of this unexpectedly good 8.6% unemployment # for Nov is: 594,000 - 120,000 = 474,000 UNEMPLOYED ppl who in Nov simply STOPPED looking for work, for official stats those ppl count as... "employed".
If you think these aren't doctored figures then you're living in OZ. The US has been fudging ALL stats for many decades. The real unemployment rate in the US is about 23% according to TRULY independent sources. Don't fall for the same old propaganda bull.

They never said these numbers here gave a true unemployment rate. They're just used for trends in employment. One number is a payroll / jobs added number. Another number is based on a household survey. The Govt. has the real numbers for total people employed, but economists don't use them for month to month reports.
The GOP wouldn't give Obama an ounce of credit regardless. The fact of the matter is, Obama has added jobs to the economy for like 21 months straight. The problem is the people that are just starting out entering the workforce. Wait till the GOP take over, then you'll get to measure Obama the right way. Anyone that thinks the GOP are going to create jobs by spraying pesticides in our waterways, letting 200,000 boilers & incinerators spew mercury & other toxic waste etc. have rocks in their head.
