  • Wait...is there anyway for Microsoft to fill in the gaps of the cloud with polygons, then texture it with the actual photos from that perspective? No more spending hours on modeling or using multi-million dollar scanning equipment!!!!

  • Tell us more about how you got such a clean and detailed surface out of meshlab, whenever I try to make a 100k + conversion it just crashes and crashes :(

  • nice but it's such a travesty that photosynth doesn't allow this itself. who cares about the fluff flipbook nonsense. that's for iphone users. give us the damn 3D already

  • thanks!!

  • How to I mesh the cloud now?

  • how about skinning the rocks, with the picts of the rocks? photoreal!

  • Круто конешно но нахуя.В максе те же камни воспроизвести по фотке проще ,быстрее,качественнее и интереснее.Хотя не бесперспективная технология.ПОживем увидем.

  • Кол-во гемора при создании одной модели зашкаливает

  • Wonderful for the archaeologists! I'm gonna see if I have enough photos from field school to do this.

  • I'm on a horse.

  • too bad it takes 450 pictures of rocks to do that

  • HOLY SHITE, IT'S A PILE OF ROCKS!!!

  • ENHANCE!

  • perfect reference...!

  • @davidmartin7777 spoken like someone who's never had to model a pile of rocks!

  • nope, it's a pile of bollox...which rox!

  • What software do you use to make Sketch like that?

  • don't fuck with Microsoft =)

  • Thank you very much.

  • Is there a way to obtain the image plane transforms so you can project textures onto the 3d model?

  • Now we just need to be able to photosynth multiple video cameras together, and we'll have consumer 3D capture.....

  • wow

  • LOL @ the music! What is this mission impossible?

  • That's pretty awesome. How soon till you can extract texture information from the original photographs?

  • Very nice use of photosynth. I am going to try this out! Thank you for sharing.

  • Well done but can you tell us what you used to generate a surface from the point cloud?

  • Great job! Do you have a Meshlab tutorial or link, where i can learn the basic functions? I have a nice pointcloud of a statue. 178.000 points :) But this Meshlab seems to be difficult for me.

  • AWSOME!
