  • Nice! Brings back memories, Bravo CO 1/5 and AAV's were our transport. Keep your head down while floating in the water and your just fine! lol From 1996 - 2000, on board quite a few different ships. The USS Juneau, Dubuque, GermanTown, Fort McHenry, Belleau Wood, Bonhomme Richard, and of course USS Frederick the last of the old LST's, all the ships I rode an AAV off of, or watched as part of ships platoon.

  • 3rd Tracks, Bravo Co. maint plt 95-98...  i miss this sooooo much...... did splashes from the Tarawa, Ft. Mchenry, Denver, Dubuque, Harpers Ferry...... miss my YAT-YAS brothers......

  • Last time I was doing this on this ship (USS "Plushmore") It was in a Zodiac..

    Gawd...what a pain in the ass..and str8 up scary coming back aboard in heavy swells...Our Corpsman was our coxain...and pretty damn good at it...

    BUt coming at the ramp and timing it right is tricky...and kindacreeeepy at night...LOL..
