OMFG!!! Led Zeppelin, the best rock and roll band EVER!!!!!!! Thank you SO much for downloading this!! I saw them live in Greensboro, NC in 1975: the best concert EVER!!!
i love these outtakes, ya like someone said they are so raw and rocking.... Phys Graf is such an awesome album.....Bottom Line they are greatest band ever.....
In response to no1tlfan, because....those are their popular songs as per a "commercial audience" is concerned....thats what "popular music" is all about....what the "masses" like.....and thats what makes the root of all evil.....money
Physical graffiti is the first Led Zeppelin album I heard. I am not old enough to see them live but the first time I saw Page and Plant in 1998 they opened with this number. G-- DAMMIT I LOVE LED ZEPPELIN!!!!
Physical graffiti is the greatest album ever made hands down. Fuck Seargent Pepper. Physical graffiti is the White album without faggot Paul McCartney songs.
Yeah!!! Now that's what I'm talking about. This is a great opportunity for us Zep fans to hear them create 1 of their best songs on PG. I love how they just started jamming to get the feel of how the song will go before they decided what they liked best. Thank you for sharing this rare treasure with us. Much, MUCH appreciated!!!
This is soooooo good! Its raw, its brilliant. Its great to hear these guys at work. The Wanton Song is so underrated. It should be up there in the pantheon of LedZep greats.
Wow. "A Tribute To Johnny Kid and the Pirates" was missing for three years. I thought someone stole it. But then someone gave it back to me today and said,"You left this at my house 3 years ago." Then I remembered I did. Anyway, I'm so happy. Long live Led Zeppelin.
Don't know if anyone notices Jimmy Page and Larry Coryell in the 70's sounded similar in style when they had open jams..This jam reminds me of a LC jam.
Reasons why I say that is I have a huge collection of both Page and Coryell recordings and at times I hear a similiarity in their playing techniques..especially "Jam with Albert"
When Plant and Page came back in 95 and 98 they opened with The Wanton Song, then went into Celebration Day. Saw them in Chicago. In 98 Dennis Rodman came out during encore and gave Page a bulls champ. hat which he wore during the encore.
@klipsch540 How is it a freak like Dennis Rodman gets to be on stage with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page; yet, there are REAL fans out there who will never in their lifetime get within 10 feet of them.
Because the Bulls won an were the NBA champs that year at the arena Plant and Page were playing at. It was arranged before hand. When your famous you get more pull. Heck, I wish I would've been up there. I missed the first time they came to chicago in 95 because I was paralyzed during a back surgery 3 weeks before. My friend played some songs over his cell for me though while i was in rehab.
way more fun to listen to than the actual song lol

Same crappy guitar settings Page used on every stage he played. Too bad they played at a time without a proper engineer and proper gear.
TruthAxe 9 months ago
@TruthAxe You gotta be kidding. There are some things you can criticise Page for, tone is not one of them.

Way cool. Keep in mind, this was recorded/performed a year (or more) before Physical Graffiti was released, if the date is correct...

TiagoRib93 11 months ago
@JamesTKirkCobain He's one of the best song writers ever. All the bands that came after the Beatles owe a lot to them.

Very sweet funky rockish sound.
This quartet was extraordinarily awesome and limitless to their creativity.
Pioneers, leaders of all great bands that followed.
