Whats your point Rambling? From the mid 80s till 2003 a barrel of oil averaged 25. All it took was an invasion to catapult that price to 98 by 2007.

Bush even said in January of 06 that America is addicted to oil but failed to address it. When gas was 3 Bush was asked about gas going to 4. He looked puzzled and said I haven't heard that. In other words the Republicans had no clue in spite of the available evidence that we were in crisis. Thats what happens when you sleep with the oil industry
