  • no, its all plastic surgery on his face. You can just tell there was change. In some pictures you can see scars below his ear that are symmetrical, which leads to be surgery incisions. He also had his nose straightened and possibly much other things. But in some news reels you could tell its John. As for the brown eyes, when you die post pigments in the eye also die, which causes the eyes to darken and change color. Plus one bullet exited under is eye, which would cause facial differences.

  • A doc called Real Crimes here on youtube is a more informative and conclusive vid of Dillinger. I think its around part 3.

  • The lack of detailed scars and brown eyes instead of green convinces me he got away.

  • anna is a snitch!!! ugh can't stand her!!!!!!!!

  • all this only 34 years of age? Dilligner was a real gangstar lol

  • So how did he end up with brown eyes?

  • Would have been a nice twist to the story if in fact it hadnt been Dillinger the F.B:I. had shot but a scape goat but i dont think that is the case !

  • wow this is fucking great to watch when u live 20 min outside of warsaw like i do ha i love john dillinger my great grandpas best friend was in his gang

  • J, Edgar Hoover, what a twat. The only thing he did was find a way to kill many innocent people, while failing at catching the real Dillinger.

  • Very good doc, like him or hate him he was a smart guy and was only caught by being set up.R.I.P

  • 3:49 "dilliger and homer van nigger???" lmao

(i know that aint what he said...but sounds like it)

  • Brillant footage seems to me the cops shot more civilians than john.RIP.

  • John Dillinger died just like the Government said!

  • @morttis So you think the real dillinger is still alive? well....not alive...but never died that night lol.

  • excellent job on videos.

  • @gtk4158a where did you find that out?

  • @aahuggett the irony is that the police chasing him across the country killed more people than he ever did

  • good documentary some of the facts were not correct but it was good. if that last part is correct about his eyes then i kinda hope he got away. he deserved it after all that hard work. bullets flying past you and always sleeping with one eye open cannot be fun. good job john dillinger. i like you.

  • Anna Sage might not have even ratted Dillinger out.

He had grey eyes, but the body had brown eyes

  • Anna didn't sell John out for the money, they were going to deport her.

  • take your medicine son

  • i just got a tattoo of this great legend. long live John Dillinger.

  • @vampireinlove100 did your dad leave your mum when you was a young child?

  • @aahuggett why the fuck you care faggot, get the fuck out of here.

  • John Dillinger was like some kind of personification of vengence against the institutions which caused the Wall Street Crash. Good, or bad , he was significant and public feeling at the time was on his side for a reason. The Fed wanted him because he was robbing from rich people. The people loved him for the same reason.

  • Hee shouldd havee waitedd fo billie tuhh qett outt andd movee somewheree far for they could die toqethaa hee really lovedd herr they said when she qot arrested she he wanted to save her but his friends tolled himm no kusz he will die in the rescuee and that he satrted to cryy aww he was in love

  • Ivee alwaysz lovee dillinqerr and hiss storyy he's lik no other american gangster o public enemy he was kind and carrin and he hatee tuhh hurt peoplee I'm not jst sain butt his chik billie said tha same he is the gratest thinq in history in my opinion

  • Very well done, now I like him even more, John aint got no business going to the picture show.

  • Very well done, now I like him even more,

  • well, i just had a chilled gallon of drpepper with dillinger last friday! i told him not to go to the theater, but he didn´t want to listen, and so i ended up bringing him to 2011 in order to save his life. he´s now asleep, and tomorrow we´re going to feed some european red squirrels. yay! you know, the real fun part is, that all those people in the whole documentary are dead by today. even that fake ass police officer at 1:00. the 30´s we´re very boring. people did probably smell like a cougar!

  • @aahuggett But at least we know correct spelling & grammar. aahuggett, "you're" such an idiot.

  • @yakidk89

lol, your is correct when referring to a group, such as a group of idiots. 'You're such idiots' makes less sense.

    lmao

  • @aahuggett

He was a great man and didnt deserve to be taken down the way he was.

YOU should be shot for saying that we fans of his are idiots. I bet you all my life savings that you aint got the BALLS to do what he did. If what he did was still able to be done, I'd single your ass out as my first victim you pompous little fuck.

  • @aahuggett shut up dipwad, he was probably better at what he did than you are at what you do now

  • @sarfory123 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

go punch your mum for sleeping with all the strange guys she brings home

  • @aahuggett YOUR A FUCKIN CUNT BURN IN HELL

  • @aahuggett YOUR A FUCKIN CUNT BURN IN HELL

THEY SHOOT HIM WITHOUT WARNING AND MOST LIKELY PLANTED THE PISTOL

YOU HAVE NO CONCEPT OF LIFE.

  • so the FED'S open up on 3 cars with innocent people in them, killin some dude? WTF...... sounds like Waco & Ruby Ridge..... "feeding frenzy" kill-kill-kill KILL THEM ALL, anything that moves!........... fucking people

  • when he tried to run he tripped on his penis

  • he was government enemy

    not a public enemy

  • @mastahlone well said!

  • he's a criminal, do you really want to give credit to this status?

  • He didnt want the peoples money, he just wnated the banks.

  • @WhAtZCrAcKiNN You idiot where do you think the banks get their money. From the people that are not too sorry to work for a living

  • HAha I love how when Dillinger needed guns he would go to the police station. Balls.

  • @brybry19871987 You go where the guns are.The same you rob banks. Go where the money is

  • He was also supposed to have a large penis, which some say is preserved in the Smithsonian.

  • @ChurchOfKali66619 ahahahahaha thats awesome

  • Although john dilinger was a criminal, he waas a symbol in a way. A man can die and be forgotten but a symbol can move on and last forever. I see dilinger as a symbol not of corruption and evil, i see him as a symbol of freedom. he was free from the governmental laws that reign over this country and he lived life to the fullest. so he might of been a criminal... but that's not always a bad thing.

  • @xretardedxgenius98 I love for what you said man

  • Shut up GemGem you leg of pork, I can smell your cheese dick from here, please do something with that, yea muppet.

  • None of these guys are heroes, but im fascinated by them nonetheless cause they had the guts to live and die the way that they wanted to instead of going to some soul-destroying job that they hate for 30 years, only to lose their health insurance and die in debt!People are fascinated by serial killers too and theyre horrible people as well.

  • You live by the gun, you're going to die by the gun.

  • @lildwayne21 BULLSHIT! Tell that to Martin Luther King. And many more innocent unarmed people shot by police! You better live by the gun, at least you have a fighting chance!

  • What a man! I've gotten the same haircut, brought a picture of dillinger to the hair saloon :)

  • he was nothin but a thief

  • you live by the sword you die by it. he was a bum.

  • He was a hero in the way that so many people at that time were living in deplorable conditions. The government was spending money on catching Bank robbers first and foremost with many other criminal orgs making way more money and killing many more people. He lived any way he wanted and no jail could hold him. He was a famous outlaw and loved by most of the public because they were all poor and he was doing what they wished they could ..stealing from the rich to avoid starvation and misersy.

  • i bet you Dillinger got away and they used that guys body for evedince

  • It probably wasn't his body. He made the authorities look stupid for years, why would he stop there?

  • i like how u ended it with him laughing nice

  • Totally fascinating look into a bygone era. I wonder who historians in 75 years will consider the public enemy number one from our time. Maybe someone on Wall Street, operating within the "law".

  • all i can say is.........dese boys are bad!!!!........tommy guns and all.......girls and money

    ting souns like a movie.

no wonder dillinger's is always smiling.

  • Nope that wasn't him on the slap. He had blue eyes, this guy had brown. Anna Sage was anger because the FBI agent Puris won't not give her immunity from deportation. So, she flipped and set up this guy whoever he is. Then Puris quit his post, and J.E Hoover erased anything he did off all the FBI records. That was a punishment for not getting Dillinger and they to do a COVER UP to the America public, a big fat lie.

    Someone should fine Anna Sage.

  • the dead body at the end looks weird

  • This documentary is so innaccurate.

  • @MafiaWars23 i agree, this documentary gives inaccurate vague info, that is disputed by historians, and presents it as fact. Nobody knows whether or not he even had plastic surgery. the fed just came up with that later because everybody who viewed the body knew it wasn't dillinger lol...even his close family, his own father said that it wasn't him. the truth is that theres a pretty good chance this girl, friend of dillingers, set a guy up to get the real dillinger off the hook. cold blooded tho

  • dillinger was a BEAUT!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @jodisweetie

What is the point of comparing such apples to oranges, I ask? Really...do you know anything about Dillinger other than what you just watched, here, and have maybe seen in the movies? Ted Bundy, are you kidding me?

  • @babyjacqbox ok fine, he was probably a really nice guy.... happy? :-)

  • @jodisweetie

Sure, why not. Ted Bundy may also have been a "nice guy"...but he was just extremely sick and did awful, unforgivable things that I'm sure would have horrified Dillinger. So yes, I am happy, and didn't really want to get into a huge debate over this, anyway ^_~.

  • @babyjacqbox no I agree, sorry I didn't mean it THAT way I came across sarcastic- anyway cheers :-)

  • @KWFurlong.....You are a fucking idiot. He might be alive today???? He was born in 1903....I doubt he would have lived to be 107 years old

  • im john dillinger

  • yea can i have a blumpkin???

  • LMAOOOO

  • More testimony of how our immigration laws need to be better enforced. If Anna Sage had been deported sooner, JD might be alive today.

  • To see footage of John Dillinger laughing, as shown in the final seconds of this clip, is priceless. It reminds me that behind the legend, headlines and hype was a man - real and tangible. Thank you.

  • WOMAN SHERIFF!

  • the man is slick witt it

  • ambush is the only way they could even think about catching these guys with guts.and all these bad guys went down in History as heros. how many people in the soup lines back than could say that?or the ones who was starving to death? it was a the great depression

  • police shoot the hostages, nice guys, hehehehehe. you shoot the bad guys not the good guys.hehehehehehe

  • for the mafia, it was power, a want for respect, greed and fear that motivated them,

and for John Dillinger, as i have already explained, it was BUSINESS and MONEY that motivated him,

i'm not trying to argue with you,

i'm just trying to prove a point in a view that most normal people would understand,

in order to understand why the do the things they do, you have to know them on a personal level,

you have to think the way they think

  • i am being locical in a philocophical way,

ever criminal has a cerain motivation for the things that he /she /they do(es),

i've explained Dillinger and his motives to you,

if you would actually TRY to UNDERSTAND it the it would make perfect sense to someone like you,

for Ted Bundie, it was pain that motivated him,

for Jeffery Dahmer, it was sexual excitement that motivated him,

for Ed Giene, it was sexual thrill and hunger that motivated him,

  • so why didnt they open his eyes and c wht color they where

  • dammit boi sounds like he aint dead PUBLIC FRIEND 2 ME NOT NO ENEMY

  • ditto,

hell Dillinger made all the bad guys loomk like heros',

he was one of the greatest men who ever lived,

no matter what crimes he committed,

he wasa gentleman to all who knew him and a close friend to his gang

  • you gotta admire this guy

tho I don't believe it was him shoot that night!

  • yeah admire the murderous thief. Dubzzzzz is an idiot.

  • i do,

    yea, me either,

if the colors of the eyes of the man who was shot were brown and Dillinger's eyes were a steely-gray then int couldn't have been him who was shot,

so that means Dillinger lived!! =D

  • and the fact that you tards think that he somehow wasnt the one who died shows how fanatical and stupid you really are.

  • nobody is saying he didn't die,

all we're saying is "IT'S POSSIBLE!!"

  • he wasnt the one who killed just becuause of no reason, u want someone who did? baby face nelson was the crazy one, dillinger had respect and didnt waste time killing like that

Like many people back then he was desperate and found the easiest solution for him and his jail friends robbing. Besides, dont think there wasnt corruption in the money. Technically he didnt steal that much from the people.

i admire him but i know what he did was TECHNICALY wrong.

ps: HE GOT PLASTIC CIRGURY? pls answer

  • Wish they had used an American narrator, rather than a Canadian.

  • Dillinger was bold and reckless, but face it,

he botched everything. He killed 14 people & seriously wounded as many more.

All those families were left without their father, husband & breadwinner in the midst of the Depression.

Not my idea of a hero.

    Thanks for posting this video.

  • Dillinger only killed 2 ppl all together, if u heard well, it says that there were 14 confirmed kills from Dillingers gang. Not just Dillinger himself, just letting u kno

  • the FBI killed more innocent bystanders in the Hunt!

  • yea FOR REAL!! every1 seems to ignore that side of it...when an F.B.I. agent dies or is killed, its OMG, how terrible, whoever killed the agent must be a terrible person...when a criminal is killed(also a human being regardless), its O, he deserved it, fuck him....n the F.B.I/Government most likely has killed just as many innocent by standards in history, in war and chasing outlaws like john....just in this case, it shows the F.B.I. was willin 2 do ANYTHING to get wat they want, killing 2...

  • it goes both ways...n ALL the dead are human beings....and agents kill innocent to get what they want, as do the criminals...so who is to say which is right n wrong: i think GOD, thats bout it....dats y did world is so fucked up, but we are getting better and smarter...especially america, i believe we are trying....but things HAVE been fucked up for a long time, and god wouldnt approve of the outlaws/gangsters in history, nor would he approve of the laws actions...how i feel

  • They were all Cops - so they don't count as people. they are more like Pigs!

  • R.I.P JD

  • JD betrayed by a women .... never trust these bitc*hes

  • sad sad story

  • I can totally understand how Dillengers exploits could be romanticized and he could be viewed as a "champion of the people" but all in all, in the end, NO ONE is above the law. I mean, people totally ignore the fact that he killed PEOPLE, officers who were doing their jobs to provide for their families. Dillinger IS a character, and you couldn't make the shit he did up, but he was a criminal, and the law was created to deal with such.

  • John Dillanger is real American Hero.

not only did he rob the banks that took away farmer's homes, but he alluded the Child molesting cross dressing J Edgar Hoover.

add that to the fact he killed a few cops and I would say he should be remembered as A patriot.

    God Bless John Dillanger

  • i think its sick how the cops pose with his body like its a deer.. i hate when people put others life down then do the same things there killers to for killing people while looking for him then to show off his body its sick and not the right kind of human act for the law..how would they like it if he posed with there cop friends the gang killed?? sure they would not like that.

  • Your Retarded, you must be a worthless liberal

  • i am not a liberal i dont take sides. i know how messed up cops can be there no better. like u.

  • i think your right that was disgusting and i hate pigs they suck john dillenger was respected because he had respect for others in his own way yes he robbed banks but he only killed to save his own life

  • he wouldnt have had to kill if he wasnt robbing banks.

  • he never meant to kill anyone even when he was robbing banks!,

he was just like Jesse James,

he just like to rob banks and ride and have a good time,

he wouldn't kill anyone unless they got in his way!,

do you EVER bash John Dillinger!!... EVER!!! >:(

  • duh. you are the most delusional people I have ever seen. I cant believe you are supporting this murderer. Oh poor guy somebody got in his way and he couldnt have fun anymore. So he killed them. listen to yourselves. IDIOTS

  • Comment removed

  • nobody today is any different than anybody of that time,

    criminal, lawman, or civilian,

we're all the same wether you like it or not,

don't you ever try to make yourself up to look better than John Dillinger,

you're no better tyhan the rest of the scum of the earth!!

  • ok moron. i sell stuff for a living. people pay for a service. they get it. I dont remember killing anyone or harming anyone EVER. So keep idolizing scum like Dillinger and justify your pathetic life by idolizing someone who was a pathetic person who murdered to get what he wanted.

  • you take something from them don't you?,

    MONEY!!,

the heart of the worl beats on money,

take that away and everything pretty much goes to shit!!,

and if you know that whatever you're selling is a piece of shit and doesn't work and they pay you anyway without know it doesn't work, it's the same as robbing them,

    Dillinger did the same thing...

  • ...his service to the public was giving the people the opportunity to live in return for their money,

if they refused he killed them,

    it was that simple,

it did the people no good because after they had been robbed they didn't have anything left to live off of,

and he took their money in exchange for nothing!,

    just like a fucking busiessman,

it's simple logic that defines Dillinger's reason for what he did,

he just tried to show the people that they were just as pathetic as everyone else

  • i sell a good that works. im not taking peoples money. Its called work, maybe you should try it. And watch the videos again because he didnt just kill people who wouldnt give their money. He murdered innocent police officers. You are pathetic idolizing someone who had to kill to get what he wanted. I idolize hard workers who are honest.

  • what John Dillinger did he concidered work also,

and with the way the juistice system was/is says that there is no innocence in our society,

even the police have crossed the line on occasion...

  • ... several white officers beating up a black man when he was clearly lying helpless on the ground trying to give himself up anyay,

a white officer shooting a black man killing him just because the officer sees him reach into his coat pocket for something which the officer automaticly believes is a gun later they find out that he had nothing but a diamond ring in his pocket and he was getting ready to propose to his girlfirend when the officer shot him,

    where's the innocence in that?...

  • ... if innocence can be taken it just proves one thing and that being THERE REALLY IS NO INNOCENCE

people running loose in the streets committing random acts of injustice only proves that THERE REALLY IS NO JUSTICE,

and the world revolves all around one thing and that is MONEY AND MAKING A PROPHIT,

    John Dillinger knew that...

  • ...all he wanted to do was show the people what they refused to see in life,

what they neglected to see the most of was TRUTH that there is NO TRUTH, NO JUSTICE and NO INNOCENCE in what we do to get by with our lives

  • ... and if life can be taken as you say John Dillinger took lives then that just goes to show you that NOBODY EVER TRUELY LIVES AT ALL

THEY WERE ALREADY DEAD BEFORE THEY EVEN KNEW IT,

all that mattered was the time they chose to realize it,

John Dillinger chose that time because they refused to do for themselves,

HE DID SOCIETY A FAVOR BY OPENING IT's EYES TO WHAT WAS OUTSIDE!!

  • man you are one screwed up guy. Well im not going to say another word after this because i just got a glimpse of what I am dealing with. You have no ability to think logically. I supposed you'd like it if some hero came along and took your life so that my eyes could be opened? think of what you are saying.

  • It's "you're" retarded. Go back to grammar school.

  • Who the hell was the government to declare John the "Public Enemy". Clearly he wasn't, as people secretly admired him. The main people who seemed to want to turn him in were desperate people who wanted a reward for it, and weren't really so much concerned about justice.

  • X marks the spot...and lets point to it to confirm. Lets hold up newspapers that I cant read without the zooming in. Yet they still knew how to dress well

  • i cried when he died when i watched the movie

    he didnt deserve to die.

i know that he was a bank robber, and he killed a guy, but i swear, he didnt deserve it!!!!!!!

  • @KelsKelsThaDino yeah i tought that the scene when he was looking the movie nd it was almost the same as his life and what happen touched me and when he died i was sad cuz he was very interesting i wish i had lived in that time and met him...

  • great video. Am currently working on a book about an accomplice of Dillinger's.

  • i have been to little bohemia several times... they still have the windows in that were riddled with bullet holes..which were mostly on the side of the restaurant....star lake is right below it.. it feels weird knowing that i could be walking in the exact area or even same spot as the legendary john dillinger

  • love the music

  • Interesting. There should still be people out there like these men.

  • There are. :o)

  • Dillinger is a LEGEND, its 2009 and he still manages to capture the imagination of the public. In my opinion? He was the original Gangster, people had no faith in the banks then so they cheered when they heard they were getting robbed, funny nothings changed since 1933. A Legend in his own right. Stuck both finers up at the law and the wanky banks!

  • The reason people like John Dillinger is not because there stupid but because they like what he stood for (except for the killing bit). He stuck his middle finger up at the authorities and said screw you.

So in actuallity he was a truely free man unlike most of us folk who are trapped in a shit job until we die and generally get screwed over by the government and our employers.

  • @coconut7joemanji I agree and also cause he made them look stupid. they couldn't find him worth nuttin. and he did whatever he wanted

  • @coconut7joemanji what a load of shit. jeeze no wonder the world is a mess. we really should support 'free men' like this.

he could only steal from banks because hard working people earn real money and want to have a decent life.

he's just a greedy no good criminal and i would of happily handed him to the police as i would now for any criminal.

  • @aahuggett Check out the concept of nihilism. Most commonly, nihilism is presented in the form of existential nihilism which argues that life is without objective meaning, purpose, or intrinsic value. Moral nihilists assert that morality does not inherently exist, and that any established moral values are abstractly contrived. Morality and hence law are irrelevant within the context of the universe therefore as far as im concerned anyone who acts as he or she wishes is superior...

  • @coconut7joemanji Morals are simply just feelings. your born with them, to what extent you allow them to go to is down to your genetic make up i.e. if you steal something, despite your better judgement, you allow yourself to overcome natural in born feels, such as guilt (some people can overcome these things easier than others, either way no one deserves praise for the ability to do this readily). Colonies all over the world wouldn't of socially evolved in such similar ways otherwise.

  • @aahuggett to your "hard working" mentally enslaved peons.

  • Thanks for that Horselips

  • hehe, tnkx buddy :)

  • im a big dillinger fan legend thanks 4 postin this was a top watch

  • john was the Man

  • Your a tosser, he was a scumbag, in fact your the tosser!!

  • from all the other comments about Dillinger u picked mine to show how much of a troll u r? by saying he's the man, i didn't say what he did was right.

  • RIP

  • @Metatarsal you're a twat you don't like it don't watch it or you could kill you'r self and get someone to post that on line that would be fun.

  • OH! so thats why his death mask didnt match most of his photos. plastic surgery.

  • Thanks for posting this, i'm a huge Dillinger fan.

  • Dis A Real Gangsta

  • Whatever you say queer fuck, to bad you can't say that to his face huh lol I would pay to see that.

  • the info here is all wrong and skewed .. like anna sage didnt take the 10,000 dollar bait ... she was romanian and was going to be deported so she tipped them and helped them find Dillinger so that she wouldnt be deported.

  • The dogs didn't alert the gang. It was the gunfire on CCC mistakenly dealt out by the FBI. This doc is predictably slanted toward pro-law enforcement and patriotism

  • Melvin (Horace) Purvis who led the hunt

for Dillinger resigned from the FBI in 1935. Persecuted by the "jealous" Edgar

Hoover and suffzering from Cancer he shot himself dead 29th Feb 1960.

  • i like how they showed actual footage, but the documentary was missing a ton of information, many peices of dillingers crime span was not shown or talked about

  • Over 3 parts, this doco is about 30 minutes long. Theres only so much you can fit in.

However I think in that 30 minutes, theres more than what 'Public Enemies' gave the viewer in 135 minutes.

  • so true im watching this and saying to myself why the hell did they not put that in the film

  • I don't think they killed Dillinger or maybe i just don't want to think its him I guess i dunno but different colour eyes there was no eye colour surgery or colour lenses in those days.. can any1 explain?

  • contact lense? lols/

  • Yea. That's a myth.

  • its nice to see what these people really looked like I wanna see a baby face nelson movie honestly

  • I find it interesting that this documentary never mentioned that JD's dad always beat him. Nowadays that would have been mentioned but back then they didn't care and they never really linkit to why a man would end up doing the crime that JD did.

  • So what, everybodys dad beat them in those day, hell my dad whuped me,glad he did too!

Bullshit excuse to be a thief and a killer

  • true true

  • Gangster needs more firepower so he heists the local Police Station... Now THAT'S f*cking Balls!!

    You gotta Love Dillinger...

  • hells yah
