Ken reminds me of Johnny Cage. Looks good enough to compete but always comes up short in a real match. His platform belongs in a choreographed fight scene. Why do the programmers always do this? Hey team Ken, your character blows chunks.

Y is there so much hate for Ken? LOL. Look at Momochi & Dragonboy's Ken. Over here in the states, we have the wrong mentality. It's not about Ken's faults, it's about exploiting the PLAYER'S faults. Playing the character will only get u so far. Have to learn how to play the player. That's the Japan player mentality. Let's get it right US. Even though I like Daigo, but I'm personally tired of people from other countries coming over and taking the big tourneys. US STAND UP!!! LETS TAKE IT BACK!!!

ken in ssf4 is slightly better however i found that theyve slowed down the input of his target combo which was pointless and annoying, overall he isnt a completely useless character but to be at any real level you do have to put some serious hours in, in the training room

hey. i play ken and i notice all those problems too! like man....it sucks lol. dont know what to say cuz u sum it up so well. but does anyone besides me notice that his focus take more time to make opponents fall? i dash out expecting to hit them on the way down, and get uppercutted or piledrived or whoever im playing. but when i play with ryu, it seems no matter how long i hold it, they fall? does anyone know if that is a real tangible part of the game? or is it just me?

I mostly use Ken, Ryu, and Akuma but that is because I grew up with them. And they are like Paladins in World of Warcraft. You just cant fuck with em.

Ken requires too much work to compete at the level needed to win a high level tourney... which is why many top players who played him when SF4 first came out (EdMa included) switched to other characters. Ryan Hart said he realised he was never going to win a tournament with Ken... sad, but true.

I thought the same thing too, but he is too fun to give up....Hopefully with SSF4 , Ken will go up in the Tier rankings.. I've been training with him for so long, dont want to give him up. His new Ultra should help out alot as far as range and damage is concern and should connect on FADC. other than that give him faster recovery on DP.
