digitaljoke ~ thats the problem, we needed love to "endure" not "indure" !
Just jokin' I was there and the whole event was managed very well until the end when a few idiots thought they were the most important people on site and should leave first. Result was a prang and a punch up. They could not have been Shakey fans though as they left before he did Day In The Life.
Agree with 19111967 that he over played No Hidden Path but otherwise..... Brilliant.
Neil's a living God! Shame everyone turned into selfish idiots just as soon as they where back in their little cars trying to get home. Didn't take long for the love to go and you all to forget lyrics like 'love and only love will indure' -Peace
I know exactly what a Neil young gig is all about have been a Neil young fan for 30 years probably longer than you were born son, have seen him play live 11 times now,hes a genius but even the most hardened fans think that 30 minutes for a song 25 of which is a repetitive solo is pushing it, even for Neil young. If it had been like a hurricane maybe there an excuse, but not a new song off the last album, which by the way was written over 30 years ago and only released now. Back 2 westlife you go
I absolutely loved it! Glad I braved the shitty weather. Now I'm off to see Jimmy Cliff for free on Sunday and then Iggy and the Stooges at the end of August, that's 3 off my must see list, woohoo!
Great stuff. The man is a legend I was in the front only a couple of yards from the barrier. A fantastic set with this great encore - The only problem - 2 hours is never long enough from one of greatest ever rock performers. Since Dec 07 I've now seen him 3 times in NY, Manchester & Hop Farm. When he last toured I never thought I'd see him again!! Until the next time. Cheers for the video.
I thought everyone apart from the Guillemots were pretty awesome. But Neil Young just blew the place apart. He was up there and out there, and put so many of us younger bands to shame. Oh - if you're in the Guillemots - you're s**t.
See i thought the other way around. Primal scream sounded like they had given up being cool for lent, whilst neil put in a decent electric set when he has been doing acoustic stuff recently. Loved it
primal scream better than neil young? What festival were u at? Primal scream were boring as anythin. Shame cos i wanted em to impress me the first time i seen em. Neil young was to much the sound was intense.
Really enjoyed it. Supergrass were excellent as well.
