His job isn't to flatter every person that prepares food for him, or to pretend that EVERY food that he comes in contact with is amazing and delicious, but rather to be candid and honest and express HIS personal feelings for what he is doing.

Obviously the people serving him the food don't find it insulting, because in almost every case they have a good chuckle when Andrew struggles to stomach what they are serving.

@deadlybishop ...and another benefit is that by him not liking something that the natives clearly enjoy or tolerate without problem because they have to shows the beauty of the cultural differences of the world, and that is one of the main goals of this show. Something that may not be enjoyed in America can be loved in other countries...Andrew Zimmern is American, and so obviously his palate is going to be unused to certain foods from other countries. Why should he lie about what he likes?
