Still today in Amazon people are making these. Global warming making more mountain snow caps run off into Amazon rivers and flood remote villages. Deforestation = less absorption.

Indians live in India & Native Americans live in North America. How can "Native Americans" & "Indians" be the same when they reside on different pieces of land that are not connected in any way. Plus Columbus thought he was in India and called the Native Americans Indians. If Im wrong please correct me with proof & evidence.

In the 1400's... there was no country named India ..that name is modern ..the area we call India was called Hindustan during that time..almost all Europeans held the mistaken opinion that the aquatic expanse between Europe and Asia was uninterrupted...however in his writings he wrote of the "Children of God" or "Indios" in the late 1400's Italian/Spanish dialect he spoke...this term was the probable link to the later "Indian" phase...another example how historical tradition often slurs truth....
