The USS Juneau, Dubuque, GermanTown, Fort McHenry, Belleau Wood, Bonhomme Richard, and of course USS Frederick the last of the old LST's, all the ships I rode an AAV off of, or watched as part of ships platoon.

Last time I was doing this on this ship (USS "Plushmore") It was in a Zodiac..
Gawd...what a pain in the ass..and str8 up scary coming back aboard in heavy swells...Our Corpsman was our coxain...and pretty damn good at it...
BUt coming at the ramp and timing it right is tricky...and kindacreeeepy at night...LOL..
