  • i bet if you sunk it it would find flammable molucules in the seawater and still run

  • @10yroldcarlover Of course, it's a Briggs!

  • chug chug chuggachug chug chug chuggachug

    BEST. SOUND. EVAR.

  • ..........WD40...............do it.

  • good vid--did you instal the engine??..whats the gearbox on it? what size prop r u running?

  • why is there a pice of pepporni sitting in the bottom of the boat at 1.12?

  • u have litle bit too much oil in there =/

  • @amiskomulainen69 no, the engine sits at an angle, and the oil was filled to max when it was out of the boat, that's why.

  • @kiarra00 I love this boat. Any idea where I could find a gearbox similar to the one you have there? I've been shopping around, and I can't find a small transmission like that anywhere, at any price. Do you know if anyone still makes small gearbox units like that? Personally, I think small boats with simple drive trains would sell commercially where reliability is a must. I have an outboard powered boat, but I never feel secure with the thing, in situations where failure in not an option.

  • @memphisapplegate It's not excatly a gearbox, it's a prop angle adjuster, there are no gears inside it, it just pushes on a shaft inside the driveshaft that moves the propeller blades, to make it go reverse, different speeds and neutral. I don't know where you can get one of these, because mine was in the boat when i got it.

  • How fast is this thing when it's at full throttle ? I'd like to see it running at full throttle.

  • hey how did u the drive line throught the boat with out water comin in u should make a vid of it showing it

  • 0:26 i name this boat "deepwater horizon"

  • that oil is black!! did u ever change it??

  • Great vid. man. I would check the oil for gasoline. It looked like the needle valve has been leaking gas into carb. Past the rings into the oil. BTW, I am from the center of New York state in the states. Like your channel.

  • Some WD-40 could loosen up that throttle control I bet.

  • Do you know how i can find out what hp my briggs is? I got it from a friend it had no shroud and recoil , i need to order in parts but not sure the model or hp.... Could you help me out? I posted a video response to your vid.

  • A little of the oil you let pour out of the engine on that throttle lever maybe?

  • That engine looks marine. Very nice engine

  • whoa whoa whoa, steering wheel with a sprocket and chain underneath? Lawnmower trans? how do u have that thing rigged up to the prop?

  • i think that engine might have a bad rod.although it could be another noise.

  • Unreal - cast iron Briggs run for ever well almost lol - u have a really good old cast iron 16 hp to sell? Wait where u live shipping could brake some one can not find them here in the us I have a Rare 1971 homelite garden tractor one of only 200 made need stock engine?

  • sorry, I don't have any cast iron briggs engines, I live in Norway and those cast iron engines are vary rare around here.

what engine is on your homelite? I don't think i have one, but I just want to know.

  • @playtimel the 1971 homelite is rare only 200 made i have 4 of them all mint well one has rust on it but still

  • Awesome. lol

  • Those engines will do just about anything

  • to kill a briggs is an almost impossible feat.

  • That's pretty cool, I've never seen a boat with an engine setup like that!

  • No, it's pretty cool! The boat had a english made JAP engine when i bought it, but it had constant problems, so i put in this engine from a snow blower i had sitting, and the engine works very good in this boat!

  • sweet.

  • Of couse, it's a JAP engine what do you expect oh no wait wait wait wait it's just Honda motors not Toyotas or Mitsubishis hahaha that was supposed to be a joke.

  • Ohhhh, you got me in the nose with the exaust, cough cough :P I agree with what others said about smooth low idle, it really seems like a good running engine and seems to propell the boat well as seen in your previous vids. Thanks for sharing

    PEace :)

  • fuck u termy

  • Awesome! you should reward that engine by giving it an oil change, looks like it could use one ^^

  • Yeah! you´re right the oil is pretty bad, although i changed it this summer, some water gets in it, and the engine is driven a lot, so it gets bad pretty fast. So i´m gonna put some new oil in it this winter!

  • has a nice smooth low idle. good to know you have a reliable ol' briggs to keep you movin in the water. wouldn't wanna get stuck out there! lol

  • No, i wouldn´t wanna get stuck out there!

But the briggs has never stopped for me, so: gotta love your old Briggs & stratton!

  • that is a cool boat! looks like the same brigs i have in my snow blower.

  • nice!! briggs are awesome! I like your boat btw ;)

  • you can always depend on your briggs, thats for sure

  • Oh yes, that´s for sure! This engine has been used on a snow blower for 30 years, and on my boat for 3 years, no rebuild or anything, starts every time and just keeps on running, that's why i love briggs and have over 50 of them!

  • good old Briggs
