I've been messing around with this game, and it's fantastic! I've really only learned some 6 hit combos, and i'm still getting used to the system. Not really liking the infinite combos though, but that's to be expected. Capcom and balanced fighting games don't mix.
They should make an up to date version of this. It's not like Capcom have anything to lose seeing as they always seem to make about a thousand versions of their games.

Is the character that does the combo, human player does nothing, is ain't street fighter or MVC.
Example: Morrigan : Deep crescenodo is a 4 hit combo, Final shower is 18 hits, Darkness Illusion is 24 hits. As observed, from 5:17, 5:23 and 5:24, What you can do is to link them together and follow by the "Chase" ex move that is down arrow + any kick button, At 5:11, the Chase Ex moves is a 6~8 hits.
Henceforth, this game need high level of planning to link up the moves

It alters one EX move for every character in some way.
What's the difficulty like in Darkstalkers? Does it have a learning curce akin to Street Fighter? I heard the PSP version was easy, this kinda put me off.
well it's pretty easy once u master ur character depending on who u play with i prefer talbain he's the werewolf he has two version nightwarriors and normal his nightwarriors mode is pretty cool he glows and his moves are a lot more powerful especially his dragon cannon. but its not really a pain in the ass unless u play it on 8 star's and then ur in for a challenge dude...i only have problems sometimes on level 8 against sasquatch and demitri their AI is extremly hard!

I think it's deep because of the amount of strategy that lies within the game. It's not heavily tier based, like Marvel, and it's just so complex to doall of the advanced things like this video shows.
Easily one of the deepest games you will ever play that was made by Capcom. For my money it's the deepest Capcom Fighter.

Darkstalkers is one of the most under-rated 2D fighters out their. And Ono, the producer of SF4, has stated in an issue of EGM that he's interested in reviving both the Darkstalkers and the Marvel vs Capcom series. IF SF4 is successful. HOPEFULLY, he'll keep the game 2D, with 2D, hi-res sprites. Not like that 2.5D garbage they're calling SFIV.
Nice combo video, but some of them would appear to not be able to be done as the AI on hard, or a human player wouldn't allow you to do a 50 something (or higher) combo. I know from my own experience in fighting games, even if I wasn't the best, I would still hold off a quick death, or a humiliating defeat. :)
several darkstalkers re-releases have come and gone in japan, including the dreamcast and ps2. the reason they're not released in US is because darkstalkers isn't popular enough and it wouldn't sell. so basically, there's no sense in expecting a "remake for the next gen": there's been several already, and they've failed to make it to the US. :(

Here my reply to: How to you hit them, when they fall on their back. Is call a Pursuit Move.
How to do that: Immediately, after when the opponents fall, hold the down button and any kick button together.
For the EX moves of the Pursuits Attack, down button and 2 of the kick button.

At 12:, 28~29, Lillith had the miss the Change Ex Moves. It can only be done, is the opponent is down on the floor.
This move is my one of my personal favorite. Is like, after you had floored someone, you went and continue to give it to them,chasing after them.

it is, it's incredible with tons of flavorful characters, animations, moves, and skills that can be used.

several darkstalkers re-releases have come and gone in japan, including the dreamcast and ps2. the reason they're not released in US is because darkstalkers isn't popular enough and it wouldn't sell. so basically, there's no sense in expecting a "remake for the next gen": there's been several already, and they've failed to make it to the US. :(

Bleetness is right. This crazy video is very old. Temptation (Japanese Darkstalkers site) release it in 2003, but this video is more old than 2003.
